Damn, a new trial. Wasn't expecting this but the way they developed this episode...insane about the FUG. Khun and his team are lucky to have survived this tbh. On another note, at least the episode gave more insight about what FUG wanted. It seems Viole is going to have a prominent role this arc again. |

The Hand of Arlen's situation definitely has clouded the preceding of the Workshop Battle, and OG characters like Rak knowing of Khun's rumoured death, it has significantly changed the face of the game. Novick and Ran may have been trapped in the golem from Xiaxia and Viole's plan as FUG Slayer Candidates to enter the Workshop Battle, but knowing that Khun is still alive, Ran proposes a truce to join them both for the time being. As for Khun, him being saved by Wangnan and the others after they found Viole's Pocket attached to the former instead, he has no choice but to let them in on his plan. Wangnan and the gang following Khun to his private bunker, but finding Gyetang and Dan assassinated by FUG members, at least Dan is still alive, but he needs to be tended to immediately. With Khun knowing that Viole is Bam through Ryun the Guide who faked the latter's death and reincarnate him under a new alibi, it's understandable why he would be fuming over Bam being under a new name. At least Rachel didn't kill him completely, and that is the resurgence of Dan willing to fight together with Wangnan and the others in the Workshop Battle. This is going to be an intense Workshop Battle incoming... |

One of the best few episodes. We finally get our long-waited appearance of the whole Bam's old team! I'm glad Dan's still alive and I'm glad he didn't lose hope. Aside from waiting for Khun and Bam reunion, this is the first time ever this season had me screaming and super duper excited for the next episode!!! I mean yeah I'm the webtoon reader but I have the memory of a goldfish. I don't remember a single thing. I don't even remember they exchanged team for the Workshop Battle lol. But the tension, the build-up for what's coming next, I cannot waitttt!! I guess this season has 13 episodes? Since we only have one last panel left in the ending. Sure this season has so many downside, some disappointment, but as a fan, I'm still enjoying everything that I watched. Having only 1 episode left, I find this very upsetting πππ |

@tinker3bellz1 For better or worse, there's more than an episode left. It's a two cour season, so I would guess around 13 or 14 episodes are still coming. |

@Kronosyo Two cour means that another 13 or 14 episodes will be in separate release right? As in Season 2 Part 2? Man I have to wait for another who knows how long if it is π₯² |

And......we're done. Was it perfect? No but was it a lot of fun? Hell yeah! This has been such a nice return of a series I believe could be a mega hit if done right. So far it is on its way there. This was a lot of fun and we got to see a lot of character interaction and growth. WE also go to see a lot of characters from season 1. IF you don't see the major theme of this series as desire then you are missing out at this point as everything ties back to desire. |
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon. |

Damn the ending song Insert panel really out of sync since they started to mess up part of ther episode 10 with 11 and dont even bother to update lol. At lease we can now tell and confirm they do CUT and TRIM a lot of the animated scene in between to make up 13 episodes. Now I think the blame of dropping in quality should go to the planner. |

