THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was maginificent and really sweet. The chase scene looked beautiful and I really liked the colors aswell. But the "guy trips under girls skirt" scene we all know from ecchi/harem shows, shouldn't be used when an anime focuses on little kids imo. |

Innocent and emphasized his awkwardness in this case, but still overused and not necessary. A nice and simple short, much like the director's other work. Vibrant. |

What amazing imagery and sense of movement throughout. Studio Colorido truly has some great talents in their employment, such as the director Ishida Hiroyasu. |

What a brilliant short! You could definitely tell a lot of love was put into this. Unfortunately he didn't confess his feelings outright at the train station, much like the mistakes made in 5 cm, but this definitely seems a lot more hopeful! I'm rooting for them. |

this is kid's show right? But why they show panties? I notice this in Doraemon too, Shizuka Pantyshot and I bet in Japan pantyshot is like a light ecchi for children before they discover another gem like Shinmai Maou No Testament. |

Stuff for kids is way more mature then the stuff for kids in places like the US. Stuff like Bleach would be targeted at teens/adults for sure unlike over there. |

That was really wonderful. My favorites parts was when Hinata chased down the train with the animal metaphors and allusions. Great music used during that scene. I wish this was longer than 17 minutes though but managed to capture almost everything I got from it. 8/10. |

I remember the directors or producers apologizing over a dick reference in Doraemon. Probably a joke on the animator's part, but still not appropriate in context. The panty shot and the zipper moment were unnecessary. There are plenty of better ways to attempt a portrayal of "innocence", which they did just fine without it. But I loved the imagery in the second half, it was nice. |

Cute short film. I was glad he had the courage to at least say goodbye to her. |

The art was absolutely beautiful and the story sweet. and the guy's imagination was simply amazing! I loved this. The only thing I hated was how the girl grew up and didn't see the guy anymore. |

That little brat had really great stamina and speed. Because of that it was a little bit unrealistic. ;) Everything else was great. 8/10 |

This was actually pretty good, a lot better than Taifuu no Norudda in fact. I liked especially how they combined his fantasies and reality together that was just awesome. For limited time the story was also good, it managed to tell everything it needed. And the animation was just great! I'm really looking forward to future evolution of this studio and young director. It's really nice to see that manga animation faculty in Kyoto which he attended finally bears its fruit. 7/10 |

the girl loves birds the guy is into birds as well the guy wants the girl to ride his white bird sounds legit and this is how all hentai manga artists start out this was way too unnecessarily epic ishida hiroyasu should stop making these shit shorts and go to pixiv instead cocksucking bird-loving smeggot |

Wow this anime is wonderfully sweet. Nobody can't forget their innocent first love. and sometimes even now you are wondering what happen to him/her now. This anime short is beautiful, and the artwork is pretty colorful & mesmerizing. I can't understand how did this anime got low score review. This is a short anime, what did you expect ?!. The point of the ending is to show that you will never forget your first love no matter how old you'll grow up. That's why she didn't met him. expecting the ultimate happy ending to every story is not always better. Some time you need to put a little bit reality to it. |

This was good and cute. I loved a Shigure and Hinata's clumsy smitten way. But it would've been great if They didn't just show Shigure's progress in the new town, but instead showed them meeting years later and Hinata confessing for real this time. They made the movie seemed like one those children crush ones and wasn't romantic at all. It was more of a friendship thing than romance, even when he chased her to the station. I loved it nevertheless, 7/10. |

Generic, but a nice way to spend 20 minutes. Anju did her best. This will lodge in your mind forever if you're 10 years old. The best kind of nostalgia. Kinda like the Japanese version of The Snowman. Of course, Fushigi is no Walking in the Air, so that's one department this can't compare to that. |

The atmosphere of this little movie about little kids' romance is so damn cute!! I love the Hinata's fantasies and the way these birds became a deep metaphor. Such a lovely way to relax and spend some free time <3 |

There is no need such a long duration to concluded how beautiful the relations between two young souls. They were so pure that even couldn't say something filthy such as, 'love'. However, the feeling already received in a good terms and even rememberred by the girl until she was grown up. As the relations between two kids were not so deep, these show kinda indicates that no matter what, they were still connected in the same route of interest. Either if they could met each others again, or not, its depend on their fate. The beauty of a young life, was as great as their journey. One shy and clumsy boy that imagined his trip as big as the bird wings, and the other one was the beautiful cutie, unlucky girl that separated her beloved world too soon. The end? The end was nice and absolutely these stand-alone was nice too in general without a doubt. 7/10. |

An example of how some nice art direction can make even the most dull and cliche story feel like something special. It's pretty but I didn't care about the characters in the slightest, and I agree with the comment about the skirt peeks feeling awkward and unnecessary, even if they were meant to innocently symbolize the start of adolescence. |

Chase scene was the only good thing about this "movie"... and maybe Hayami Saori's participation in it. Boy's way of acting was super cringe and the ending made everything felt pointless. |

Notes from 2019: Hinata, a boy who has a hard crush on a popular girl in his class called Shigure. One day, Hinata, taking our the trash, while Shigure feeding the parakeet, notices him staring at her, as he then runs away embarrassed. The next day she comes up to his desk and sees his amazing drawing, again he runs away embarrassed. After that, they slowly get along. Although the falling and almost accidentally peeking into her skirt from under, and then falling again onto her knees was very unnecessary, her impression on the roof was that he wanted to feed the parakeet as well which is what started their relationship. One day, the teacher announces of her departure, and when she's waving goodbye to her classmates on a taxi, Hinata is seen running away and crying into the now broken pet station. After a few seconds, his resolve is brought back and he decides to run to her and confess. His chase for the taxi is depicted into his imagination as flying to her with a dove to a metro bus. ... After who knows how many blocks he's finally run and reached to her metro station ... instead of confessing his love, he hands her a drawing of them on a dove and wishes her good luck. And so it ends in a cliff hanger in her monologue of adapting to her new life and having fond memories of Hinata. Decent watch. It was ok. Very short, simple, cute, but ... it's ok. |
