| Well, I had very low expectations but was pleasantly surprised, if done right this could be one of the best Mahou Shoujo anime ever. Felt some Madoka vibes form this, specially with that Fav, he reminds me of Kyubey. Love the character designs and the animation is quite good. The premise is nothing new but let's hope they come up with good twists. Talking about twists, didn't expect the childhood friend to be a Magical Girl lol. I looks like it's gonna have some romance too, let's see how this turns out. |

| It's really interesting how there is no cohesive theme at all to the magic girls. You have a dragon-knight, schoolgirl, robot, ninja, witch, swimsuit-succubus, nun, cowboy... It's the first time I've seen so much clashing. It's like every girl had their own idea of what a magic girl should look like and Fav is fine with letting them go with that. This can be taken to mean that Fav is either extra accommodating to the girls' (+boy's) personal preferences or simply that Fav doesn't care about coordinating them. Really I think the lack of cohesion is part of the setup to allow for future conflicts. These girls (+boy) were never intended to be a team, they weren't even meant to be friends. They are visually at odds with each other and will soon be physically at odds as well. |
| Just waiting for it to get darker. It's a smart choice to tease its tone in the first couple of seconds though. That reminds me, I need to watch Madoka Magica :P 3/5 |

| pretty episode, althought the first scene was incredible, not can comparete with the resto of the series... and the best, a boy can be a "Magical Girl"....8/10 |

| Good grief, but tumblr's reaction to this show is taking the word "retard" to a whole new level.... First, we've got people celebrating Souta being a "Trans-girl" (um NO lol) and THEN some idiot is complaining about seeing "mild fan service of a girl under 18". FANSERVICE. Seeing the back of bra for two seconds is FANSERVICE now, people. |

Even though there was a girl in udnerwear, we didn't had any clear shot at her, the camera avoided giving them. Technically, this shows was telling us "you're not getting fan service in this show, give it up". I think it did a good job on that point. But yeah, for modern anime watcher anything and everything is fan service. I'm pretty sure even a white screen is fanservice for some peoples. |

| Well that was definitely interesting! I'll be looking forward to the next ep hmm hmm (Also awe MC and Sou-chan got to become magical girls together! Funny tho how the one guy we know of as has one of the "sexiest" avatars lol) Almost forgot to add! I almost hopped out bc of the art style (I love the colors and those shiny eyes are pretty pretty, but that moe squished face is so not my vibe) but then I remembered how good Madoka was (and how it had a similar art style) and decided to give it a chance. Glad I did! And re: the panty-shot...ish scenes, well.... I don't know why they were even remotely necessary, but so long as it doesn't go further than that, I think I'll live :P |

| I'm on board. I'm interested to see where this goes, as the opening scene and the post credits scene are clearly hinting at something a little more sinister than what appears on the surface. Because of Madoka Magica I instantly don't trust Fav. He gives me real Kyubey vibes. |
| .... I had high expectations for this Anime and the episode started out the way I wanted it to but proceeded to become more and more generic as it went on. The only shock was her crush being a magical girl but that was pretty much it. Wasn't terrible tho. I'll continue following the series for now. |

| So...another Madoka Magica? They didn't even give a chance to be endeared to the cute mascot. Still, a magical girl anime from the most recent season, and it looks pretty good. I could probably lose track of Koyuki in a crowd of other magical girl protagonists, but she does have a clear bit of characterization. Really not enjoying the emphasis on the mobile game, even though it's supposedly the driving force behind the magical girls. It was so cute to see a boy liking magical girls and I was actually overjoyed to see how he got to reunite with Koyuki. It's pretty rare to see boys in magical girl roles. Damn, now I have feelings for the characters. Good OP/ED themes. I'm a lot more excited to see where this series goes. |

| Hmm that was not quite what I was expecting after the opening scene but I guess there has to be some kind of intro before the action starts. All in all this looked a bit similar to Madoka Magica - just without drama. Considering the synopsis at least it'll be a bit cruel, too. Also. wtf. I was wondering why "she" was blushing suddenly then it turns out it's because he is the childhood friend of MC girl >.> Quite the surprise lol One last thing. If he doesn't like that many magical girls in the same area why not just take their "status" away again? Or is there something that prevents that? If so then they could have added that to the first episode... If not then, well, w/e. I guess if it was possible the story would be over immediately. |

Dark magical girl are still selling as poorly after madomagi as before, they're still about the same % of dark magical girl shows made compared to the total number of magical girls shows, there is still about the same number of magical girl per year post madomagi as before, and shows about magical girl still go their own way without caring about what madomagi (just like mahoiku is doing) did as well. You can bring madomagi up to the sky if you want, but madomagi is clearly considered as an anomaly inside its own genre (as an anomaly that sold well, that is, and it's quite heavily due to who was its director that brought customer in and started the necessary hype ImO). And you don't use an anomaly as a standard or a milestone. Because it doesn't teach you anything about what sell or not, about what works with the audience or not. |

Well kinda expecting it but for Sou-chan to totally transform into a girl... This was a fantastic start.. loved the OP and ED for it. Fav is playing the evil mascot this time. xD |

| I don't know what was more shocking for me : Souta being a magical girl or Ayane Sakura, the person who's voicing him, finally has a role that doesn't make me want to rip off my ears. A little slow but I enjoyed this first episode quite a bit...I'm very exicted to see how shit will hit the fan later on. The OP and ED were really nice by the way. |

| Where can I find said app to transform me into a magical boy like can I get in on that? xD ...although maybe not in this universe because I've heard this show gets very brutal (I'm sure “halving” the numbers simply means forcing them into retirement :p) I really like it so far! Snow White is really sweet and has such a sweet power and lol I can relate to Souta on a personal level. But one of them is probably gonna end up dead. Damn. Let the magical girl hunger games begin... |

| Typica6 first episode really. We get a bloody tease, followed by not much. Intro to some of the magical girls, including the main one we find out she's always wanted to be a magical girl. Nice animation and the intro/outro songs are all right. They don't drive me crazy like most other anime. It was a typical setup episode. This series is one I'm watching with my Wifu,but the review is mine with maybe a little added from her opinion. |

| GOD that transformation scene was HORRIBLE! WHERE'S THE END POSE?! WHERE'S THE FLASHINESS?! WHAT IS THIS?! I'm disappointed... if they decide to show the other girls'... they better be good. Though I do like the art style... reminds me of the 'old school anime' style. Also loving the fact that there are different 'types' of magical girls (at least thats what I think it is)... magical girl, magical knight, magical witch, magical ninja, magical nun! |