Episode 12 of Tower of God Season 2 delivers a thrilling mix of emotional depth, complex character development, and high-stakes action. This episode shifts gears, diving deep into the psychological and strategic layers of the story while maintaining the signature sense of mystery and suspense that defines the series. Plot & Pacing: The pacing of the episode is impeccable, expertly balancing moments of intense combat with quieter, introspective scenes that allow the characters' inner conflicts to take center stage. The story picks up where the previous episode left off, with Bam and his team facing an uphill battle. The stakes feel higher than ever as they navigate through treacherous challenges, and every decision feels weighted with consequences. The plot thickens, revealing more about the intricate hierarchy of the Tower, keeping viewers at the edge of their seats. Character Development: What stands out most in this episode is the remarkable growth of the characters. Bam continues to evolve, not just as a fighter but as a strategist and leader. His interactions with his allies show the weight of responsibility he carries and the toll it takes on his emotions. Meanwhile, Khun and Rak offer their unique strengths to the team, with Khun’s cunning intellect and Rak’s raw power playing crucial roles in the unfolding events. Side characters like Endorsi and Hatz also get moments to shine, adding layers of complexity to the group dynamic. Visuals & Animation: The animation in Episode 12 is breathtaking, with fight scenes choreographed to perfection. Every strike feels impactful, and the fluidity of the movements immerses viewers in the high-octane battles. The backgrounds are beautifully detailed, bringing the vast and enigmatic world of the Tower to life. The use of lighting and shadow adds an atmospheric tension, especially during pivotal moments where the characters confront both their external enemies and inner demons. Soundtrack & Voice Acting: The soundtrack elevates the drama, with sweeping orchestral pieces that underscore the tension and emotional stakes. The voice acting, as always, is top-notch, with each actor bringing their character's emotions to the forefront, especially in the more intense and intimate moments. Themes: Episode 12 continues to explore the central themes of ambition, loyalty, and the search for power. The show’s philosophical undertones become more apparent as Bam’s journey through the Tower mirrors a deeper internal struggle—one that questions the nature of friendship, sacrifice, and the moral costs of climbing higher. Final Thoughts: Tower of God Season 2, Episode 12 is a masterclass in storytelling, seamlessly blending action with meaningful character moments. It leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the next chapter, as the plot builds towards what promises to be an unforgettable climax. Fans of the series will be enthralled by the complexity of the plot, the growth of beloved characters, and the breathtaking animation that brings the world of the Tower to life. |

....The comment above is definitely a copy/paste of ChatGPT. It was actually a decent episode, most likely because it's a dialogue-focused episode and the pacing was good. The part with Khun putting his knife against Wangnan definitely looked funky though. Another Khun-centered POV episode is always welcome, and I'm happy to see Rak and the OG team again. Though I am a bit annoyed that the best animation in this episode seemed to be of Paracule flailing about. That's just...ridiculously sad. Well, looking forward to seeing what schemes Khun is going to cook up with his new team for the upcoming Workshop Battle arc. |

This entire season sucked, a complete let down of a show that could have been promising. Bad animation, storytelling, direction, character relations/motives etc etc... we've all heard this before. I should have just dropped the show after the first episode. This isn't even watchable on 2x speed. |

I enjoyed this one quite a bit, the Khun focus is definitely a big part of that along with the plot developments, but the lack of not so great fight scenes is also a plus. And I will also say the appearance of Bam’s original team automatically put me in a better mood, got that good ol’ season 1 nostalgia seeing them again, Rak especially got me hyped, Paracule not so much but his goofy ass is fun at least lol. But back to the situation with Viole, wasn’t expecting him to team up with Khun’s teammates but if it’s to keep them alive then I guess it’s the best outcome. And although the news says otherwise, Khun did survive the explosion and is now with Viole’s team, guess we’ll be seeing a lot more Khun from here on out. And I guess there was a reason we couldn’t see any stab wounds on Dan in the previous episode, turns out Rachel stabbed him in the legs and he’s still alive, now I feel bad for thinking it was a lack of detail lol, but I’m happy Dan is alive, he paid for his remark to Rachel with his legs but he’s still here at least, and looks like Rachel’s dirty deed ended up inspiring him instead of putting him down, very nice to see. And we finally got a name for the eyepatch red haired babe now, being Ryun, and apparently what’s happened with Viole is out of even her control now, everyone is getting betrayed I guess lol, but thanks to her we now have Khun teaming up with Wangnan and the rest of Viole’s team going into the Workshop Battle, I’m happy to say they got me excited for what’s to come, but of course I won’t get my hopes up too much giving how this season has been so far. And I’m guessing since there is still one more part of the ED not revealed, we have one more episode with this OP and ED before the 2nd cour, they’re bangers for sure so I don’t mind having them just one last time. |

Like do people have absolutely no standards or are they so extremely low that they will watch anything and call it great as long as it's in anime format? I remember one guy was trying to glaze this season back in the first couple of episodes while saying that it didn't matter how shit the animation is, it's still really good as long as it continues the story ;d After another like 3 episodes dude changed his mind completely and decided that there is no point in lying to himself to defend this thing and agreed that it's actually a massive disappointment to the fans. |

