Plot and storyline is very interesting and memorable. I love most, if not all, of the characters (even the antagonists). Has well-written characters and fantastic character developments. Has put me on an emotional rollercoaster. Love it with all my heart. โงOnly have given this rating to six series total out of my entire anime/manga/webtoons list so far
9: Favorite-worthy - Similar to my rating of 10, but my willingness to re-watch/re-read it isn't quite as high, or the storyline/characters aren't as interesting/well-written. Has left some sort of emotional impact on me, yet has some minor flaws that slightly bothered me enough from giving it a 10. Extremely memorable.

7: Good - Wasn't particularly amazing but still enjoyed it. The storyline and characters were solidly written. Doesn't stand out enough to get a higher rating. Relatively easy to get this score but much harder to get any higher.
6: Okay - I enjoyed it for the most part but it didn't offer anything special. Most likely had a strong start but went downhill at some point. Not particularly memorable but still barely above average.

Felt nothing after watching it or an initially decent show turned stupid, but at least partway it was entertaining to a certain extent. Not memorable/distinctive.
4: Disappointing - The negatives outweigh the positives. Felt like I wouldn't have a problem dropping it but probably continued out of curiosity on how it ends or because I'm already almost done with the show. There were one or two redeemable qualities, but everything else was subpar. Storyline was bland and predictable, characters were very stereotypical/annoying. Probably would forget the storyline within a few days.

1: Utter piece of dung - Thinking about the series makes me want to slap myself for even trying to watch/read it in the first place, although if I manage to finish a show with this rating it's probably because the writing is so bad it's funny to watch. Everything is terrible and stupid. Hate the characters and the storyline.

I'm not sure about the others but maybe Till could have survived since we don't know the aftermath of that round. Mizi could have gotten him out of there and treated Till in time. I'm hoping she had some kind of plan and didn't run to the stage out of desperation just to be able to face him one last time. I don't want to give myself false hope so for now, I'm gonna assume the losers of each round are dead, tragic as it is.
If I had to pick one then it'd have to be Till. It was easy to get attached to his character because we've seen his backstory and his performances the most. Luka seems like an easy character to hate but they're all in the same predicament. Can't blame him for using his opponent's grief against them, the guy was really in it to win/survive.
Despite the lack of popularity on MAL, Alien Stage seems to be doing very well with views on YouTube. It's cool they don't leave their fans hanging and put out extra content weekly even with a few creators. Seems like a 4th rewatch is in order after reading the posts.
Oh, it's been so long since I've watched Yuu Yuu Hakusho, I have to watch it from the beginning again haha. And I failed to see what makes LOTGH so special, but I'm curious what you'll think of it. So besides Detective Conan, I'm also interested in One Piece (though maybe I'll start with the remake lol), Moomin, Versailles no Bara, City Hunter and World Trigger. There are more on my ptw list, but let's say these are the ones I'm most curious about at the moment. What can I say, I love getting into long shows, especially if I end up loving them haha.

Texhnolyze is a Madhouse original! That's what drew my attention in the first place, plus I love cyberpunk shows so I had to check it out. I've recently finished it and it's a very philosophical show. Now I'd be lying if I said it wasn't depressing, but to me, the ending still gives you hope. I can't say much without spoiling, but since it's an open ending, you can have your own interpretation and that basically reflects how much hope the viewer has as well. There's also a character that reminds me of Makishima a little. And the opening song is so cool! Definitely not something I hear often in anime.
Yeah, he even said once that it's because their songs sound the same... xD Oh and yes, that's how we've discovered some of DOES' songs! They sing quite a few Gintama ops haha. And all of them are bangers! Magical Destroyers op is definitely interesting, I was surprised to see something so experimental in an anime op lol. I think it's a parody and talks a lot about otaku culture, which makes me wonder why it has such a low score. Too bad I didn't watch it when it was airing, now I don't have enough motivation to watch it xD
Hmm, maybe that One Piece remake will top Frieren if it ends up being really good (I just noticed that One Piece fan letter is currently number 2!). Witch Hat Atelier also has potential, but not sure it can go that far. There are lots of potentially great shows, which is exciting!

