Hmm, it seems Irene is actually quite important this season and the length that Sherlock is going to protect her is something else.

Irene is one of those characters that is hard to trust tbh. But for someone like Sherlock, he seems prepared to take any measures this arc. Quite a thrilling episode imo.

Hmm an arrangement between Moriarty and Sherlock to protect Irene's life.
I loved that part about the french revolution, so Robespierre = Holmes' ancestor... wut xD
And now it's time for Irene Adler to get a new life... she's James Bond now? xD

The Final Act of the British Empire's scandal, and going out with a bang.

At this point, trusting Irene Adler is a no-go despite all the riff-raff against Sherlock, who wants to protect and keep her alive. As usual, Albert, the eldest of the 3 Moriarty brothers, finds himself playing the chessboard as the "Lord of Crimes" player to deride this entire fiasco, and Sherlock is but a chesspiece in the concise plan.

The history of the French Revolution that created the stain on Britain's part, and the patriotic act of Maximilien Robespierre...the Moriarty brothers have shown themselves to Mycroft, and what a suspense of a struck deal between both parties.

What an intense ride that ends in tragedy for Sherlock and Watson...the "death" of Irene Adler on Mycroft's behalf, and under a new name: the female James Bond.

Quite the thrilling act this was.

I already looking forward to the next episode, where I can see Sebastian Moran almost naked, he kinda look like Tetsurō Kuroo from Haikyu that's why I like him, since I don't expect to see Kuroo naked in Haikyu LOL

And on top of that, Inspector Lestrade will be back! Too bad we won't see Mycroft Holmes for a while, or from now on, but Inspector Lestrade should be enough to sate my thirst.

And Irene joins the crew. As James Bonde. Seriously.....lololllll

What an elaborate deal between not only Sherlock & them, but Mycroft too. Sherly seems to be getting played left right front & back but I have a feeling he’s not entirely in the dark about things. This madman always has a few tricks up his sleeves. Loved it when he burnt the envelope.

Yes......the Moran fanservice is what I’m looking forward to ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Damnnn the 4D chess was crazy this episode. Sherlock interrupting the trade between Irene and Moriarty only to get exposed for having a fake police Sqaud outside lol. Then Irene faking her death and joining the revolutionaries. Really intense episode . That closing scene “Bonde, James Bonde” gave me goosebumps

In the books and various adaptions, that has never happened to my knowledge. The James Bond thing is ridiculous lmfao. I also don't think Irene ever worked with Moriarty AFTER escaping the government. I think she may have worked with Moriarty to obtain the document or in some other form prior to meeting Sherlock in BBC's Sherlock. This should be interesting, I hope that it's done well.

I forgot that John and Mycroft had already met. I wish they hadn't. Mycroft was really mysterious in the books, and I kind of like that.

I can't tell if they're going for a romantic mood between Sherlock and Irene. It feels like they're trying that, but I don't feel anything. I hope it stays the same way as it does in the books, and Sherlock just feels utter respect for her. It's so rare to see a man respect a woman and not have any romantic feelings for her.

I liked the reference to the book they made when Irene, dressed as a man, met Sherlock before he was about to enter his flat.

Irene is James Bonde. lol. That was so random! Isn't the character from a different century?

Irene cut her hair, Mulan style. I wish she was a guy cuz she makes a really hot guy.

Great episode! The exchange of the document was pretty intense, glad it was resolved peacefully. I was thinking, "Noooooo" when Sherlock burned the paper with Moriarty's name on it. It's obvious why, but man, was that really necessary Sherlock? xDD Not sure how to feel about the James Bond thing, I got spoiled on it but it was still out of left field lmao. It's interesting how she's working for Moriarty now, I'm interested in seeing how this story will develop with this new addition.

Weak finale to this 3-episodes plot. But I guess it had to come like this. Otherwise we wouldn't have had more plot. So they had to make it that Holmes would burn the letter with the Moriaty name.

The "Bondo, James Bondo" was funny lol.

Mycroft and John met in different ways in different media, in this anime, John opened the door and Mycroft stood outside, pointing out the weight John gathered xD And in the BBC series, if I recall it right, Mycroft was the one who called John and arranged a meeting of some sorts. Don't recall what happened in the movies with RDJ, but they met somehow.

Great episode, ton of interesting developments and history here.

Very interesting backstory on how the French Revolution was supposed to have happened in this Universe.

Sounds like they are going for a martyr style ending, I guess the closest comparison I can make is Code Geass. Curious to see how it'll play out.
Did not expect the Irene becoming James Bond thing at all, but had a good chuckle when she said it. xD

Lmao James Bond. Now that is a meme of a name. Can't say I ever thought I'd hear that name in anime. Anyway looks like team Moriarty got a lot more power through this arc. They gonna have a lot more freedom with Mycroft off their backs. Also I like how Sherlock burned the envelope. I'm sure he knew Irene wasn't actually dead. Especially when she spoke to him in passing as he was entering his home.

That little twist at the end was I suppose a bit tongue in cheek, but was totally unnecessary IMO. It distracts from the plot and general story line.

So Irene is now working for Moriaty and Mycroft will not interfere with them, leaving Sherlock as the only one that can stop them. Not gonna lie though, Irene changing her name to James Bond was corny as hell. It was too forced and broke my immersion with how ridiculous it is.

This was probably the best ep of the anime so far with the unexpected reveal of the Moriarty brother's true goal (if they're telling the truth) and exposing their identities to Mycroft.

I love the original idea of the anime of Irene becoming a man in order to protect herself and join the brothers too - that is retelling done right.

So, the French Revolution was the doing of the British empire, through Maximilien Robespierre, who was the ancestor of the Holmes.....???

So Irene Adler now works for them Moriaty's as James Bond....sheees , lame...

I'm not liking as to where this ep has gone, cu'z either them Moriaty's have the upper hand to which Sherlock becomes the fool or Sherlock may have something in his sleeves that them Moriaty's do not know about.

I will ignore the name choice at the end since many people already commented on it, but I loved this episode. To think that the Lord of Crime would ever reveal his identity in the first place, but to Mycroft out of all people? Bold move and I like it. William calculating and predicting every move of everyone is really fun to watch. I wonder though if Mycroft announced Irene's death as part of the plan or to set up a trap for the Moriarty's. Although Sherlock did not buy it, I'm a little hung up on that detail. I feel like it's unlikely, but I hope the Moriarty's are not serious about going down as the scapegoat, I wouldn't like that ending. I want the villains/antagonists to win for once lol.

Mycroft just going along with the moriarty bois using crime as the means to the end seems like a bit of a stretch tbh. Also they just revealed their whole plan to mycroft?! Hopefully this means that there's actually more to the plan? Otherwise they basically just ruined the whole story that's canon in the books of moriarty dying in the end. but otherwise this was a decent episode, can't wait to see what irene - I mean JAMES BONDE - does the rest of the season.

Okay, that last bit was seriously not needed. Only downside of the episode, from my point of view as well.

Mind games at its best here, even Mycroft is indirectly in on this plan-in-the-making. First instance certainly worked out in the story and I'm really curious to see how the "Lord of Crime" will succeed with the second instance.

To be honest, I had a feeling this was the plan all along from the Moriaty's (not hard to decipher this, in the first place) but it's good to have confirmation and a reference to boot. Holmes' generation being involved directly in the Revolution and its aftermath was definitely a surprise though.

Sherlock's struggle in the first half there was kind of tough to watch. James Moriaty is just too good and it's always fascinating to see the unravelling pf the schemes. As such, hoping for the same in the next arc and more!
