You commented on my After the Rain review four years ago lol. I really appreciated your comment my page has gone dormant because I have other life demands but I will try to be more active in the future.

To jog your memory your comment essentially said that my review essentially ruined your enjoyment of the show and that was not my intention. Art is completely subjective at the end of the day and what appealed to me at 12 is very different than what appeals to me now. I think the most important thing is to analyze what specifically about the art appealed to you and to express that. When I made that review I was just in critique mode and wasn't giving full credit to the nuances of the show. It is decently written, and I don't think my review then would reflect my feelings now.

Nice! Yeah, I love both the concept and a lot of the aesthetic in those. And reverse isekai into an Earth with a lot of conflict from the meshing of worlds seems to fit this new series too. I've been watching more and more seasonals lately, but still watch shows from any airdate so I'm glad that those two found their way into my planning list.

Well, my vocabulary grows by the day and I'm happy for it. I'm glad you enjoy my reviews, I had a lot of fun writing them. I'd love to hear your arguments, it's always great to hear other opinions. It's kind of essential if you're trying to write your own stories.

Yea I wont lie I expected the normal trope and was pleasantly surprised went in to this one blind, as I tend to do with most anime. Will be interesting to see where it goes.

I'll admit its a bit better now but only just, and thanks in large solely to the mc Utena who the writers begrudgingly granted a tinge of character dev, the highlight of which came in episode 7 where she stopped one of the magical girl's whose name I can't even bother to remember from turning evil/degenerate, that and 1 or 2 other barely notable instances are the only positives as far as plot goes, and the rest just painfully proves my point of perpetual degeneracy between the characters. At the time of writing my review I had hoped I was wrong, I really wanted the show to be much more, I didn't mind the occasional ecchi scene here and there but alas "mc sees villain, mc lewds" is the plot apparently. So to answer you question, no, I didn't find the plot better after 8 episodes, the minute positives I could find were not even remotely enough to label the plot as decent.

And weirdly enough the show is perfectly watchable from an ecchi point of view lol.

Feel free to look up if you're curious, but as for what older series you might be referring to that it might be similar to I'm not sure I can help you with, or at least nothing that comes to mind