For Blue Box I like the pink hair girl so far, she has a fun personality compared to the other two. But I kind of have a feeling she zero chances with the MC and she exists only for the love triangle... Dandadan on the other hand is just not funny. Any good moment they have is ruined by the stupid comedy, it really sucks because it could've been a good show. But sure, I'll let you know if something interesting happens!

I also like the VA they choose for him a lot, so maybe that also helps haha. Yeah, it would've been pretty nice to see that instead of seeing Aqua so miserable while trying to get his revenge. But omg, people are comparing it to JJK?? Now that sounds like really bad news, JJK has one of the worst ending I've seen in mangas lol.

Well, it's been a few months as I started reading it in June. And I like to read every night before bed, so I make good progress easily haha. I have to say though, I would've been way slower if I didn't like the novel. But with ORV I'm always curious what happens next. My ebook shows it has a total of 4095 pages and I'm currently on page 3426, it won't be long until I finish it xD

I finished it last night, and wow, what a unique experience. I watched it three times in a row: first without reading the comments, second reading them after each ep, and third going in with all the info I knew. Some episodes were straightforward, and others I wasn't quite sure about but it was fun trying to put the pieces together and develop a story that goes with the music videos. The songs were very high quality so that explains the lengthy wait between eps and I'm surprised I found myself caring about the characters and their stories despite the short length and lack of dialogue. I like how different some of the theories were and there doesn't seem to be a correct one as it's up to the way we interpret it. With Round 2 especially, there seem to be a lot of different theories about that one.
What was your favorite song/round? The songs that stuck with me the most are My Clematis and Blink Gone. After the death and sacrifices made (sua,ivan) I was hoping it would at least lead to the happiness of Till and Mizi... at least they had a final moment together </3
Ah, thought maybe a sequel would be released. Six months between each episode is wild O_O I'd rather get into it when we have a complete season at least but that's not gonna happen anytime soon...It took me 3 years to finish Gintama so I know the wait isn't the main issue for me, it's the fact that I can't fully control my watching pace with currently airing shows lol but this isn't your typical one so I'm willing to just dive right in and treat ep 1-10 as the first cour.
Heyaa, I was hoping to get more info on Alien Stage. I wanted to watch as soon as you recommended it but was waiting until it finished airing. I just now noticed it first aired in 2022 and just finished recently? There are so few episodes tho (10 I think) were the episode releases purposefully far apart or did they go through a hiatus?

Yes, he really praised Texhnolyze and said the ending is actually pretty hopeful, if you look deeper (I heard the story is really bleak) so that made me curious. Hmm, my taste when it comes to favourite characters is all over the place so I can't say for sure, but my brother and I are probably like that too. We usually like very different characters haha. Omg my brother doesn't like Yoasobi at all! And I really enjoy most of their songs. We both love DOES, but our music taste isn't that similar. So what was your fav summer anime? Mine's definitely Shoushimin Series though it was far from a perfect show. I loved how they solved little mysteries here and there, and the atmosphere was so chill. Watching an episode every week with a cold drink was the dream haha.
That really makes me want to read ToG as well and just skip the anime completely. Whenever I see something compared to HxH I get curious! And Wistoria's not even that popular either, at least I haven't heard of it before the anime lol.

