| Kittan, just like many other in the gang, went out heroically. However the way Gainax executed his death was indescribably sublime. I've got shiver down my spine whenever i see him went out, the King Kittan slowly fade out and the man laughed in enjoyment, being finally able to awake his Spiral power. To me he's just a regular man in a team, trying to do his best to make a contribution, to make a name for himself. There was an episode he kept running around to find Simon since he was imprisoned, didn't work out well since Yoko beat him for itt. He really wanted to be something, wanted to be an important part of the team, since Kamina, Yoko, Simon and even Nia outdo him in every aspect, which is why he always try hard for the gang. And this episode gives him the best performance ever, his last wish, his final and probably one of the most vital contribution to the team. RIP Kittan, despite being a supporting character he'll always remind me that it's important to pay attention to everyone in the team, not just the big boss XD. |
| *Clap, clap, clap * Now I know why they were skimping out on the goods at the start. What a turnaround. Well deserved hype, well deserved. I raised in a previous forum about the uselessness of the pig mole. Gainax sure showed me. They say that the pig mole absorbed Simon's spiral power by presence after mutating or that it was a creature with spiral power... I wonder, even if Simon and Kamina were exceptional beings, was Boota responsible for unleashing Simon and Kamina's power instead when they ate his tail? This is an excellent example of where shounen shines, when backed up by interesting sci fi yarns here and there give an explanatory base structure to the spiral power. |

| I know the term epicness is overused these days, however, in this episode it was fucking real. Wanted to nominate Boota for the MVP, unfortunately for him Kittan took the spotlight. I got the feeling that he wouldn't make it out alive of this arc,that didn't make his last moments less impactful, though. And regarding the kiss with Yoko, I noticed he was starring at her more than usual during the last episodes, but this time he did it. Which ultimately raised the death flag. The conclusion is, kissing her should be better avoided.. |

| They quickly made sense of the sea in space with a plausible explanation of it being dense converted energy and it's impressive. Boota having so much Spiral Energy pent up was funny. The Yoko x Kittan ship was building up so nicely in this episode that it crossed my mind that Kittan will be facing a tragic fate since that was how Kamina ended up after being with Yoko. Reading about Yoko's name standing for You Only Kiss Once made me giggle and feel bad. By giving one last King Giga Drill Break and going out in the most glorious blaze of glory, he has given the team an enormous amount of energy and the saddest death in the show. The classical + hip-hop hybrid music amplified the intensity and feels. As the Super Dreadnought Galaxy Gurren Lagann started its transformation, I was desperately struggling to hold in mixed feelings. All I can say now is "Kick those Anti-Spiral asses!" |

| Well, Kittan's death was on the level of Kamina's in terms of sadness, but his last moments were very touching and cool, too. I was right thinking that "saying goodbye to family members" foreshadowed death. We still have Dayakka though. I hope Yoko won't kiss Simon before his last mission :/ |

| I expected Yoko x Kittan, considering the premise and the fact that his was similar to Kamina. I hoped for that kiss but it was so sudden that it hadn't the same impact for me compared to the one with Kamina. RIP Kittan, his death was sad but it was epic enough to lessen a bit the sadness. |

| Kittan's death is one of the best ones so far, mainly because he died as a GOAT. Went to Yoko and straight up kissed her. Sadly, she's the one that's left behind with a broken heart and his is completely shattered. Anyway, it's time for the FINAl final FINAL battle. |
