THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Love the action in the first 10min. The art and animation looks so good. Akane & Kougami talking in English was pretty fun to see. I could even understand a woman talking Vietnamese Kougami reuniting with Akane was awesome. Ginoza teaming up with Kougami ♥ Great osts (still give the feels of s1 & s2) in overall so much fanservice for the Psycho Pass fans :3 These scenes were for the real fans When season3 ?? :p |

Did anyone else love the plot of this as much as me? It felt like the true sequel to season 1 that it deserved. Although Season 2 was amazing I have to say this movie was really great considering how we got to see the effect of Sibyl System outside Japan as well as how countries without Sibyl Systems are and another plot relating to another way to circumvent the Sibyl System. The action scenes had so many details in visual it was very very well done. Might be rating it too high since I love Psycho Pass but I give this 10 due to it being stunning in every aspect: visual, story, characters, and Kogami. The guerilla leader dying without any importance was kinda meh but I guess I can't complain but I really liked how it was mentioned that Kogami has influence on everyone around him since it's very true after watching S1/S2/ and this movie. Ginoza getting his wanted punch in Kogami at the end was hilarious too lol. the last few seconds of movie on the black screen said: "The world of system will evolve---" And Akane saying: "Eventually, the system's evolution will be tested" I hope this means more Psycho Pass. PSCHYO PASS SEASON 3 WHEN? |

A very enjoyable movie I got to say,Kougami (and Makishima) carried the show for me so it was cool to have him back. Great production values and the action looked fantastic. Akane was as annoying as always for me though. Main problem was mainly the thin story that got dragged out way too long and it, once again, felt pointless by the end.But as a side-mission so to speak it was good.Better than s2 atleast. Do people really want a season 3,even after the crapfest that is season 2?Well if it's more like season 1 I wouldn't mind but I honestly don't see it happening. |

Man. The Engrish. >.< Wish they could re-dub it or something. The plot's awesome though. I love how they illustrated the world outside, emphasized Sybil System's influence (+ weakness) and Akane's strengths. A lot of throwback scenes to Season 1, and a (love?) triangle forming between Ginoza, Kougami and Akane. Surprised Kougami came out alive, and most of the Sybil conflict occurring outside Japan. Shimosaki Mika is basically a Sybil drone with a name. 0 development for her, as well as for most the enforcers. Also that ending, did that kid mistakenly killed Kougami? Or it's a metaphoric scene showing how Kougami won't return in the future (unlikely if he's alive)? Judging from the last line, there will be a season 3/second movie to wrap up the show. Looking forward to it. |

sometimes i cant even follow when they're speaking english, damn that engrish. well, the plot itself is very interesting, and that fateful encounter between Akane and Kogami really give me some goosebumps, really it's been a long time from the first season. Watching this movie feels like you are walking in a very long distance just to realize that what you look after is just around you, the same feeling as i watched previous Psycho-pass seasons. Ginoza, you've got the punch you wanted. |

Everyone's on the front line, even that shy guy. Some of their English is hard to understand for me, though Hanazawa-san's and HiroC's English are not bad. Nojima-san's character in long hair? That guy from the first season is somehow involved in a huge event while helping the group out with fighting back, which is resistant for the country we look into right now with HiroC's character working as the soldier. Past talk including the first season enemy. They are even in danger. Wow... when Japan took over. Changing of the leader solves it? |

Nothing really change much, sibyl stills continue. Enjoy the action scenes and art. They didn't involve the main story much because of the short time. The good news is that they're selling well in Japan, On the top of oricon's chart. Looking forward to SS3 (with the Urobuther even Mr. Ubukata did well on SS2 but it's not good as SS1) |

It was awesome, but hard to follow due to the lack of subs. I will wait patiently for some to be released because as far as the plot I had no clue what so ever was going on but it looked good and of course Kogami <3 . I would give this movie a 10/10 just for him. Then DAT ENGRISH, was amazing. But I am reallly hoping for season 3, I'm not satisfied what so ever. I need more, it can't end at this movie. |

