What a coincidence though haha. I guess this was a sign for you to finally start it. I hope you enjoy it!! As for my recommendations, I got Id Invaded and Gosick. I've already finished Id Invaded and it wasn't really my thing tbh ^^; It started out pretty good, but by the time I reached the ending, less and less things actually made sense. I feel bad for not liking a rec as much as I wished I had, but oh well. Hopefully I'll enjoy Gosick more when I get to it.

Yeah, he annoyed me too. Hina's confession took me by surprise though, I didn't think she'd be so honest! But yeah, I'm pretty sure Chinatsu likes Taiki too, so Hina doesn't have much of a chance. Lately, I started to like Kyou too. Hoping we'll get to learn more about him soon.

I think Romantic Killer was my last reverse harem too. But I already dropped Koishima after the first ep xD I'm... not a fan of the romance at all. Tasokare Hotel, on the other hand, managed to keep me interested. I was worried about it being a game adaptation too, but so far it's pretty good.
Yep, I've started reading the Apothecary Diaries from the beginning! The anime is pretty faithful to the LNs imo. Because the first season adapted volume 1 & 2, so they don't really skip much. Though of course, the LNs are a little bit more detailed. I also love how we get to focus on the mysteries more. Ohh yeah, I don't remember that part being long in the novel either xD I'm currently on volume 3 and I'll most likely read it along with watching the anime. I have yet to see the famous Jinshi and Maomao scene lol.
Zenshuu being an isekai took me by surprise haha. I expected something different, but so far it's pretty much your average isekai imo. But it's pretty enjoyable! I find it ironic how Mappa has an anime about an overworked animator though xD

Oh no, well, I have to prepare myself for Aqua's stupid choices then. Speaking of ridiculous things, I also found it funny how Akane and Ruby found the doctor's corpse so easily when no one could. Especially since the police was looking for him lol.
I think I'm fine waiting for Kaguya's sequel (if there will ever be one), but if not, I might read the manga just to see how it ends. Ohh, so Record of Ragnarok is kind of like Baki or Solo Leveling. Both have great art but not much else haha.

Oh gosh, tell me about it! Kaiser's backstory felt a bit cheap, since making it sad is a classic way to make us readers feel sorry for a character. I still think he is a bad person xD
Ahh Kunigami was also among my favourites, but I still have high hopes for him. Hoping he'll return to his normal self in the end. I forgot about Hiori having a sadist side haha But oh no, Reo better do something soon. He is still your favourite, right?

For me, it's obvious I'll like the Nagi spinoff manga since he is my favourite character, but a lot of people seem to agree as well. It's impressive how the author manages both the spinoff and the main manga at the same time. Oh yeah, definitely! Nagi just doesn't know how to express himself much. And about ORV, to me it's one of the greatest story I've ever witnessed. It's story just doesn't only gets better but exceeded every expections I had. And characters, at first their chemistry might not feel great, but belive me as the story progresses, it gets so good, you start to connect with every character and it's world building is unlike anything ever seen ( except very few other stories). I love it so much, I can't even begin to describe it. I'm not very good at explaining thing. If you know about gigguk, you can watch his video about it. He explained it decently.

Have you seen Serial Experiments Lain? Haha omg, it didn't seem like that to me at all! But I'm not sure if it's because I really love atmospheric shows or not ^^; I also saw some people say that the beginning of Texhnolyze is very boring, which is not true at all! I was so ready for to be like Angel's Egg, but they talk a lot more than I expected. The MC barely talks though, so that part is true at least.

Idk why Chinatsu is a lovely character and all, but she has zero chemistry with our MC... But anyways, we'll probably get a second season so I won't be reading the manga. But do let me know if anything interesting happens!
Ohhh right, that was the episode I liked too! I just wasn't sure if it was 6 or 7 lol. Honestly, I find it pretty entertaining now, but it's still nothing special. The new guy is kinda annoying too. But I'll probably keep watching because it's a very dumb but sometimes fun show imo. And the opening grew on me, I was skipping it until like ep 9 lol. I can't believe it ended like this though, what kind of cliffhanger is that?? And why does Momo always end up in such weird scenes :/

I'll be watching all the ones you've mentioned (except for Medalist maybe, not sure yet) and also Toilet Bound Hanako-kun S2, Koishima, and Tasokare Hotel, so there are a loot of shows haha. The ones I'm most excited about are Toilet Bound Hanako-kun S2 (I've been waiting for this for so long!!), Apothecary Diaries S2 (started reading the light novels and will keep reading alongside the anime) and Link Click ofc. But overall I'm pretty curious about everything!

Okay, even though I enjoy NEL arc so far, I also can't argue with anything you said, so that probably says a bit about this arc lol. Isagi is the MC, so of course the focus needs to be on him, but I agree the other characters are kind of getting neglected lately... I really don't like how Isagi and Kaiser seem to be the center of the universe right now xD But ohh which characters you liked before but hate now?
I wonder if they'll even adapt NEL, considering what they did with the second season, I doubt it'll turn out good :/ But yeah, I agree that S2 is getting too much hate. I personally enjoy it even if I expected more xD

Yes! That's what drew me to Orv as well!! I came across a certain quote, that was kind of a spoiler tbh, but that's what motivated me to finally start it. Though the story is more complicated than that, it is definitely similar to Link Click or Madoka in that aspect. I hope you'll end up enjoying the manhwa too! You're so lucky to find the physical copies at the library haha.

