| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Sougo’s first appearance since the timeskip, and already attacking Shinpachi, lol. Shinpachi’s holding his own with his fight with Sougo. He’s not fighting, but Sougo’s not landing any hits either. Kanna joins the fight too! Gintoki’s drawing of Takasugi is an A+. Truly an edgelord right there. And Takechi still dresses up as Takasugi, lol. What a way for him to make his appearance too. Seems like both Matako and Takechi have been searching for Takasugi for the last two years. And meanwhile, Gintoki’s being hunted by the Naraku… still. And lol, he still can’t swim either. It’s super cool seeing Takasugi and Gintoki fight together, though the best part is when Takasugi used Gintoki and threw him at the enemies. If Gintoki’s fujoshi fanbase wanted to see Gintoki “ride” Takasugi, the got that alright, lol. Seems like there’s something Gintoki has that Takasugi wants, and no, it’s not a video game Gintoki borrowed from Takasugi. Though Takasugi got his hands on that now. Both Kanna and Sougo are giving their all here… a loli is giving Sougo a hard time, lol. Though it turns out that it was Kagura all along. Though, we had to see some creepy loli head on a large body first, haha. Talking about Shinpachi holding on his own, the moment he interfered Sougo and Kanna’s fight, he got violated pretty hard. RIP Patsuan, a cooler hairstyle don’t make him avoid being a laughing stock, pfft. Old lady Kagura, lol. Voice acting was on-point too, lol. And poor Sadaharu is still still in the same form as he was after the war. And it seems like what Gintoki had, what Takasugi wants, is Utsuro’s heart O_O 4 Chapters adapted (chapters 675-678). Minus some cut dialogues here and there, they adapted these really well. The Sougo fight was really well done, with some nice animation cuts here and there. The Gintoki and Takasugi vs. Naraku looks really bad, on par with episode 6's first half from this season. It had some serviceable animation cuts, but the artwork was really poor at times. Luckily it wasn't for long and most of the episode looked good-to-great. Almost certain that that chunk of the episode was outsourced. Didn't get to take screenshots this time since I was watching this episode someplace else. Though, with the art quality of this episode, some of the screenshots would've been funny stuff, lol On a side note though, it's been confirmed that this season is 14 episodes, and it makes sense. With the recaps they play in the ED, today's episode recaps up to episode 299. Episode 12 might recap 300-328 and episode 13 might recap 329-353. And then episode 14 would recap this season, like how every season does. My predictions is that this season will end at Chapter 686. |

| Agree. GinTaka combo fight art style looks really bad, seriously. Some of them are so badly drawn. I really hope they'd at least did the art better since one of my favorite panel is there (Gintoki riding Takasugi). Shame they didn't. OkiKagu fight looks amazing tho. Next week preview also looks great too. |

| Well, the Gintoki and Takasugi was really subpar animation wise but thankfully the comedy and action helped me overlook it a bit. Lmao I knew it that Kanna wasn't Kagura's daughter. She looks great post-timeskip just like in that two-year timeskip arc but with shorter hair here. Poor Shinpachi became a weapon during Kagura and Sougo's fight and later various sport objects rofl Damn, Kagura's attempts to restore Sadaharu has been fruitless thus far... Also, Yoshida Shoyou's heart? I like this plot point. Anyway, I wonder how far this season will go now and if the next chapters which will be serialized in Jump Giga will have enough material for another season or at least OVAs to wrap up the series. |

| Great episode as always. So Gintoki ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi? XD Has Gintoki always been unable to swim? I don't recall if he was actually unable to swim or if he was just playing off some sort of parody. xD Heh, I had a feeling that Kanna might actually be Kagura herself but I was wondering why she was shrunk. I wonder if the Kagura shrinking actually has something to do with her current state. The part where she became Kagura-baa was absolutely hilarious though. xD The Sougo fight with Kagura was awesome though. Kagura looks great post time skip. So Gintoki has Shoyo's heart? Interesting. Does he plan to bring Shoyo back? |

| Lol poor Shinpachi, being used kicked, thrown, and hit around like a baseball or soccer ball. So Gintoki has Utsuro's heart....I imagine he has plans to bring him back, if I had to guess. |

| Seeing Gintoki and Takasugi just argue and fight each other and other enemies was loads of fun. The twist in the end with Gintoki having Shoyo's heart was interesting. The art was really bad in this episode though. Very cheap looking in so many frames. Dammit BNP. |
| Well, didn't see anyone comment about it but I really liked Matako's VA performance in the episode. Something about it stuck out as being very genuine, and the Gintoki/Takasugi scenes also had the VA's pull out all the stops to have fun. Kagura is back, Okita had a neat fight and the Shinsengumi have been reformed as the mafia. I'm so glad this show exists. ... also, the moment Gintoki revealed the heart, aboard a ship at sea, I immediately thought "Ah, Davy Jones heart. Oh wait, wrong franshise." We're getting close to the end aren't we? Not of the show, but of the season. It's going to be exciting seeing how far we get, and hopefully the gorilla finishes his manga within the year. But then again, I'd prefer him taking his time fleshing out the story than not. |

| The art is horrible. It has less details and weird character faces. If not for their clothes I can hardly recognize Takasugi and Gintoki in some scenes. The humor is great as always. Takechi-hentai's lolicon feminist BS and Takasugi cosplay never fails to make me laugh. I love that only Gintoki can make Takasugi lose his cool. Never forget Gintoki rides Takasugi two times ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) |

| I love the Gintoki and Takasugi moments in the episode! They are still fucking around with each other xDD But seriously the art was terrible here. The animation was pretty ok. But the stills with barely any detail kinda ruined some of the great moments in this episode. Art aside. One of my favorite epsiodes 9/10 |
| Kagura was starting to look like she did in the movie ! If only .... And looks like 3 more episodes remain , idk how much more of the manga needs to be adapted but hopefully the Jump Giga stuff gets adapted too !!! Maybe in movie instalments...    |

| Both the duos were great in this episode. Okita recognized that she was Kagura all along and their fight was awesome though poor Shinpachi lol. The granny Kagura part was hilarious but poor Sadaharu is still in that state. Gintoki and Takasugi fighting each other and alongside each other was pretty funny, though the artwork was really bad during their fight. Gintoki seems to have Utsuro's heart which Takasugi wants and they will now be working together. |
