Thanks a lot! And haha - yeah it is pretty insane how similarly we score things. I think we must value a lot of the same things in art and anime! : ) I've never met someone before with such little score difference. Of the 80 odd we share in common, there's only 3 animes with a score difference between us of more than 2.
I'm definitely gonna regularly stalk your profile from now on for recommendations as well!

And by the way since you seem to like creative and/or experimental animations a lot, I must say I really, really recommend the Nihon Animator Mihonichi if ever you're after more. It's up there with Robot Carnival for me in terms of the sheer creativity and consistent quality of it. Some of the very best of Japan's animators and animation directors were brought in on the project and given liberty to go wild, with the sole mission to sell/showcase their art as best they can, and so many of the shorts are so incredibly interesting, entertaining and/or batshit insane as a result. There were so many unforgettable highlights in it for me. I would be very surprised if you didn't end up loving it too!

Holy shit that's so awesome, I think you just made my day man. :D I don't really write reccs there expecting anyone to actually read/listen to them (which might seem counter-intuitive and it is--I mostly just do it because sometimes I feel this weird obligation to when things have such a large impact on me, and are so horribly obscure like Okko's Inn). I'm glad you liked it! And thank you so much for telling me! I feel rather accomplished now haha.

It is such a crime how few people have watched it on here, isn't it? Us western weebs are never appreciating anime movies enough. :( Or shorts for that matter. Or anything that isn't a 12 episode+ TV show... Ahhh.

Hi, you have to counter attack them like you see in this video from 30:05, and use your normal steel sword, they look like they are weak to that, don´t use fire or ice attacks, hope this helps:
