Really? Are there memes? I have seen some memes from old anime and manga, but nothing from Ganbare, Nakamura-kun. I get what you mean regarding the color palette, and while I love that they keep the manga designs very accurate I still get your point. Let's see what happens afterward. Sometimes these changes make a good anime; I mean, to be honest, the manga designs of Sailor Moon, and the sober colors, made the story look quite dull. Ranma 1/2, on another hand, changed the style and color palette a bit during its remake, and I honestly liked it since I now feel the first anime did something weird with the hairstyles that made the characters look like they had big heads. Hence, maybe Nakamura's changes won´t be a bad decision.
NSFW? That is quite a thing; what inspired you to go into that road?
It wasn´t my cup of tea, to be honest; I mean, that was my initial impression after watching like 5 episodes, especially the first episode where Aina/Cakey debuted; I absolutely hated the way that team treated her, and I wish he faced some repercussion since he was a huge bully.
The final episode was gold, but like absolute gold, especially the car scene between Aina and Iori with the policeman. I don´t think it will ever be my favorite anime, but I will definitely watch the second season.
There were some members from team Sweet and Sour that I liked, but Wangnan wasn´t one of them; he was so damn annoying, and I hate how loud his voice was in comparison with the weakness of his repertoire. I am glad he is not appearing in the Manhwa, which the third season finally ended; I must say, I cannot believe how hard the story dropped during the middle, but those final chapters were absolutely redeeming. I am still in shock waiting for the fourth season of the Manhwa.
I honestly enjoyed the anime adaptation, the designs were cute and each character had a lot of development; I personally love the opening song. If I am not wrong, it aired during the Summer 2024 season, which was honestly a really weak anime season.
Thanks a lot for your kind wishes; I honestly didn´t enter 2025 with anything in mind. I mean, I had huge expectations for 2024 and I spent half of the year sick, I even found an allergy I didn´t know I had during the final days of December hahaha. I hope you can find a kind boyfriend this year :)
So, what kind of BL art do you consider to be good? Show me some examples.
It's the opposite for me. I can tolerate Right extremists, but not the ones on the Left. I suppose that's because sympathizing with Maoists and jehadis is a bigger problem here in my country, than racism or hyper-nationalism.
As for Good BL art, try her works

OR for that matter, even the manga Black Butler. The art in the earlier chapters is questionable, but by GOD does it get prettier as her art matures.
I am not going to lie, the design of Yoshiki looked a bit odd to me, but after rewatching the trailer I think it was the angle. I am honestly so excited that each year there are more new BL anime series receiving an adaptation; in 2024 there was one BL per season, and there are three announced for 2025!
Never in my wildest dreams I thought that Ganbare! Nakamura-kun! would receive an anime, and it makes me hope that more not-so-known manga names will be adapted as well.
I just suck with social media, and I am honestly not active on any platform, to be honest; in Facebook, I am mostly in Marketplace looking for stuff that I may like and watching memes, while on Instagram I mostly save pictures of anime, manga, cats, dinosaurs, or historical facts that called my attention, that and also to comment on stories and like posts when I am happy drunk hahaha.
Honestly, during June I think I had enough, collapsed maybe, and didn´t watch anything that wasn´t seasonal; just recently I finished Bucchigiri which was one of the worst anime I have ever seen; MAPPA fell really low with that show. Bucchigiri has to be one of the few anime that is only good when its main character is not present; Tomoshibi Arajin was the worst MC ever.
I am currently watching Grand Blue because I noticed it was quite popular back in the day, its manga is also very popular, but it hasn´t been that good.
I personally liked the second season's art, and I think I am one of the few fans of the Manhwa who haven´t had an issue with it. Still, I don´t know what happened, but I couldn´t click with the story. Season 2 made me remember how much I dislike Wangnan. I cannot understand why I couldn´t like the Workshop Battle arc, which was my favorite arc from ToG. I don´t think there will be more seasons after this one, but it was a so-so time.
By the way, did you watch the adaptation of Senpai wa Otokonoko?
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year; I hope 2025 brings you as much happiness as possible alongside your loved ones.
I have no idea about this alliance. I was simply talking off the videos of lesbians and gays who were angry at transpeople for hijacking the LGBT+ movement. Yes, the definition of trans differs from person to person. Some characterize it as a mental illness, others say people who have transitioned are called trans, some say people who are thinking of transitioning are also included as trans, while most of the Left agrees that people who identify as another gender (but will make no effort to transition, aka cross dressing) are also considered trans. It's the last definition that has the most non-Lefties riled up.
You're right about Left and Right extremists being the same, but sadly, only the ones on right Right are crucified. The Left ferociously protects its own extremists, and shames everybody who points out the truth, including their own people.
Hahaha, don´t worry about it; take your time to reply if you want, or maybe we can start from zero. I recently saw the visuals and the trailer from The Summer Hikaru Died, and it is looking quite great. I hope it is as faithful of an adaptation as possible.
Sorry, I don´t use Discord; I found it a bit complex and I am a bit too lazy to learn hahaha.
Are you watching something from the Fall 2024? This season has been better than the Summer 2024.
Yeah, I think this entire pronoun fiasco is just overhyped. If people respect you, that's what matters. There are people at my office who address me as "sir" simply bc it's a force of habit for them. Do I get offended that they "mispronounced" me? No. they respect me and do whatever job I give them to do. Labels don't matter much.
Depends on your definition of trans, then. I've found out that even within the LGBT group, there is no single definition of the word "trans", and more and more LGB people are speaking up against how flexible the word "trans" has become.
No. I don't think you did. I think someone else told me this a few months ago, and seeing how we weren't even talking then, I don't think it was you. It does make sense, though. Sucks, seeing how I am not attracted to women sexually, no matter how hard I try ;p
I agree. This younger generation of children is so needy. They need validation for everything and get offended whenever someone disagrees with them over the simplest of things. I'd like things to go back to when it was just the LGBT, without any alphabet soup in it. No, I do not want to address you as ze/zir. No, I do not think you're a wolf living in a human's body. No, I do not believe you feel like a girl at 11 am but a boy at 2 pm, and then non-binary at 5pm.
I believe most BL mangaka have never met gay men in their lives. Their stories are attempts of what they think gay men talk and behave like. However, I do feel you're talking about older BL. Most modern BL treats gay men as men, but since the primary plot point is romance, the focus is always on them finding/loving another gay man. IDK who said it but I do believe the average human's sexuality is bisexuality. However, internalized homophobia is so prevalent among men that most just live in denial about their attraction towards other men.
Yeah, I myself am not fond of the 100s of nicknames any specific community decides to give its members based on their physical appearance. I'm guessing its most prominent in the gay and lesbian circles. Oh, but also those hundreds of genders and pronouns.
Yeah, it's kinda stupid, seeing as you're all just human beings at the end of the day.
I also think it's interesting how many BLs focus on the gay dude (usually the uke) falling for the straight guy, who, instead of rejecting him or being disgusted, magically becomes gay just for this special little uke. I think the straight guys exist because of several factors - gay-straight couple fantasy, most guys in this world are straight, the het dude brings out the gay dude's internal dilemma and tensions between the 2 MLs, which is often what many romance BLs focus on anyway.
Have you checked out this mangaka's other works as well?

I like how she strays away from regular BL tropes and creates stories and characters in very unique situations.
I read Asterisk in 2019 and I rated it a 7. I really don't even remember reading it, honestly. It happens when you've read as many manga as I have.