Another nice Psycho Pass addition to my list. The story was pretty interesting. Some elements were expected, but that's normal for Akane and the viewers. The OST was quite noticeable and the animation was done well. |

Basically it's Vietnamese guerillas vs War criminals from last civil war. Kogami is on Viet side, though he got caught because of writer's stupid hostage plot ( yes he resisted a whole year yet a band of mercenary came raid the base and gameover in one night ), all for the sake of showing how overpowered the Sybil system is and get rescued by it at death's door. Not a single piece of romance in this one, Kogami runs around again baiting for another movie. There's only one thing worth remembering is Akane's ass. |

I liked this, especially the slightly darker side of this movie. Like how the people with the collars has a standing so low that they can be killed anytime they want. The action in this one was slightly different as it included the military police's ways of doing things and also the terrorist; large groups in combat has always been something I've enjoyed. The band of mercenaries, though was somewhat too overpowered to destroy an entire organization without a single casualty on their side. Idk why, but movies always has been good for the usage of sound, such as from being rather quiet to almost a deafening volume in a matter of seconds. I liked the ending quite a lot, to say at least. Saying how the whole world is in frantic as they have yet to take grasp on a firm system, yet the Sibyl System gave in to Akane's words means that there are there are still hope outside of the System. To make their own government through their own efforts, now I sort of want another sequel. As far as the story went, I would've loved it if it went more in-depth and be a lot more expansive about the civil war and the segregation that comes with it. It was nice to see Kogami again, with him being on a side against. Akane and Kogami were really in some dreadful situations. |

I had forgotten how badass Kougami was, he took on the merchandise ossan even while completely beat up and at that one point he was kicking the asses of the two merchandise minions *w* gotta love the guy. The movie wasn't as good as I hoped for, but because of Kougami I really liked it :P I hope for a season 3 or another movie, but only with Kougami... Haven't watched the 2nd season, but I instantly liked the red haired enforcer, so I might watch the parts with him, he cute, me likey :P |

Well that was interesting. Exporting the Sibyl system to different parts of the world. Akane and Kougami getting into some action. And of course Ginoza let Kougami escape in the end, besides, Ginoza can't just shoot Kougami if he had attempted to escape. I'm assuming that there will be third season to Psycho-Pass. |

Loved this! The hand to hand combat was nice and the soundtrack brings back amazing memories of watching season 1 as well. I hope there's another season and not just another movie. Oh and damn I wish Makishima was part of this!! (Actually) |

This movie is proof that Psycho-Pass is nothing without Kougami. The action and fight scenes are so good and the violence is top notch. If there will ever be a plan for a third season, I bet that it will be a whole new cast. The Kougami and akane story line is pretty much finished |

Dat Engrish throughout the movie was great, particularly Akane's. Couldn't help but laugh when she said "What?" in an attempt to sound serious when interrogating that criminal. KanaHana is great! Anyways, that was a decent watch. Nice seeing Kougami in action again after so long. Plot-wise, it was just OK, but the action choreography and the soundtracks were a major plus. Production I.G's production value was pretty high for this movie. Kitoge said: And of course Ginoza let Kougami escape in the end, besides, Ginoza can't just shoot Kougami if he had attempted to escape. The main reason Ginoza let Kougami go is because he's secretly tsundere for him. |

There's only one thing worth remembering is Akane's ass. not even as much as vietnamese, as many of the people in the camp and other guerillas were cambodian or thai it seemed, the movie seem to take a pick and mix approach to the culture and language of SEAun. considering its multicultural it makes sense to use english for the region but the did some amount of selective showing. the flag seems partly cambodian, the chairman chinese, the colonel singaporean base on his name, much vietnamese spoken(even though most of the action happened in cambodia) some non-viet language was also used(i think mostly because i think they werent viet). i think they did ok un tat respect though |

