| Holy shit, Mugen - what a monkey xD + Hijikata's seiyuu. Jin is cool too. Now this is the action that even I liek. |
| I'm starting to rewatch the show for the fourth time and this episode delivers the awesomness just like the first time. Mugen and Jin are the shit, but Fuu takes first place by being the brains behind all. After watching the entire show I have to say that this episode is the best way to start one of the best shows ever. By the end you can tell that the quality of the art, style and plot didn't diminished one bit. Thank GOD I found a Blu-ray dubbed copy from Philoshopy-raws, 44 GB of pure awesomesauce. It's going straight to my "never forget and never delete" collection. Believe you newcomers to this show, the 44gb are worth it. EDIT: Oh, and by the way, the dubbed version is fantastic. Hearing Jin say "you little shit" and Mugen to say "I'll take all you little biitches on" its kinda priceless. Not because they curse, but because they do it with style, proper to the characters. I highly recommend the dubbed version, even though you're a subbed purist. |

| I'm one of the few Cowboy Bebop haters out there so not going to get my hopes too high, but this was a great start nonetheless (i though Bebop was as well), in particular i think they got the balance of the characters right. |

| Fun first episode. Definitely reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop with all of its cool factor despite the setting difference. I liked Mugen's fight style that looks like break dance and I love the soundtrack. |

I remember this episode, though. An incredibly strong first episode with memorable characters, that's for sure. |

| So, it's just another Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann all over again but with shameful samurai style, pathetic. First episode looks like typical bait for teenagers with all these "cool" moves and average action scenes, typical "badass" characters, typical girl for funny moments, parody on music - hip-hop, animation quality is cheap. Absolutely generic anime for generic teenagers. |
Far from the perfectly animated fighting choreography , the story telling moving back and forth with changes in perspective and the rather curious mix of soundtrack with era, I highlight the humor; always present, banalizing the violence. Amazing first episode. PS: And here I was wondering how and why her "tits" were bouncing around like that xD I laughed a lot after finding out why heh. |
| This anime was recommended to me by a friend. I was sooo hoping it wouldnt disappoint cuz i just came from watching another anime that was utter crap. Luckliy, we are off to a good start!!! Loving the action and mugens attitude. the "stick and bones" character design is actually attractive to me, no complains at all. I hope the pacing and amount of action stay like that |

| A lot of action on the first episode, this gonna be good I hope. And Mugen’s seiyuu is the same as Hijikata’s from Gintama! I immediately recognized the voice XD. Mugen, Jin, and Fuu are an interesting bunch. The background scoring style were not the usual ones you hear in a series but it’s fine and make the scene feels realistic I guess. |
