Akira did what he had to do tbh.

Good news is that Misaki got out of this even though this was a terrible experience for her. For now, there's some sense of peace but that's not going to last in that city. Wonder what Kojima might be planned next.

It's interrogation time.

With Kojima in tow, Akira returns home, where he finds Ebihara waiting. As the young boss, Ebihara can't abandon his underling who sparked the conflict. With a heavy heart, he delivers Kojima's final judgment. Misaki is safely freed. Following Kojima's orders, Ebihara settles the score with Sunagawa. Akira looks up at the smoke from grilling saury. After overcoming the chaos, the unique residents of Taihei City enjoy a brief moment of peace.

To think that Kojima did all this.. because he had ED.... LMAOOOO. Dude got what was coming for him. He got a second chance in a world where people like him don't usually don't get a first, even luckier to get a second, and fucked it up. Poor Misaki though, almost raped aside, Youko over here fucking with her "you were likeee, not wearing clothesss".. lmaooo. Then you got Akira drawing her naked in his little sketchbook. The man is an artist what can I say. Fable fanboy is back, nice to see him again lol.

Well done Fable, or Akira should I say. You deserve that fish and rest.

As expected, Ebihara dealt with his brother, though I honestly wasn't expecting him to just kill him like that, but in hindsight I probably should have. That scene where Misaki discovered the drawing of her naked just about killed me. Peaceful indeed lol.

Now that the secret is out, everyone is made aware of the Fable, though his identity (being Akira) is stll shrouded in mystery.

With Kojima being captured by Akira to be interrogated by Ebihara, and knowing Misaki being more sufferable than she already is, the surprise of the former having ED and strangling a woman which lead to his 15-year jailtime, he intends to do Misaki the same, which obviously the plot failed. And when it does, Ebihara just can't forgive him for his repeated act, and shoots him pont-blank to call it quits with him, which Akira would've preferred it either way. And despite his failings, Ebihara still at least considered Kojima his younger brother, and wants to at least bury him in safe hands on the ground.

As traumatized as Misaki is, she's safe in the Satos' house, though having to have her naked body be witnessed by Akira, that's quite the embarrassment even though there's Yoko for help. That said, Ebihara and Sunagawa come to an agreement about Kojima's fate, though when it comes to the Fable, the former is tight-lipped since he knows who the real and former Fables are. Aside from Yoko realizing her deeds with Akira on handling Misaki after being sober, Akira is back to his Jackal stuff, and Ebihara is finally able to be discharged soon, though the secret of the Fable is getting out of hand as much as his identity is known...for a fanatic yakuza.

Cooking fish on the roof, that's Akira's peaceful life.

I am both satisfied with Kojima's death, and laughing my ass off at his erectile dysfunction, and touched by Ebihara's move to bury him. What is this anime?

Now the Kojima's been dealt with, I'm looking forward to seeing where the story's headed. Looks like Sunagawa will be the main villain now. He seemed to be a lot more rational than Kojima, and probably just as ruthless, so we'll see just how big of a threat he turns out to be. Also, nice to have Kuro back after so long.

I didn't expect Kojima killed by his brother.

Misaki blushing in this episode are the best moments😅

Okay, so Misaki will not know the true self of Akira?

So we get the mini interrogation between the captain (Ebihara) and his younger brother (Kojima) he knew everything that had went down and did him how George killed Lennie in of mice and men. Pretty poetic ending knowing that there was no way Kojima was ever going to change who he was it had to end the way it did. The rest of the episode was pretty quiet and relaxed due to all the chaos settling. Akira sitting up on the roof grilling his fish was a perfect way to end the episode. Wonder what we are in store for in this second cour 😁

  • "What do you think?"
As Akira said, so that the ED man must have been killed by the man with a scar on his eye anyway, kashira/boss didn't have to kill him by himself.
  • At first, I thought it's a dirty deed to kill a man under him from his back. But it might have been his mercy to kill him without fear and pain by doing the job by himself.

Does anyone know why captain (and bosses) tell their aniki's/underlings "don't worry.... everything will be ok..." & then proceed with the finishing move unbeknownst to them (= aniki's/underlings).

Are they (=the bosses) afraid of vengefull spirits/ghosts? Revenge in the afterlife or something like that? Any reasoning/explanation for this kind of ritual?