I honestly liked Nier Automata's first season better. The second one was... a little cheesy, which is a weird thing to say since it's also so much more dramatic, but nothing that happend made an impact on me personally. Maybe the game is better, but I think the anime wasn't anything special. I loved the music though! The ending song is lovely:

I totally thought Asebi would be just your typical "heroine" who'll win the prince's heart xD The reveal took me by surprise. (I also can't believe she only used the princess for her own gains!) Such an amazing story, I really really want a second season!! Too bad the novels aren't translated yet :')

Yeah, the story in Demon Slayer is as basic as it gets, but the characters are fun. Tanjirou best boy ngl :D I think he might be my favourite shounen protagonist too. But is Himmel considered to be a role model? Interesting. As for Inosuke and Zenitsu... I actually like the dynamic between them and Tanjirou, they're very funny and different xD But Zenitsu alone.... well, he can be quite obnoxious ^^; I like his serious moments though! And Inosuke is pretty likeable, since he's so dumb lol.

My brother and I have different tastes. He doesn't watch anime as often as when the pandemic started, like he watches 2 or 3 shows per year lol. We have a few anime we both like (HxH, Ping Pong the Animation, Kino no Tabi, Garzey's Wing) but then we also have our differences, like FLCL for example. He gave it a 10 while I gave it a 2 lol.

Yeah, 111 chapters is surprisingly short. I would've expected at least 200 from a popular shounen manga. Woah, MHA had a lot of chapters! But I heard the ending isn't very good though... Yeah, some episodes are quite enjoyable but whenever there's fanservice it's ruining all the fun. This show will probably be a mix between wholesome/fun and drama with some fanservice here and there, but I'm probably gonna stick until the end. Also, I loved the 2nd ending song! It's so good and the visuals are so pretty haha.

Oh, I also had the same impression at first but so many things are going on right now, I don't think it's fair to call it a power fantasy anymore. The plot is kind of insane tbh and I'm only halfway through the novel ^^; As for the manhwa, I think it does a good job at presenting the story even if some details are left out, as expected. But it was great to read it alongside the novel and compare them! I think the story has 5 volumes in total and the manhwa is almost at the end of volume 1, so it's gonna take a really long time for it to finish :') Hmm, I think what I love most right now is the found family haha. Like yeah, Dokja has the knowledge, but he couldn't have achieved all this alone, he needs every single one of them in order to move forward. And they trust him so much, the kids act like he's their dad xD

Shoushimin Series, Make Heroine ga Oosugiru and Atri: My Dear Moments are the ones I'm most excited about, so I hope they won't disappoint. I've dropped Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita as it wasn't what I expected and Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi too because the first ep kinda bored me tbh. It looks great but it's pretty cliche so far. As always, summer season isn't very spectacular, but there might be a few good shows. For example, Isekai Suicide Squad is so stupid it's actually fun xD
And I've noticed some shows have a high rating after just one episode, like Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan, is it the animation or what is happening? I have zero interest in them xD

If I had to pick one then it'd have to be Till. It was easy to get attached to his character because we've seen his backstory and his performances the most. Luka seems like an easy character to hate but they're all in the same predicament. Can't blame him for using his opponent's grief against them, the guy was really in it to win/survive.
Despite the lack of popularity on MAL, Alien Stage seems to be doing very well with views on YouTube. It's cool they don't leave their fans hanging and put out extra content weekly even with a few creators. Seems like a 4th rewatch is in order after reading the posts.

Texhnolyze is a Madhouse original! That's what drew my attention in the first place, plus I love cyberpunk shows so I had to check it out. I've recently finished it and it's a very philosophical show. Now I'd be lying if I said it wasn't depressing, but to me, the ending still gives you hope. I can't say much without spoiling, but since it's an open ending, you can have your own interpretation and that basically reflects how much hope the viewer has as well. There's also a character that reminds me of Makishima a little. And the opening song is so cool! Definitely not something I hear often in anime.

And all of them are bangers! Magical Destroyers op is definitely interesting, I was surprised to see something so experimental in an anime op lol. I think it's a parody and talks a lot about otaku culture, which makes me wonder why it has such a low score. Too bad I didn't watch it when it was airing, now I don't have enough motivation to watch it xD

My ebook shows it has a total of 4095 pages and I'm currently on page 3426, it won't be long until I finish it xD

So what was your fav summer anime? Mine's definitely Shoushimin Series though it was far from a perfect show. I loved how they solved little mysteries here and there, and the atmosphere was so chill. Watching an episode every week with a cold drink was the dream haha.

