| Been a few years since Blue Exorcist aired but felt like yesterday. Familiar characters back and especially Rin is being tested again. Mephisto is still a badass. They didn't waste much time with this opening episode though and it still contained that Blue Exorcist vibe I remember all these years, even with a slight eerie tone. Really glad they kept some of the original OSTs and happy to see all the familiar cast back. An exciting return of the show and arc! |

| It's been six years, and now we're back? I'm honestly a bit baffled about why they decided to make a sequel after all this time, but hey, I'm not complaining – I'm excited to see what they've come up with. UVERworld is back, doing the OP, and it's just okay. Born as the offspring of satan himself, Rin Okumura, a young boy aspiring to become an exorcist, takes on the troubles of his classmate, Makoto Godaiin, who struggles with seeing demons. Despite seeking advice from fellow exorcists like Ryuji Suguro, who also attends True Cross Academy, no solution is found to help Godaiin stop seeing demons. Meanwhile, Rin receives an invitation to dinner from Mephisto, the Chairman of True Cross Academy and the Head of the Japanese branch of the True Cross Order. I'm genuinely confused about why they decided to bring back this Shounen series, and like I mentioned before, I'm all in for it. My only worry is that the Shounen landscape has transformed so much since the last time Blue Exorcist was active. Also studio VLON is not doing the art at least justice. Rin looks ugly as fuck. hat Godaiin guy better not forget to use the eye lotion and end up turning into another villain. But, it looks like Mephisto's view on Rin hass changed. Whatever the hell that may mean for him... |

| Art is looking UGLY AS FUCKKK. Rin isn’t even looking Rin lol. Anyways, been a looong time since the first season, and then that second season, don’t remember much to begin with, and not like this new “season” tried anything it could’ve to revise us through the learnings of the past season. Without wasting a single second, we started with the new content, with the ever so familiar annoying voice of Rin. Now we do know the normal people can somehow not see demons in this series, the way Rin could, but hey that doesn’t mean they’d just take the comfort in making those people disappear right? Lol, anyways this being the seven mysteries arc this is, neither did Mephisto waste any time in assigning one of those to them. Good for them, they did. Hope this means the bonding is as good as it could be, and we would never see any discrimination like we “used to” in past seasons. Still, things felt rushed. At the very least, Mephisto’s view for Rin has improved, so that’s a good thing I guess. |

Shapeshifters from the portrait, huh. It's KajiKaji's character being big action this time, though vicious tongue before fighting. What HiroC's character says at the end... he's planning something? | Caught up with this just recently and really liked it! Season 2 especially. Also there are OVAs for season 2 btw, watch them too if you haven't yet! Trusted leakers say that this season will be 3 split cours! I hope that is true, and I guess that means they'll be adapting 2 arcs this time. Btw the Japanese name of Illuminati in the title, 啓明結社 (keimeikessha, but read as iruminatii) literally means "disclose bright bind society". Oh, the regular school! We don't see it often. And one of the regular students seeing spirits is really interesting. The new character designs will need some time to get used to, but I don't hate them. I don't think Rin and Yukio had red pupils before. It looks cool! 7:00 The character on Mephisto's clothes is 萌 (moe) lol Is it just me, or it feels like they are skipping a lot of stuff? They keep jumping between scenes... And I already got spoiled about Mephisto being The King of Time, but the reveal sure was casual lol Thank god they kept UVERworld as the band for the OP 🙏. Loved all the songs in the previous season and the movie. And this one is absolute fire too, loved it right from the moment when I first heard it in the trailer. The animation was really good, but I'm worried about the pacing. Gotta check out how it went in the manga. EDIT: Yeah, they rearranged and skipped quite a lot of stuff. Amaimon was supposed to appear when Mephisto and Rin went into Gehenna for example. |

| Oh yeah, it's a legendary comeback. Blue Exorcist, pumped up Yukio, Mephisto's pantyhose - we've been waiting for 6 years and we finally got it. Thanks to UVERworld for the new opening, it's really pleasing, sending us back to the past seasons with its motif and rhythm. |

| Feels like ages since that second season but good to have this back. I don't remember a lot from the first two seasons but one thing I do remember is how annoying some of these characters were, that twin brother of Rin specially, retard Yukio. Otherwise decent first episode with a mini arc of sorts. Big stuff should be coming soon. |

| Blue Exorcist is back after 6 years and I'll admit that in that time, I've forgotten most of what previously happened and didn't go back and rewatch. But, it's cool to see the familiar faces back in action. That was quite the trial Mephisto put them through, and I wonder what other shady plans he has in store. 🤔 |

| Been waiting for this new stuff and im kinda mixed. The art looks inferior to the previous seasons, i feel like the pacing is going god damn fast that i feel nothing, and can someone correct me, i thought it was known publicly that Mephisto was a demon, we just didnt know his true identity. All in all, kinda a mid start to this season. Ill see tho if it can wow me with the story. |