so who actually helped the guerillas get into Japan then as alluded? Was it the Sybil system? I guess the ending showed Sibyl still really is in control since the guy won the election. to the poster above, Kougami I don't think was shot. I think it was a foreboding that they can't throw away their guns yet which Kougami said they might be able to since the Chairman "resigned." So hope for a sequel of some sort might happen. so Sibyl uses Colonel Wong to help him remove the General and install himself as the guy pulling the strings, not realizing that once everything was established, there was no use for them and they'd be disposed of under the pretext of abusing Sibyl. damn Sibyl is smart and crafty. Sugou, Kunizuka, Hinakawa had literally no lines in this movie, a couple phrases in the beginning and a phrase at the end lol. I thought Makishima was unnecessary in this movie. Maybe to position Kougami as similar to Makishima in their isolation and opposition to Sibyl but the flashback and delusion Kougami had I thought was just oddly inserted to appease fans. Shion actually played a pretty important, active role in this movie compared to season 2 i thought. I'm actually like Shimotsuki better in this one. She actually is more competent and smart deducing that it was a plot by Sibyl. She's still a total asshole but a more competent, confident, arrogant one that actually has some brain when she helped rescue Akane. i'd totally tap Akane but then I'd probably get the Lethal Eliminator then....and the way Gino talked to Akane and Kougami, put it together and it sounds like he's telling Akane to forget Kougami, move on, telling Kougami to go away don't torment Akane, so he can put the moves on her! maybe I can ship Akane and Gino then, there's some potential there! and I really like the city design of Shamballa. I'd totally accept Sibyl if I got to live in a place like that. |

I actually enjoyed this a lot more than the show. Especially that god awful filler sequel. I found the whole Civil War scenario to be a lot more interesting than 'Oppressive neon drenched Cyberpunk land #0510' and I really liked the way they elaborated on the (Honestly pretty generic) themes from the series. The pacing drags a bit in some areas, the 'English' is hit and miss, it still has a hard on for western literature and at this point the series has basically devolved into something of a cash cow. But overall, I really enjoyed it. I give it an 8/10. |

Just finished it! It was okay. I loved season 1, and thought season 2 was garbage. This film was somewhere in the middle. Story 2/10 They almost straight up tell you what you just watched was pointless. However, the movie does a great job showing what happens when Sibyl goes into the wrong hands. However, the correction for the "that was pointless" actually gets clarified when Akane puts in her own thoughts and the catalyst for what occurred actually becomes more pointless. Characters 6/10 Only Tsunemori and Kogami matter. And a little bit of Ginoza and a teensy bit of Shion and Mika. The new black haired Kogami/Toganei replacement didn't even get a line of dialogue. Villain is laughably shallow. Sound 6/10 The music is what you've come to expect from Psycho Pass. Finale battle was great and on cue. HOWEVER, the Engrish was absurd. Can someone try to explain why they did this? It took place in Southeast Asia, so why did they use Engrish instead of another Asian language? Attack on Titan takes place in Europe, but they had the decency to use Japanese VA. Animation 9/10 It's what you're expecting. Beautiful landscapes. I wish there was some more FPS dedicated to the fighting sequences because it was a little choppy. Aside from that, it was incredibly badass and well-done. Enjoyment 7/10 They lay it on THICK in the first 20 or so minutes. Then it moves at a decent pace, especially with introduction of more enemies. However, after Mika's tidbit, my excitement was gone because she basically said everything was a waste of time. Overall 6/10 It's a decent entry into the series, but better writing would've helped immensely. And the goddawful Engrish... Side Notes: - Was this the first time they decided to show some Akane skin? - Makashima seemed a bit too fan-servicey, especially considering how hard they were hammering in our heads that him and Kogami were similar - My bilingual friends don't sound anywhere as butchered as these guys |

The Kougami-Ginoza co-op fight was pretty awesome, as well as Ginoza's punch after that. I really want someone to punch Shimotsuki now. Her face when they just came to SEAUn and explaining stuff to Akame was just... ugh!! Really enjoyed also how we finally got to see how the world was outside of Japan and Sibyl. |

I had two hopes for this movie. #1: Kougami returns (Triple Check) #2: More freaking character development for Mika Shimotsuki (Quadruple X) Seriously though, throughout the whole of the second season, I wanted Shimotsuki to become someone worthy of respect, she made progress(?) I think (It's debatable) But the end of the season left me just unsure how to feel about her. At the very least though, she doesn't seem to be b**ching about Tsunemori's orders anymore. She obviously still has different opinions on how one is supposed to act as an inspector, but so long as that's the extent of it, I can deal with that without hating her guts. |