It's just that the adaption is not that good that's probably why the comedy is not hitting in the anime. For me, the Fable is easily one of the funniest manga I have read so far.

Youko falling asleep drunk with her eyes open, Misaki finding out the previous night's events through Akira's doodles was lol Kuroshio sure has a mancrush going.

I dont know what to think of Kojima being dead now. He was a terrible person but he has his brother to care about him even though he killed him.

I didn't expect Kojima to be executed so offhandedly and seemingly cold-bloodedly like that, but I've seen enough mafia, yakuza, cartel, street gang, etc. works by now that I probably should have.

R.I.P. Kojima.

I've seen this happen not just here and in other yakuza and Japanese media, but in a lot of organized crime films and series in general. I always interpret it as the reasoning being either one of the two or both in tandem:

1.) It's to lull them into a false sense of security so that they don't attempt to escape or physically fight and resist even in the last few seconds, to keep the element of surprise going right until the very end. Because if they were to attempt to flee or fight, even if the killer has the overwhelming advantage in that scenario, it could still be dangerous or troublesome for them.

2.) It's to give the victim some peace of mind in their final moments, especially when the killer has some personal connection to them like one of a family member or longtime friend.

I do have to say, as someone who has a very specific idiosyncratic sense of humor over quite convoluted and random things, and therefore rarely ever finds scripted humor in not just anime, but all TV series and films actually laugh out loud funny, I think that I can literally count on one hand or less the amount of times an anime series has made me viscerally audibly genuinely laugh out of almost like 300 series. And the scene in last episode of Akira's completely out of place/inappropriate for the situation loud impression of Jackal's cleaning product TV commercial was one of them. Maybe it's just as someone who regularly enjoys using obscure and highly specific/context-dependent quotes from movies and fiction in general in real life, but that rang so true.

As someone who maintains the view and has said on numerous occasions that the Comedy tag on MAL is totally overused and misused (although I've noticed it seems to have gotten slightly better since the great MAL genre label reorganization and introduction of themes and demographics tag sections within the past few years), I'm fine with this series having one. But what was completely ridiculous and not okay or reasonable was it only having a Comedy genre tag for months either instead of or in addition to Drama, Action, Thriller, etc. tags. It completely misled me to what this series would be like and what to expect from it.

Ended up being near the top of my favorite series of the entire season (so far anyway) out of 16 seasonals watched and I almost completely skipped over it and didn't start watching it until months after it started around nine episodes in because I thought it would be some gag comedy series, which I rarely watch. That was an asinine decision on the part of whoever was responsible for it.

@WatchTillTandava Yes, the same thing applies to Italian maffia movies and series. Always that cunning deception.

@The_Keyman-1 Maybe the humour translates better in the manga. The biggest laugh I got so far was that chase sequence in the very beginning when Sato was running away from that kickboxer, it looked like he was juast making fun of him, that was funny. There have been other moments here and there, but pretty much I´m enjoying more the serious stuff.

Strange ep.. how that guy who was killed first knew about second target? Even we don't know or did I forget something? When was it said that he know second target..

also why Kojima was even rescued to be killed later ;d it is good that he died but makes no sense..
and again all we seen was kiddy Akira's drawings of nude Misaki ;/
COME ON! why not show us some boobs in adult anime about killing?!

Wow. This is much better than I expected. Kojima being offed by his brother is not something I expected to see in an anime. Sunagawa is not going to letthis go though.

Lol, at the naked drawings of Misaki and her reaction. Reminded me that this was a comedy.

Killing your little brother is crazy business. Even though he was a bastard, Kojima was an interesting character who brought an interesting tone shift in the series with his appearance. I'm surprised he's already gone. Now, it seems Sunagawa might be an antagonist in the foreseeable future.

This episode was way funnier than any other episode. Bro didn't need 2 draw her naked and that whole experience😂😂 So Misaki is officially an Untouchable. Kojima's death was low-key saddening. Don't get me wrong he was a villain but damn that was sad. I wonder what's going to happen from here on out that felt like a season finale.

The Kojima threat is over now... kinda felt bad for him in the end even though he totally deserved it but from the yakuza's point of view it's still hard to have to kill someone you considered as your little brother.
Also the blond one is still simping over Fable that's hilarious.