| Been way too long but good to see season 3 back. Opinions might have fallen a bit for me with the anime but this was still the very first seasonal I ever saw back in early 2017 with the Kyoto arc. Sadly, the art is on the iffy side (especially with Rin's character design throughout the episode) and the pacing is somewhat uneven and too fast. It was nice seeing Rin integrate more with the group here and hopefully the season can build to something more fun than the previous seasons since the series is still in somewhat its early stages despite the anime franchise existing for more than a decade comfortably. Shounen anime has changed quite a bit since I saw the show for the first time, but for nostalgia sake, don't mind this being back regardless of whether it is good or not. UVERworld too returning only helps with that nostalgia too. |

| I kind of forgotten that they go to a regular high school but I'm glad to see Rin making a friend. Godaiin knows Rin is a half-demon now but maybe he should still keep the whole spawn of Satan thing under wraps. Love how Konekomaru stepped up in this episode. Been a long time since the Kyoto arc and the manga looks like it will be in its final arc soon if not already. Finger crossed that the manga will end soon though. Lot of stuff is going to go down in the Illuminati arc so I'm afraid that 12 episodes might not to do it justice but we'll see. The character designs will need some getting used to but I like the design on Rin and Yukio's eyes. |
| My favorite Devil is back! 😍 When I saw the promo poster with the different art it looked weird but I adjusted to it when I watched the anime. It’s nice to see that this anime also has a special place in other people’s heart like it does for me. 💙 I like that Konekomaru spoke up and was honest about everyone’s flaws. I enjoyed seeing everyone working together as a team and that Rin can just stay in the sidelines so he can depend on everyone else more. Also I thought it was known to Rin that Mephistopheles was a demon? Guess not… |

| Wowww never thought I'd see another season of Blue Exorcist, I've said this for the second season and it happened again with a third season lol. A ~6-7 year gap for each new season, it'd be amusing if we get a fourth season in 2030. Anyways, pretty decent start despite not really understanding what was going on during the fight. I don't remember anything from the previous seasons but I'll just watch this out of pure nostalgia; just seeing Rin makes me happy, and I think he was one of my childhood anime crushes lol. Though hmm something looks off about Rin, I think his face is too wide and his eyes look too far apart? Kind of distracting. |

| Welp, after all these years I forgot most of the story by now (not a manga reader), but I'm rewatching the first two seasons - minus the filler ending in the first one. This episode looked pretty good, some elements are in CGI but nothing that ruined the whole experience, and seeing Rin with shorter hair is a bit weird but I'll get used to it I guess. I'm not expecting Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer animation but I hope I can still enjoy this adaptation. I'm happy to see these characters again.  |
| Ao no Exotcist feels one of the most forgotten shows of the past decade. Back when there was not as much competition in the battle shounen market it was rather big and now with most hype gone it's like shadow of it's former self. Although, I'm not big on it myself it would be cool for this have a little comeback. The openin by UVERworld is always as banger. If nothing else this franchise has a no miss streak of great songs. |

| I recently binged the two seasons in a day or three and it was an amusing ride. I've grown to like the main cast a lot and their interactions and personalities are fun. A pretty good start for the third season slowly telling us that something major is gonna happen. The animation is hopefully gonna be much better and the art style is kinda rough so far. |

| To be honest I expected some better animation too, especially after seeing PV. Is was HQ while zooming on eyes tho. xD As for the plot, events happened so quick one after another. I was lacking that usual smoothness between topics, like some monologue introduction, but I do really appreciate more this way of handling events than too long sequences that bring nothing into strory. : ) Overally liked it, waiting for more episodes. Didnt even know that I was actually waiting for anime continuation of this series until it happened. :) Maybe Rin will grow his hair a bit longer again. |

| Gotta say that the new artstyle is jarring but I'll can get used to it (though Rin's hair looks too short). My main problem with this episode was that the pacing was way too fast, which especially became noticeable when the voice actors were speaking faster than they were in the previous seasons. I think I even missed a key piece of info from Mephisto that I didn't even realise I missed until one of the next scenes brought it up because of the pacing. |

| I may have set my expectations too high for this adaptation. There were many scenes I was excited to see animated. The problem is they were very fast paced and also many scenes I wanted to see were skipped. (Like ) The animation changed, it's not bad, but it's different to what we've seen in the past few seasons. Might take some time for me to get used to it. It was a little bit underwhelming, but I'll continue watching. Maybe the more Illuminati Arc- centered episodes will be better. |

| I'm glad it's coming back as this was one of the first anime that I'd ever seen, so I have a huge soft spot for it. I was OBSESSED. I'm really happy we're gonna have another season of this, I thought it was a lost cause. However, the art is kind of all over the place... Like, the food and backgrounds look really great, but what's with their faces? Why do they keep changing style so much? One moment it looks like they did before and the next moment their faces fit weird within their skulls. It's weirding me out, but I'll get used to it. Probably.. |