This movie wasn't bad. Definately wouldn't make a great stand-alone movie. Watch order for the entire Psycho-Pass series would now be: Psycho-Pass S1 -> Movie -> Psycho-Pass S2 (Optional) It's great to see Kougami and Gino back, even if it was just for a few minutes. The Engrish can be a little wonky, but it shouldn't be a huge problem if you're watching the whole movie in subs. It's funny to hear what I think was Hiroshi Kamiya and Unshou Ishizuka speak in English. |

The movie was great, even if the plot wasn't of my taste. So happy Kougami and Akane got to meet again once more. A bit sad only Shion, Gino and Mika got a bit of spotlight apart from them though. That scene after the credits totally calls for a sequel. |

When they first mentioned about SEAun(South East Asia Union), I was hoping that Malaysia(my country) would show up! Unfortunately, Cambodia was featured in this movie instead, but hey! It's Okay! Pretty good, although I think it'd work better as a semi-independent side story, not a full on continuation of the main plot. I liked the visual aspect of the movie, great lighting, interesting shot composition, architecture is still one of the best things about Psycho Pass. Soundtrack was good, it was nice to hear some familiar tunes. There was a bit too much engrish, why don't they hire native english speaking people for characters that speak EXCLUSIVELY english (like the mercenaries) is beyond me. Still, it was better than most attempts I've seen. And most importantly, they made Mika a decent character! Even with the limited screen time, she seemed competent and confident, not annoying. |

The show was enjoyable but very disappointing. This should have been the second season. The second season was unworthy and should not have existed. This isn't really worthy of a movie... Seems like to me they are just milking it now. Movie would have been better if it was kougami's point of view This movie lacked build up, actual good antagonist (predictable the dude was gonna be the antagonist. No background story on him), a conclusion, a progress (since Sybil is still allowed to be derping around), among other things |

Oh my god, it was SO GOOD to hear Monster Without a Name again! God damn I missed that ending song! <3 While I didn't hate the 2nd season, this movie is what it should have been. Kougami back in full force, Akane continuing to be a badass, and more meaningful looks into the Sybil system and how it's handled. Action was great, story was solid, the animation was nice though not perfect, and the soundtrack definitely did it's job. Frankly the only problem I had was some of the voice acting. And I'm not talking about the bad "Engrish", but Japanese dialogue as well. Some of it in the first quarter of the movie felt really awkward for some reason. I dunno if it got better, or I just got used to it, but I didn't notice it once the meat of the story kicked in, so I'm not faulting it too much. 8/10 It's good to see Urobuchi back at the reigns of this series! |

AWESOME.. that was worth the wait I dare say, I got overwhelmed by it tbh, the op was so good but I like the ed more since it brings nostalgia along, well I didn't expect Nicolas to be one of the villains, and for him to meet such an end.. Ouch guess not all villains are Makishima after all, and yeah Makishima.. I literally teared as showed up omg as always every sentence he utters is a quote to be marked, I don't care if he was just an illusion, for him to appear even as a ghost is one of my most favorite thing about the movie, not to mention the Kougami x Akane moments *o* Ginoza too was awesome, and his encounter with Kougami was so overwhelming..and the idea of showing sibyl system in a foreign country was actually brilliant, as if sibyl was fair to begin with for it to be used the wrong way, and I love how Akane didn't let it have its way, a step forward to being just I guess.. |

I have to admit that was much better than I was expecting, especially the pre-Cambodian beginning, which was on par with PP1's best moments. Similar instances of superb direction coruscated throughout, and the overarching ideas/premise were well-grounded compared to the many absurdities in PP2. But I can't help but feel like the over-the-top action sequences in the second half detracted somewhat from its enjoyment. The comparatively shallow antagonist and a throw-away cast of mercenaries didn't help either. Still, a very entertaining ride. Bravo, I.G. |