When the studio doesn't have to animate a fight and takes its time with the episode it can actually turn out decent... Khun needs to take this into his own hands, hack into the studio with his lightcube and start carrying this sht on-screen and off-screen cuz there ain't no way the Workshop Battle can be good if the animation is absolutely cheeks. If they mess up the arc with probably the least battle, how are they gonna manage the literal tournament arc. On a more positive note, the OP/ED still slap, and its one of the times where I never skip the ED because it's too much of a feels-good watch remembering all the peak moments from the manhwa. |

Man FUG is so annoying, still a great name though. I was about to say "why is it such a big deal for Yoru to obey them if in the end they kill Khun anyway, they should team up and just struggle" but I guess it's not easy, they are stronger than them. So the solution of the red hair lady is the only way out of this, for them to prove to be a good team for Yoru, win this thing, and then get stronger and eventually be like "fuck off FUG, I'm strong enough that you can't tell me what to do now". That's why they can't talk Mazino into killing Jahad probably, cause he won't take orders from them, they wanted an Irregular egg and raise him themselves. No clue why they would aid Rachel, maybe cause they know it's his weakness and she's easy to control? Like others said, this ep was better but still not changing that this season is mediocre. It's not just the fact that the story this arc is sort of meh, it's the fact season 1's biggest feature was the animation and great soundtrack, now the soundtrack is still here I guess but the animation is so bad and the story didn't get better, which was already pretty bland (sure it gets better in a hundred chapters, I've heard this before ToG fans, I don't really care about that right now though!). Also the Khun monologue was cringe, all of that to conclude what he already came up with last episode, it's not rocket science, stop making it like you are thinking about a math problem, you are suppose to be super smart. Nice to see Rak! Ok you know what, I'm also talking about it as well, two things I really don't like, besides the bad animation and the not so great story arcs in this sequel, stuff that was also in season 1: The confusing and unoriginal power system and the annoying characters. The power system is crazy I'm sure, so much lore, but I don't really like it that much, it probably is just a flaw in the exposition, or it's really like this and it's just stupid, but I can't take it seriously how they are all throwing rays and shit but there's only one wave user which I thought was the only mystical power. That's why I love Rak, bro just swings a fucking Spear, that's simple and great! Then we have Endorsi and Anaak fighting and she starts using Shinsui like it's a thing everyone uses now (even though I thought you needed a contract to use it) so it boosts your power, that's fine I guess, nothing new honestly, but then each guy has their own weird powers, like Yeon girl has flames, why? Ran, I love Ran, maybe cause he's essentially lazy Killua, but that's what I mean, he uses Lightning, and all this time I'm like "whatever it's probably powered by Shinsui" I think, and then the dude next to him is like "A WAVE USER" so you are telling me all the shit they used till now wasn't shinsui??. Look I'm not ranting just to get some ToG geek try to explain me the power system, just saying that it's either unoriginal and confusing or unoriginal and badly explained in the show. Now the characters, ok everyone can have some supernatural powers, others like Khun just use a knife, or like the blond mc, use pokeball bombs I guess, surely it's great that most people have random powers and then some don't but, this is just something I thought all the time and finally read someone say it a week ago, WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE WEAK CHARACTERS, they are just annoying, I hated Shibisu but at least he was sort of funny, sword dude was also useless but still cool looking at least. Now normally you don't really need everyone to be a fighter...but maybe you do if they are climbing the tower. Like the cast of characters for Yoru's new group feels like such a downgrade (I hate the scenes where they all chill and make fun of the burned food for the 10th time, this is also something I read someone said and it made me feel like I wasn't insane for thinking it was so boring). The lady with the glasses I have a theory so I don't mind her being her but...and ACTUAL child, with no power what so ever, in a world full of people throwing rays and shit, just feels so pointless |