The second one was... a little cheesy, which is a weird thing to say since it's also so much more dramatic, but nothing that happend made an impact on me personally. Yeah, the story in Demon Slayer is as basic as it gets, but the characters are fun. Tanjirou best boy ngl :D I think he might be my favourite shounen protagonist too. But is Himmel considered to be a role model? Interesting. As for Inosuke and Zenitsu... I actually like the dynamic between them and Tanjirou, they're very funny and different xD But Zenitsu alone.... well, he can be quite obnoxious ^^; I like his serious moments though! And Inosuke is pretty likeable, since he's so dumb lol.

My brother and I have different tastes. He doesn't watch anime as often as when the pandemic started, like he watches 2 or 3 shows per year lol. We have a few anime we both like (HxH, Ping Pong the Animation, Kino no Tabi, Garzey's Wing) but then we also have our differences, like FLCL for example. He gave it a 10 while I gave it a 2 lol.

Well, I finally dropped Spice and Wolf xD I couldn't stand the misunderstandings anymore and how Holo is acting all the time. Plus it got a bit too boring for me, almost nothing happend in the last episode.

Yeah, 111 chapters is surprisingly short. I would've expected at least 200 from a popular shounen manga. Woah, MHA had a lot of chapters! But I heard the ending isn't very good though... I'm not very surprised by this tbh, since the current season is getting on my nerves. I swear I thought about dropping it so many times, but it's also so close to the end!! Hmm I kinda like Aqua and Kana together ngl. She seems like the best option for him, though of course I support Aqua x therapy the most as well. The story seems to be hinting towards an Aqua x Kana ending (or so I like to think xD) but we'll see.
Yeah, some episodes are quite enjoyable but whenever there's fanservice it's ruining all the fun. This show will probably be a mix between wholesome/fun and drama with some fanservice here and there, but I'm probably gonna stick until the end. Also, I loved the 2nd ending song! It's so good and the visuals are so pretty haha.

Ohh same! The hot cocoa episode was lovely, I really enjoyed it haha. I've read the first two volumes of Hyouka so I kinda knew what to expect here, but Shoushimin Series is definitely my fav so far if we don't count the previous shows.

Well, I don't feel bad for missing any of those shows now. Ahh I can imagine how that feels >.< I would've watched Tower of God if it had a good adaptation, but there's probably nothing good about it. Why aren't they putting more effort into webtoon adaptations? TOG would've been super successful if it had a nice adaption, considering how loved the manhwa is.

Oh, I also had the same impression at first but so many things are going on right now, I don't think it's fair to call it a power fantasy anymore. The plot is kind of insane tbh and I'm only halfway through the novel ^^; As for the manhwa, I think it does a good job at presenting the story even if some details are left out, as expected. But it was great to read it alongside the novel and compare them! I think the story has 5 volumes in total and the manhwa is almost at the end of volume 1, so it's gonna take a really long time for it to finish :') Hmm, I think what I love most right now is the found family haha. Like yeah, Dokja has the knowledge, but he couldn't have achieved all this alone, he needs every single one of them in order to move forward. And they trust him so much, the kids act like he's their dad xD

Shoushimin Series, Make Heroine ga Oosugiru and Atri: My Dear Moments are the ones I'm most excited about, so I hope they won't disappoint. I've dropped Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita as it wasn't what I expected and Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi too because the first ep kinda bored me tbh. It looks great but it's pretty cliche so far. As always, summer season isn't very spectacular, but there might be a few good shows. For example, Isekai Suicide Squad is so stupid it's actually fun xD
And I've noticed some shows have a high rating after just one episode, like Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan, is it the animation or what is happening? I have zero interest in them xD