Honestly, I think my expectations were just too high when I watched it. Because of all the praise it kept receiving and the space setting, I kind of wanted to watch a masterpiece. But it was okay, nothing truly memorable for me. Even among soo many characters I found nothing special, except for maybe 2-3 that I liked. But I'm curious what you'll think of it when you watch it!
Yep, Moomin has an anime! And it's supposed to be really charming/relaxing too. Hopefully all of them will be good. City Hunter seems like such a fun show, I didn't know it had a k-drama too :o
Haha I should probably let you know that Texhnolyze is quite slow paced. I didn't find that boring since I loved the atmosphere, but just know that it's not as flashy as Psycho Pass or even Ghost in the Shell.

Why do you dislike it? I think it's fine, not the best arc but still looking forward to every new chapter! I personally wouldn't mind waiting for longer if that meant the adaptation's gonna be amazing. But maybe they hurry so much to make sure people don't lose interest? This is especially true for shounen where most fans are younger. Ahh that's too bad. The manga is really good and it would've been nice if the movie could capture at least a bit of that, but oh well. I wonder if they'll ever make a sequel movie xD

The novel was insane, but in a good way! I haven't seen anything like it before. Loved how it started as your average reverse isekai type of story, then it got better and better with each new thing that was revealed. The characters and found family was sooo nice, literally one of my favourite troupes! So the webtoon only adapted the first book (on goodreads there are 5 books + 1 book dedicated to the epilogue), and it's currently on the second book, so it's not even half of the story yet but it's pretty good! Obviously the novel is way more detailed and it is the best option for this type of story. And it's finally getting an official english translation, so yay! Way more people will be able to read it. I have to admit I'm feeling a bit empty now that I don't have any Orv chapters to read anymore... maybe it's time to get into LOTM xD

Yeah, I was also thinking the same thing. But since we haven't seen the whole story yet, there's a chance she might appear more later! I really hope that's the case haha.

I'm not sure about the others but maybe Till could have survived since we don't know the aftermath of that round. Mizi could have gotten him out of there and treated Till in time. I'm hoping she had some kind of plan and didn't run to the stage out of desperation just to be able to face him one last time. I don't want to give myself false hope so for now, I'm gonna assume the losers of each round are dead, tragic as it is.

If I had to pick one then it'd have to be Till. It was easy to get attached to his character because we've seen his backstory and his performances the most. Luka seems like an easy character to hate but they're all in the same predicament. Can't blame him for using his opponent's grief against them, the guy was really in it to win/survive.

Despite the lack of popularity on MAL, Alien Stage seems to be doing very well with views on YouTube. It's cool they don't leave their fans hanging and put out extra content weekly even with a few creators. Seems like a 4th rewatch is in order after reading the posts.

Oh, it's been so long since I've watched Yuu Yuu Hakusho, I have to watch it from the beginning again haha. And I failed to see what makes LOTGH so special, but I'm curious what you'll think of it. So besides Detective Conan, I'm also interested in One Piece (though maybe I'll start with the remake lol), Moomin, Versailles no Bara, City Hunter and World Trigger. There are more on my ptw list, but let's say these are the ones I'm most curious about at the moment. What can I say, I love getting into long shows, especially if I end up loving them haha.

Texhnolyze is a Madhouse original! That's what drew my attention in the first place, plus I love cyberpunk shows so I had to check it out. I've recently finished it and it's a very philosophical show. Now I'd be lying if I said it wasn't depressing, but to me, the ending still gives you hope. I can't say much without spoiling, but since it's an open ending, you can have your own interpretation and that basically reflects how much hope the viewer has as well. There's also a character that reminds me of Makishima a little. And the opening song is so cool! Definitely not something I hear often in anime.
Yeah, he even said once that it's because their songs sound the same... xD Oh and yes, that's how we've discovered some of DOES' songs! They sing quite a few Gintama ops haha. And all of them are bangers! Magical Destroyers op is definitely interesting, I was surprised to see something so experimental in an anime op lol. I think it's a parody and talks a lot about otaku culture, which makes me wonder why it has such a low score. Too bad I didn't watch it when it was airing, now I don't have enough motivation to watch it xD
Hmm, maybe that One Piece remake will top Frieren if it ends up being really good (I just noticed that One Piece fan letter is currently number 2!). Witch Hat Atelier also has potential, but not sure it can go that far. There are lots of potentially great shows, which is exciting!