The lady with the glasses I have a theory so I don't mind her being her but...and ACTUAL child, with no power what so ever, in a world full of people throwing rays and shit, just feels so pointless
Look I'm not ranting just to get some ToG geek try to explain me the power system, just saying that it's either unoriginal and confusing or unoriginal and badly explained in the show. It is really the fault of bad adaptation and lack of explanations, so I don't blame you. The power system in ToG might not be as complicated and batshit insane creative as in HxH, but it is at least quite self-consistent and tied into the world. Shinsu is somewhat like Nen, but not quite. While Nen is something innate to the users (i.e. their life force), the Shinsu is something that users just borrow from the outside environment (i.e. "mana"). Nobody inside the Tower can use Shinsu by themselves, only if they are assisted by the Floor's Guardian\Administrator. The Irregulars being the exception of course. Once you are allowed to use it, you are still limited by your skill\talent in terms of actual capacity of Shinsu you can manipulate, as well as techniques etc. The difference to Nen here is also that it depends on natural\environmental conditions - some areas have very little Shinsu concentrations and you can't do much with it (outer areas of the Tower), some have larger than average (the closer to the center and the higher - the better), and some areas have natural Shinsu concentrations that are outright lethal to most beings. Another difference to Nen is that Shinsu also acts as a material substance, so in the areas with progressively denser Shinsu it is becoming harder to even move (in the upper floors Shinsu in the air has the density of water and a pressure like at very high depths at that). Other than that, the standard Shinsu techniques are very straightforward, and simpler than in HxH. The most basic technique is a Body Reinforcement (think: Ren), which protect from physical\Shinsu damage (very important), amplify muscles, to physically attack, or even to keep yourself alive through grave injuries. Everybody in the (Inner) Tower has to learn Body Reinforcement regardless of the role, otherwise you won't last long. Other techniques physically manipulate Shinsu in one way or another, be it through some material element (water, ice, lightning, fire), making physical items through Shinsu, or directly manipulating flow of Shinsu in the area (like make Shinsu move out of some area completely, making people there physically suffocate and die). There are other more complicated techniques such as Anima ("monster taming\summoning") but we'll leave it at that. Any physical weapons in ToG are either directly made of Shinsu, or have to be physically reinforced by it, otherwise they are useless. Because of high density, most of the weapons tend to be of a piercing type, because it is getting very hard to swing something in high density Shinsu even if you are very strong. Swords aren't very popular at higher floors for example, and rapier-like needles are preferred instead. Spears are used for the same reason. Spears are also more like guns, because they are used with Shinsu to either project themselves (spears that Rak use), or to concentrate Shinsu in the target direction (spears that Ran uses, and that are popular in Khun Family). Finally, most of the stuff in ToG was originally named\themed for the sea \ marine life and activities. Much was lost in translation even in the Webtoon\Manhwa. Shinsu is water, the Tower is an ocean. "Monsters" in the Tower are fishes or other marine life (literally Shinheuh, "Divine Sea Animal"). Main positions include Fisherman (literally trained to use a fishing rod like weapon to catch\manipulate objects), Lighthouse Bearer, Spear Bearer (as in spearfishing), Wave Controller (directly controlling flow of water\Shinsu). Its true that later on it gets somewhat pushed aside with lazor rays and big firebolts thrown around, but I'd say the author kind of gets back to that in later chapters, with new abilities again looking more like water\marine based, at least in part. Kismet69 said: ow the characters, ok everyone can have some supernatural powers, others like Khun just use a knife, or like the blond mc, use pokeball bombs I guess, surely it's great that most people have random powers and then some don't but, this is just something I thought all the time and finally read someone say it a week ago, WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE WEAK CHARACTERS, they are just annoying, I hated Shibisu but at least he was sort of funny, sword dude was also useless but still cool looking at least. Some characters develop, most fall off due to insane powercreep when the plot starts to revolve around Rankers\High Rankers. Some just disappear without a trace (YY we still remember you girl). But the actual point of the ToG is that its a big world and most of normal people are just that - normal - nothing to really excel at and so they can't compete eventually - and fall off or die. On the other hand, strength alone isn't a key for success while climbing the Tower, if you have intelligence or social skills. Characters like Shibisu or even Hwa Ryun are super weak compared to most of the characters, especially later on - but they still succeed and defeat much stronger foes because of their wits or social connections. The weak child Miseng actually has one of the best character developments in the series, although she also has no chance to powercreep pace. |

