Well that was fun. From the music concert to the interruption. I just love how that girl swings her guitar like a weapon. The aftermath of that attack reminds me of a Kill la Kill-like impact.

Nice Kyoto themes as well. :3

Quite the interesting place with three fractions and that the captain of KRs and especially the Maikos seems like they will get along really well.

The invasion of the Shuten's base with all the expectations of the 4 bests xD I enjoy this kind of comedy style.

Shuten's captain is also interesting enough to have all the stones that the people hate. Makes me curious on what conditions stones fall and perhaps the entire mystery behind it.

While there is tension, everyone being so lax just makes it charming in its own way.

Man the Yoda talk was giving my brain a fit. Felt like dyslexia or something. I wonder why it seemed like Chiaya wanted to keep them away from the power stones though. Overall I feel as if the narrative for this arc was set-up kinda sloppily. I could still tell what was going on, mostly, but the mix of Chiaya's mom's involvement, plus the inclusion of the band(which I called weeks ago) added to the sense of confusion I got here.

I wonder if there is any kind of reason to explain why they're all talking like Yoda in Kyoto. It just seems so extremely random. Not as though anything else here made sense though. It is pretty fun at times though.

Since the KR's Captain has one of those stones, I expected her to put up a good fight against Shuten. Disappointingly, she got owned too easily.

The Rolling Girls failing to fight back was pretty funny! At least, Hibiki tried, while Nozomi and Yukina tripped and bumped into each other. Chiaya was just sleeping in the car. XD
Maiko's intervention was pretty cool! Mamechiyo vs. Shuten would've been an awesome fight if it continued.

Chiaya seemed to keep her teammates away from getting a hold of the stones. She probably has a good reason behind though.

Decent episode. Shuten definitely won't be bored anymore with the amount of stones he has implanted in those sculptures.

All these people talking like Yoda kinda bothered me in this episode

So far the Kyoto people all seem really likable and the concert stuff was great. I also liked the explanation that we got for what the stones does to people in order to make them "Bests"

Good episode overall

dat concert fight doe gave me all the scott pilgrim vibes looking forward to the big show now!.

but wtih only 2 arcs left judging from the ed none of the girls have gotten a single stone was hoping they would fight but i feel like that won't be the case.

little late but the explanation was much needed show made a little more sense for once but then everyone from Kyoto started talking like yoda for whatever reason

Fun episode indeed

I have a feeling that Doji is only playing the bad guy to help reconcile the 2 female captains. I might be wrong though

Kyoto has a highly polite way of speaking that forms its own dialect in Japanese. Very very formal. The subtitlers were trying to convey that.

I really like the use of painted scenes, it gives this animation a unique, fun feel. Same with how everyone gets "blown away" when a stone is used. I wouldn't say this is a great animation by any stretch, but if I can't have great, I will take enjoyable any day, and this is that.

This show does some pretty awesome stuff.
Its just a shame that the four main girls are the LEAST interesting characters in the whole thing.
We got some nice teasers for the fighting this episode, hopefully next episode is an all out battle! I loved the fight scenes from the earlier episodes.

- "promises" not to get lost
- less than 5 mins into episode, strays from the pack

- A town raised under the teachings of great jedi Yoda
- Shuten guy wrecks a best
- The Rolling Girls being treated like the real deal--Probably the most realist thing this episode, being a "best" upholds too many expectations
- Shuten guy instantly wrecks the "rest"
- That girl's denial of her interest in rock. Lesson to learn here: people may not tell you how they feel, but they will always show it to some extent

gotta love the absurdity! 4/5

I guess that all the cities on the anime are crazy in their own way.
And I loved how the girls just casually cheered when the kidnapped woman was playing.

Another fun episode! I just love the energy in this show.
That short fight scene during the concert was really cool. The animation and effects in this show are great. That box helicopter was pretty funny.
But when I saw a stone just fall from the sky and a dude just picked it up and put it in a box, I was just confused but it was later explained.
It's always funny to see the people just get blown away from when there's a battle between those who use the stones.

Those statues at the end, though...

This arc builds up pretty slowly but the characters seems interesting.
The groups the rule here seem like the opposite of each other but they might have a lot in common.

Chiaya sleeping nonchalantly is cute :). But I have a feeling she's hiding something from the way she tried to distract the girls when someone was gathering the stones.

"Oh I don't want to collect any stones"
"Oh I don't want to become a best"
"Oh I'm not interested in searching for the stones anymore"

Then, why the fuck is this show still airing?

It's like they're intentionally trying to make the show boring.

Instead of all the characters wanting to become bests, and instead of them DOING THE JOB THEY WERE HIRED TO DO, they literally go to a town, do nothing while the two factions solve the issues themselves...then don't take the stones.

Chiaya intentionally keeping them from getting the stones...just so they could all keep driving around as friends I'm sure, or some other menial bullshit.

Well at least Ai wants a stone. Nozomi and Yukina are just retarded, and Chiaya is just being a defiant brat towards her mother.

The plot thickens!! But I still don't know what the heck is going on...

Is it me or I smell somekind of yuri between those two new leaders, mmmm? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The concert showdown was pretty epic, especially when the music got super loud.

Is it me or that show is underrated? I understand that it may not be in the first 1000s animes, but to be in the 3000s? I guess that will change when people, like me, will rate it at the end of it. So far, to me it's a 7-8/10.

That OP is still adorable, no matter how many time I see it.

I love this show and this episode was damn good! The abstract nature is very reminiscent of FLCL more so than Kill la Kill imo. It's only similar to Kill la Kill in the fights, but the color scheme definitely reminds me of Kyousou Giga.

Anyways, this is one of the most underrated shows of the season. I think the characters are great, the art is phenomenal, the music is nice, the themes in it are interesting, the setting is very cool, and each arc brings something new to the table. Ya, it the plot may be confusing some times but when did that stop people from liking FLCL? I think the show is great, so that's something at least.

All I want is one of the girls to use the power stones to fight for once. Hibiki would probably be the best one to fight out of the gang.

This time everything turns the right way, the narrative becomes so much more pleasant to follow and it is hard to keep up. Plot that moves quite well and is easy to understand, drawings of good quality and nice overall. Also pleasing scenarios, compared to the last time this episode was much nicer, in every sense.

We might find out what causes stones to fall with this development. The concerts seem to cause distorted stones to come down, hence the "jinxed stone" moniker- whether there's actually any difference between them and normal stones (beyond aesthetics) remains to be seen.

I see everybody here was complaining about the subs reversing sentence structure to convey the alternate dialect, in the simuldub they gave all the rock people a British accent then had the Kyoto people talk normally to get the same thing across. Interesting difference there, not sure which way I prefer it.

The English accents bugged the shit out of me.
