| Welcome to Japan, Miss Elf!" looks like a delicious bento box of cozy vibes and gourmet goodness. our sliver elf protagonist getting whisked away from her magical fantasy realm to modern Japan. I love seeing her stumbling upon Japanese food and squealing over riding in a car, ebi fry, ramen onigiri, and embracing her new adventures like she was born to belt out in Japan . It's a reverse isekai with a dash of culinary tourism—what's not to love? 🍣✨ So the dear elf is basically gonna be living her best life freeloading, and indulging in all the fun, food, and frivolous adventures Japan has to offer. She’s like, “Magic? Who needs it when you have sushi, ramen and arcades?” It's gonna be a delightful slice of life anime that’s perfect for anyone needing a break from reality and a good laugh. |
| The trailers looked decent enough even though Marie looked quite a bit off, however after watching this first episode I've gotta say, Zero-G has absolutely outdone themselves. Aside from a very few specific scenes Marie's actually been drawn really well. The pacing is flat out superb even if maybe a tad fast at times, directing is excellent, animation isn't top notch or anything but it's very good on the whole. Opening visuals are nice, song is fine on the whole, ending is great. There's a few things cut out in comparison to the manga though, on the whole they're really quite minor so far and not that big a deal. It's likely inevitable to see some here and there given they have 12 episodes to work with and I have a pretty good idea of where they want to end it. Overall though, Wow, I already read all the available manga months ago but all I can say is Zero-G thank you. I've only seen 1 episode and I'm already impressed by your wonderful adaption of this work. Keep this up! It's just as good as the manga if not even better, love the dynamic between Marie and Kazuhiro, it's wholesome, entertaining, and not to mention fun! |

| I thought this was gonna be ecchi but color me surprise, it's pretty wholesome. I will say that Kazuhiro is an advanced level lucid dreamer because I don't think many people, or any people can do what he can. |

| I decided to write down my thoughts while watching the episode: - Japanese people continue playing jrpg even in their dreams, I mean "This sleep-sekai was weirder than I expected.". - By the way, if he goes early to bad, shouldn't his sleep be divided into two phases? Like sleeping till 1 am, than being awake for 2-3 hours (aka "the watch"), than back to sleep? The supposed sleep cycle before the invention of affordable and accessible artificial lighting. - Feeding your loved one in Japan goes beyond the simple pride from you cooking skills...it's some sort of fetish. - Dragon eggs? Quest accepted! - Why a single salaryman needs double bad? - The eyecatch was really cute. - Why sailor fuku...I mean the guy is on the nerdish side, but still, why? The zettai ryouiki is perfectly understandable tho (I am not better than him). - Dude has SHUCH CAR instead of kei car? This show is a blatant lie (it was almost a documentary to this point/s)! - Yeah, don't forget about the fork! I am sure the elfs totally had that in their mediaeval-esque culture. - Elf complains about age difference, that's uncharacteristic. - Yes, bribe your elf waifu with food, that works 9 out of 10. If not obvious I had fun, also the visuals are cute. |

Kazuhiro goes to his dreams with the mindset that he's an adventurer with equipment and food. He has stated that whenever he dies in his dreams, he just wakes up. Marie, on the other hand, from her perspective, got killed, and her last preconceived thought was that the dragonbreath burned everything to ashes clothes and all, which explains why she's naked. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Bland otaku wish fulfillment, but reverse isekai flavored this time around. A manic pixie dream 100y/o elf whom you can parade around in mismatched school uniform because she has no other option but to rely on you for protection in a unknown world... Yay. I suppose I'm just not the target audience for this one. |

| This was a charming first episode. Nothing too impressive overall, but I like the idea of reverse isekai. Marie is cute and full of enthusiasm. Nice bright colors and a cute art style make it visually appealing, too. The guy's design is painfully plain, though. Honestly, this series gives off a strong mid-2000's vibe between it's character design and tone. I think that's another reason why I'm liking this so far. |
