| So grateful for this series because now i am more certain that i don't wanna have kids lol It's nothing that happened in the show tho, even tho the premise turned out to be maddening for me but since i'm curious i won't drop it ((((yet)))), but damn THE VA WENT HARD WITH THE CHILD NOISES!!! I MIGHT JUST WATCH THIS ON MUTE THIS CHILD IS SO ANNOYING I CANNOT STAND HER. The only anime kid i'm okay with is Anya, period. God i'm traumatized by the noises |
| This episode was a perfect reminder for why I'd never want a child. Overall, this show seems to go the comedy killer route even harder than Spy X Family. Logic and seriousness have no place here. For a show that bets everything on comedy, it didn't make me laugh all that much so far. Miri tends to come off so annoying it's more painful than funny. Rei is a very cool character though. I love his attitude! |
| Thank you to Buddy Daddies for reminding me why birth control is very, very important~ Miri is absolutely chaotic, as adorable as she is annoying! Hina Kino is doing a ridiculous job as Miri, she sounds exactly like a 4 year old does, so I feel like her being super annoying is literally the point lol. I actually really like her character for being a (relatively) realistic kid, and she has great chemistry with Kazuki and Rei! I'm super excited to keep up with this one this season, honestly it just seems like a lot of fun, even if I have to suspend my disbelief for a lot of it (like the bullet dodging aha), it's just really enjoyable to watch. I've actually been laughing out loud so far, the comedy is really well done! So far it's just interesting seeing what shenanigans Miri gets Kazuki and Rei into, and how they somehow get out of them. And there's also like, dark undertones underneath all of the comedy, so it'll be neat to see if (and how) they follow through with them. I'm also excited to know that this is anime original; it's been a nice surprise for the season! |

| Miri is really an annoying brat. Also the whole setup is stupid, she's so small she doesn't understand most things then how in the world did she manage to reach the party venue all be herself even using a train!? Added to which this is the second time she's seeing a shootout and keeps on laughing, any normal child would have been scared. |

| I'm surprised this show isn't getting more popular, its pretty entertaining so far, and different from Spy x Family. Love the OP, could instantly recognize the Yoasobi sound. The ED is nice and chill too with a cute animation. |

| I'm not feeling this show; the MCs are a tropey cut rate Odd Couple, and although I've seen a couple of Miris in my life, they are the exception, not the norm. I guess being the exception is the point, but whatever. I may give this show another ep or two before I cut it. PA is an expert of giving us good shows, then releasing a clunker. |

| That was just obvious stupidity bringing a 4 years old child in a job like this. But it's also understandable since it's their first time taking care of a child. They could've asked Kugi for help. Loved the ED, I discovered DURDN on Spotify, so happy to see them work on anime for the first time. The last part of the ED where the three of them were sleeping together was so adorable. |
| A little thing : Has anyone here noticed the inscription on the gun of the evil assassin at the end ? It felt like a good detail to add, they didn't have to but it shows this guy seems ruthless. |

| I honestly didn't hate seeing Miri act like that, like some people here said, it's normal from a 4 year old.. it's just, what I can't accept is, how can she smiled, laughed and seemed really excited hearing gunshots and seeing blood? Well, maybe she doesn't understand that yet, but it doesn't change the fact that scary things are still scary. I'm actually worried about her! (and leaving a 4-year-old little girl home alone is a real concern...). Please forgive me for saying this but I'm sure if Miri hadn't joined them then their teamwork would have been really cool and great. I hope we can see some serious action from Rei and Kazuki before the end. Oh and I really just realized, the one who sang the opening was Ayase? No wonder I felt the beat was like Yoasobi's songs xD Edit: I just remembered one of my stupid memories when I was 5 years old... So, hmm.. maybe, the reason why Miri can act like that is because of the lack of parents who are supposed to act as parents (not as adults who only feed, bathe and lull her) and teach her many things. Let's hope that as the episode progresses, Kazuki and Rei can learn to be good parents so that Miri can also grow into a sweet little girl :) |

| Fun and entertaining show so far overall. It's shaping up nicely and I hope it continues to do so. Like most people it seems, I think Miri is potentially going to be a hindrance to the show. The VA is very, very shrill. You have to hope that the "problems" we see Miri causing in this episode are handled and fixed by the characters. That was the point of episode two, is to show Miri is a handful and the characters need to learn how to deal with her. If EVERY episode is her messing up their plans and screaming all the time, then it won't be great. Hopefully the point of the show is the characters finding balance. Kids in anime are very hit or miss (just like live action movies and such). Anya is successful because she is a unique oddball and meshes with the plot and characters very well. The other child characters in Spy x Family work well too. Another child character that works is the youngest girl in March Comes in Like a Lion (can't remember her name). They apply realistic young child traits to her in terms of the way she acts and talks. She's endearing and likable. Miri is quite exaggerated. She's overly cheerful and disobedient. I think there's ways they could have had her do what she does, but better. If she were weird like Anya (without directly copying the character) or simply more realistic in terms of being a child, then it would have been better. Still have high hopes for the show and looking forward to more. |