For Blue Box I like the pink hair girl so far, she has a fun personality compared to the other two. But I kind of have a feeling she zero chances with the MC and she exists only for the love triangle... Dandadan on the other hand is just not funny. Any good moment they have is ruined by the stupid comedy, it really sucks because it could've been a good show. But sure, I'll let you know if something interesting happens!
Ohh I completely forgot that Fruits Basket is actually a remake too! Then that's also my favourite (I really didn't like the last season tho). Ranma is soo cute! I also like the VA they choose for him a lot, so maybe that also helps haha. Oh, but now I'm curious about that character and what he did xD Feel free to spoil stuff, I don't think it matters much with this type of show.
I'm way too lazy to check out the manga, so I'm probably gonna force myself through the last season to see. Even though reading a few chapters might be easier to get an idea, but oh well xD

Yeah, it would've been pretty nice to see that instead of seeing Aqua so miserable while trying to get his revenge. But omg, people are comparing it to JJK?? Now that sounds like really bad news, JJK has one of the worst ending I've seen in mangas lol.
Oh, I think there's a webtoon for Senpai Is an Otokonoko? I've recently seen Jigokuraku on Webtoon as well, so idk. I almost wanted to read the novels for Shoushimin Series, so I can learn more about the characters haha. Maybe second season will reveal some more things about them.

Well, it's been a few months as I started reading it in June. And I like to read every night before bed, so I make good progress easily haha. I have to say though, I would've been way slower if I didn't like the novel. But with ORV I'm always curious what happens next. My ebook shows it has a total of 4095 pages and I'm currently on page 3426, it won't be long until I finish it xD

Yeah but I thought she's gonna be one of those types, that's completely different from their family, you know, the genuinely naive types. Hamayuu is really cool, I agree! She seems like a good leader. Haha true, they sure look similar xD Ohh Orb is really good so far! It's so refreshing to see shows like this. It definitely has as much potential as Yatagarasu had! I finished it last night, and wow, what a unique experience. I watched it three times in a row: first without reading the comments, second reading them after each ep, and third going in with all the info I knew. Some episodes were straightforward, and others I wasn't quite sure about but it was fun trying to put the pieces together and develop a story that goes with the music videos. The songs were very high quality so that explains the lengthy wait between eps and I'm surprised I found myself caring about the characters and their stories despite the short length and lack of dialogue. I like how different some of the theories were and there doesn't seem to be a correct one as it's up to the way we interpret it. With Round 2 especially, there seem to be a lot of different theories about that one.

What was your favorite song/round? The songs that stuck with me the most are My Clematis and Blink Gone. After the death and sacrifices made (sua,ivan) I was hoping it would at least lead to the happiness of Till and Mizi... at least they had a final moment together </3

Ah, thought maybe a sequel would be released. Six months between each episode is wild O_O I'd rather get into it when we have a complete season at least but that's not gonna happen anytime soon...It took me 3 years to finish Gintama so I know the wait isn't the main issue for me, it's the fact that I can't fully control my watching pace with currently airing shows lol but this isn't your typical one so I'm willing to just dive right in and treat ep 1-10 as the first cour.

Heyaa, I was hoping to get more info on Alien Stage. I wanted to watch as soon as you recommended it but was waiting until it finished airing. I just now noticed it first aired in 2022 and just finished recently? There are so few episodes tho (10 I think) were the episode releases purposefully far apart or did they go through a hiatus?

That's good news, because it definitely seems like the type of show I'll love. It's just so long, I'm a bit intimidated ^^; But since it's episodic, it might just be perfect for watching from time to time, when I need my dose of mystery lol. Yes, he really praised Texhnolyze and said the ending is actually pretty hopeful, if you look deeper (I heard the story is really bleak) so that made me curious. Hmm, my taste when it comes to favourite characters is all over the place so I can't say for sure, but my brother and I are probably like that too. We usually like very different characters haha. Omg my brother doesn't like Yoasobi at all! And I really enjoy most of their songs. We both love DOES, but our music taste isn't that similar. Oh no, hope they won't ruin her character too much. The recent plot twist in the anime was something I kiiind of expected but at the same time not. So their father is still alive... it would've been too easy if Aqua could just enjoy life and try to move on now ^^;
So what was your fav summer anime? Mine's definitely Shoushimin Series though it was far from a perfect show. I loved how they solved little mysteries here and there, and the atmosphere was so chill. Watching an episode every week with a cold drink was the dream haha.
That really makes me want to read ToG as well and just skip the anime completely. Whenever I see something compared to HxH I get curious! And Wistoria's not even that popular either, at least I haven't heard of it before the anime lol.

Oh yeah, we'll all become like Kim Dokja and follow the story for years and years xD Solo Leveling will also take some time, probably not as much as ORV, but still a few years.
I honestly liked Nier Automata's first season better. The second one was... a little cheesy, which is a weird thing to say since it's also so much more dramatic, but nothing that happend made an impact on me personally. Maybe the game is better, but I think the anime wasn't anything special. I loved the music though! The ending song is lovely:

I can relate to the struggle of not remembering Chinese names haha. As I'm pretty close to finishing ORV, I was thinking of starting LOTM as my next big project, but maybe reading alongside the donghua would be best xD

Yay, Yatagarasu was my fav spring anime too! Oh, I usually figure out characters like that too but this time I was clueless. I totally thought Asebi would be just your typical "heroine" who'll win the prince's heart xD The reveal took me by surprise. (I also can't believe she only used the princess for her own gains!) Such an amazing story, I really really want a second season!! Too bad the novels aren't translated yet :')