Well that one is on me honestly. I do appreciate the power exposition, I really missed the whole sea theme, the administrators are fish, there are so many fish, the fishmen, the wave controllers. Not sure why the HxH comparison, I haven't even watched the show but ok. But yeah, maybe if it was better animated I would have enjoyed it more, i know I wanted better scenes for Mazino and Ran but that's just something everyone says so no point in nitpicking about that. The characters rant I did was a little silly I guess, strong character good weak characters bad is such a stupid argument, that was just some one sided opinion of mine. But yeah I really don't care about those characters, if it were for me I'd hope they died (yet they won't but they did kill off that character that was friends with Wangnan...why ;-; WHY AREN'T THEM IN THE TEAM INSTEAD). But yeah I did liked ep 12 now and I am excited for a season 3, unless the whole fight is done next episode somehow? Also I love Hwa Ryun, I thought she was really strong though, I really want to see more of her |

I'm more baffled by it being still pretty highly rated, this season is barely a 5 at most and that's being generous.
@GTRaijin Well, people are still here for the story and it's not in the least boring (only quite hard to understand I guess). Despite the animation and disappointment, there are people that still find this enjoyable and that's what their rating is based on I guess. Enjoyment |

Well Dan is actually still alive so that's good I guess. Apparently Rachel can't finish the job as both Dan and Bam survived although, according to Dan, she let him live so that he could see how it is to live without usable legs. So with Khun joining forces to take on the Workshop Battle, does that mean he will fight with both Bam's current and old teammates? I wasn't too clear on that part since Bam's old teammates are still around like Rak, Endorsi, etc. |

@Alfredo-Sauce Khun will be leading the Sweet&Sour team (Bam's current teammates) into the Workshop Battle. They will have to not only fight Bam and his FUG team (and other teams), but also Bam's old team (currently led by Shibisu) - as they don't know anything, and if they do it might put them all in danger. |

A decent dialogue-focused episode. It's interesting how Khun ended up with Baam's teammates and Baam with Khun's, and now they'll be rivals in the factory showdown. At least Khun now knows that Viole is actually Baam and that Baam is forced to work for FUG to protect him, his old teammates, and his new teammates. Dan is still alive, which is good, but he'll probably end up in a wheelchair. Still, that won't stop him from showing Rachel that she can move on. Speaking of Rachel, boy, boy, Rachel is such a bitch, she deserves all the bad things that are going to happen to her but, I don't hate her. I actually find her pathetic, like a psychotic little girl who won't stop complaining about how unfair life is and takes it out on everyone around her. I'm not saying she's a bad villain or a bad character, it's just that I can't really hate someone so absolutely pitiful, pathetic, and insecure in every way. Ok, I got that off my chest. |

Happy to see sweet and sour teaming up with Kun. I'm a fan of the webtoon so I've been looking forward to this getting animated for some time. Like many others I'm sad to see that the animation is just not very good but at least the story is... well as excellent as the webtoon. |

The last two episode (11 & 12) has made me curious for the upcoming episode but as soon as animation comes in mind, I don't wanna watch it as it's butchering the anime with it's average animation that too with some weird angles that sometimes make me feel wtf is happening. The wound are also not shown don't know why. This anime should have got animation same as Wistoria: wand and sword. The storytelling is kinda average. The anime has best bgm, ost and op & ed. Hope they improve the animation. |

Khun is the best character, hands down. I love that little scene of him being dad about Dan's legs, that was a nice touch. And I'm happy that Dan is alive, now we have 2 guys wanting revenge on the bitch. The fact Bam and Khun literally exchanged teammates was unexpected, and sick. This is building up to something great! I also love how this time the ending was a total recap of the entire season so far. AND I ADORE THAT WE GOT TO SEE OUR CROCK BOI RAK AGAIN, EVEN IF FOR JUST A MOMENT ππ |

A lot of familiar faces in this episode. The truth is out now at least for Khun, the PLOT THICKENS!! They really give us more Reason to hate on that Bitch Rachel. Now into the second cour, they bringing back Stray Kids for OP and ED, which is a good sign but let's hoping for an improvement in the Animation part. |
