I honestly have no idea if Annie will have any role to play, but it is curious that Grisha said that every Titan has a special ability, and we don't really know the Female Titan's special ability(since Hardening is something all Titans can do) so we might get something.

Just started season 4 now. It's great, I'm really enjoying it.

He’s awesome from what I’ve seen but I don’t really agree/rate him as highly as you. His main strengths are laying foundations and building upon them in terms of comedy, weight and drama, he’s amazing at tone shifts (though there are some problems here and there), he has a great way of communicating his political views, and his long-term character writing is terrific. But He has quite a tendency to use metaphors in his writing for dialogue - a lot of times it’s great, sometimes it’s a bit ham-fisted and awkward. Some arcs are just flat-out not good as well IMO, especially early on, so he’s not completely consistent. I also think I might have a bit of a problem with his work with some antagonists, but I could be wrong about that so I’ll keep my mouth shut until I finish the show.

Oh, and I do agree that the Umibozu backstory was very good. It was quite beautiful.

I haven’t really been in the loop, haven’t seen the footage. I’m not really a Kojima fanboy so nothing really draws me in about it but I’ll look into it. It has to REALLY interest me to justify a purchase though.

I liked that a lot. They’re two characters who I was excited for in terms of their potential independently, so them teaming together (while not surprising, as you said) is really cool. Can’t wait to see what happens with them.
