How My Scoring/Grading System Works
I figured I might as well explain what I have in mind when I grade something since everybody has different methods of how they determine what is a #/10.
First off, my grading scale is pretty much aligned with the American academic grading scale:
10/10 = A+
9/10 = A
8/10 = B
7/10 = C
6/10 = D
5/10 and lower = F
On a basic level this is how I view things when I grade them: I see everything in letter grades. Though I do take in consideration of the bell curve as well.
Usually when grading a show, I have
three methods of grading. Usually I use all three when grading a show, but it
depends on the show so I may critique the show differently by favoring one method over another or sometimes using all three equally, etc. Here's the methods:
1. I'll compare it to titles within its genre. How does the show stack up against other shows in its genre(s)? Does it do things differently? Does it do things the same? How does it use these devices?
2. I'll think how it compares to other titles in general (so outside its genre). Are the themes, narrative, characters, animation, art, atmosphere, tone, music, etc. good in a general sense?
3. How did it affect me on a personal level? And was I entertained when watching/reading the title?
That is how I usually think out things when I grade them.

I'm not sure I'll participate in the tourney, might lurk to see how well it goes. After the forums shuts down, I won't be posting into club threads or stuff anymore. Pretty much just going to keep my activity limited to watching CR videos. It's been nice knowing you. I think we've known each other since like 2015 or something? Lol, time sure flies fast.
What your thought on SAO(*overall franchise*) ?
I saw you commented on @Stark700. That where I found you xD
I made a review in Run with the Wind. Here's the https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=334140. I would like to know your opinion about the show. It will be nice if you have any opinions on my review. I am open to criticism. If you like the review, clicking the helpful button is highly appreciative to show your support.
Sorry for the late reply. Glad that you liked it and have a great new year.
Take care,
Pipe
Yeah, I always like to throw in something funny or at least what I find to be amusing lol into my reviews to keep readers interested, and that's what I thought of XD
I agree the manga adaptations Fruits Basket and Demon Slayer have been great so far, especially as both shows are continuing into the next season with more episodes. Honestly, last year's Summer was weak to me with too many comedies. This year looks better so far although I could be wrong. We'll have to see next month and more.
There's not much romance from the Summer lineup although Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 2 could be good. I'm personally looking forward to Vinland Saga, Dr Stone, and some others.
Honestly, Spring is underwhelming this year. Too many shorts and the isekai were awful, even compared to previous seasons. Some of the continous cours may be worth checking out though like Dororo. Also, Carole & Tuesday is pertty good.