| The OP visuals are out, and it's crazy good, on top of Ayase's OP. Ahh...Miri wanting to go to the toilet, it's urgent business for Kazuki who just yeeted her, and has to take care of her like a dad. Miri definitely has Anya's energy, but even more boisterious, and now both buddy assassins have to be aware of their actions, especially when the guy that was supposed to be her dad got KIA-ed by them, which meant that they need to track her mom as soon as possible. Kyutarou wasn't satisfied with both of their performances due to the newspaper coverage, but still, jobs are given where it's due. The buddies finding their house ransacked by Miri, it's gonna be a tough one if either of them left home. Miri playing hide-and-seek with Kazuki, she just wants some entertainment, though it's her cheekiness that provides the way in for the next job. With the disguises propped, the buddy assassins are ready to go, except to calm Miri down, just give her a lot of snacks to distract her from leaving the house...but Kazuki's plan failed, so she's coming along with them. Her moment to relieve came once again, and Kazuki couldn't be bothered to take care of her, so she engaged with the guard, and as it stands, Rei's sniper shots should've been the original plan instead. But either way, their plans wouldn't work without her, and the details about Miri's origins are about to pay off with the know-how of her mother's origins. Raising a child is never this easy. |

| Honestly, the only characters I like in this story so far are Rei and the megane bartender. Kazuki and Miri get on my nerves, both individually and as a pair. Of course there are RL men like Kazuki and of course there are RL children like Miri. That fact doesn't change the fact that including them in this story in the extreme way they're presented was a good writing choice. If Kazuki doesn't become more responsible and Miri doesn't become less obnoxious within the next 1-2 episodes, I'll be dropping this. (Sorry, Rei and megane-san, but you guys aren't strong enough presences in the plot to keep me here despite the two MC's!) I feel like this is the kind of series which tries to balance comedy and darkness without compromising on either, and will end up failing spectacularly at both, kinda like Akiba Meido from last season. (I've never even considered watching/reading Spy x Family, so I don't give a damn how BD compares to that, btw.) |

| I don't know whether to love or hate the kid yet: she got on my nerves more than a little this episode but there's also something charmingly authentic about her behavior especially considering how she hasn't likely received much guidance based on what we know about her parents so far. On a more solid positive note, Toyonaga Toshiyuki's delivery in this show is just phenomenal!! It's a joy seeing how he brings Kazuki's already likeable character to life. PS. gotta love the sharpshooter plot armor |

| My word, a show with a lil kid mc that actually FULLY acts like a lil kid? Colour me surprised, that was really fun and cute. Not surprised however seeing how many people are put off by Miri but other anime with somewhat familiar premises get so hyped up and beloved: a lot of people don't like animes with small kids despise the claims, they like animes where characters look like and are addressed like kids yet are anything but xp I do wonder how they'll go about finding a way to keep the kid even though they are far from qualified or have the capacity for it, specially with the mom's information found... Unless they manage to get her killed? Hmmmm. |
| For all the people saying Miri's behavior is normal, I'm gonna be honest, I cannot relate. When I was 3, I did as I was told, My niece and nephew, when they were toddlers, they also did as they were told. Neither me, nor my niece or nephew ran around the house trashing it. We didn't do "cute" antics to get attention. The only relatable part was being sad if adults had to leave us to do something, but we would calm down when told that they will be back and when to expect them home. So no, can't really justify her behavior. I found her obnoxious af. The "cute"ness is too forced. She just came off as annoying, even a tad unbelievable. Personally, I'm hoping they calm the kid down in upcoming episodes. |

| This show is like they took the spy x family family and made them more dysfunctional lol. Annoying hyper kid and pretty shitty dad. I don't mind it though. It being a bit more cynical makes it stand out a little tonally from Spy x family, and it's still fun. |
| I loved the first episode. I laughed all the way through it and was really looking forward to episode 2. I liked Rei a lot more in this episode! The scene after the ending credits was definitely dark and held my interest. He seems interesting. BUT: Miri ruined this episode for me. I found myself wondering how much time was left and thought it was unfortunate they didn't dump her into the water and get back to the fun assassin stuff. As for everyone saying she's "a typical 4 year old": I have kids. I have nieces and nephews. My friends have kids. They do not act like this all the time. Look, I love comedy. But this was just crappy writing. Over at Reddit there are so many comments drooling over how adorable she is and I wondered if I watched a different show. I'm not comparing it to any other comedies involving kids. She is just annoying all on her own, without referencing any other child characters. Just because a character might be realistic does not make it entertaining. I just hope it gets better because it has potential. |
