My Ratings: 10 - Masterpiece ♥ 9 - Awesome anime - maximum score I usually gave. 8 - Great anime, love it (maximum score for Shounen genre) 7 - Slightly-above-the-average anime 6 - Average anime, still like it, but not so much 5 - Borderline - neutral - boring, but has some watch value 4 - Bad - as bad as Sword Art Online (base) ≤3 - Atrocious - painful to watch
I rate while I am watching. The ratings may change as I watch more episodes. Rating is based heavily on the plot and originality, while animation and music affects little in the scoring.
My most preferred genres are Comedy, Romance, Slice-of-Life and Drama. I dislike Harem and Ecchi shows. I don't watch Mecha unless the story and characters are good, and I don't watch Sports anime unless the sport is individual-based and realistic (like Baby Steps). I avoid idol anime and anime scripted by Nisio Isin (e.g. Monogatari series). I only watch new anime.
My current Japanese proficiency level is JLPT N3. I do not read visual novels. I have stopped playing RPG games. I prefer sandbox games (like Minecraft), but lately I haven't been playing any games.
Anime Song Preferences
I listen to anime songs. My favourite band is fhána. I prefer songs sang by singers who:
have no voice-acting roles
have voice-acting roles but do not sound anime-like (i.e. high-pitched/cute singing). E.g. Maaya Sakamoto, Nana Mizuki
are not named after an anime character followed by a "CV:" with a voice actor/actress name
are not part of a seiyuu unit or idol group.
I do not listen to vocaloids, covers, doujin music, character songs or idol songs. The only exception for character songs and idol songs is if the songs are used in the anime. I dislike Nightcore music and remixes.

Anime Preferences
I watch pretty much all genres of anime, but since I watched a lot of them, I have chosen the anime very strictly to reduce the amount of anime to watch. Even with the strict selection, I watched an average of 15 to 25 anime per season concurrently.
The list below are the type of anime that I tend to avoid:
Shounen anime (e.g. One Piece)
Idol anime (e.g. Love Live!)
Anime where main characters are predominantly male (depends on the story)
Anime that provides a lot of fan service of male characters.
Adult/Shounen Ai/Yuri/Yaoi anime
Sports anime that are team-based (e.g. basketball, volleyball), unless most of the main characters are female (e.g. Ro-Kyu-Bu!).
Sports anime that are individual-based (e.g. tennis) without any female main character who plays the sports (exception: if all male characters, it depends on the story, e.g. Ping Pong The Animation)
Harem + Ecchi anime (Ecchi anime without Harem is OK; Harem anime without Ecchi is OK as well)
Reverse Harem anime (unless the anime does not focus on romance, such as Akatsuki no Yona)
Generic anime (people with special power who use them to protect something from something that threaten lives; usually with harem + school settings)
Mecha anime (unless I like the plot or characters, such as Suisei no Gargantia and Heavy Object)
Anime adapted from card game (unless it is something dark like Selector Infected WIXOSS)
Anime adapted from Vocaloids or other music sources, or anime that largely involves characters singing (e.g. Mekakucity Actors and HoneyWorks' inspired movie)
Anime adapted from works written by Nisio Isin, or any suspenseful anime that has a lot of dialogues and analogies, and very few action scenes (e.g. Bakemonogatari)
Anime that are made by Toei Animation; or any anime that has very slow pacing (unless it is a Slice-of-Life anime)
Anime longer than 2 cours or 26 episodes (unless I am up to date with the latest episode)
Anime where characters are based on anthropomorphism of inanimate objects or concepts (e.g. Kantai Collection, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Touken Ranbu)
Battle anime where the reason for fighting is to have wishes granted
Military anime without at least one male main character (e.g. Girls und Panzer)
Anime with a heavy mood where key information is deliberately left out in the first few episodes which may cause confusion (anime with a lighter mood, e.g. Flip Flappers is OK)
My most preferred anime genres are:
Comedy
Slice-of-Life
Moe + Slice-of-Life
Romance (One-to-one, boy-girl relations, not Harem)
I prefer light-hearted anime with minimal or no fan service, and if possible, realistic, inspirational and maybe educational. I also watch Shoujo anime that is not reverse harem.
Besides watching anime, I also read some manga, and I used to read light novels. I do not play visual novels, but I do watch the TV anime adaption of it.
7 episodes in and Sora yori mo Tooi Basho keeps surpassing my expectations. It's the best anime of the season excluding sequels, and even if i include sequels, there's only 1 anime i'd score higher.
I see you watched Grancrest Senki and scored it a 4. I didn't want to start it because i was sure it wouldn't be good, now you pretty much confirmed it XD. Anyways, my thought for this season so far: Decent. I only watched 4 anime so far, but 2 of them (Yuru Camp and Sora yorimo Tooi Basho) are pretty interesting. The other 2 were average at best imho though. Gonna complete Shoujo Shuumatsu soon. I really like it so far.
I just completed Houseki no Kuni and i loved it. It might just be the 2nd best new anime this year imo.
I have a couple anime left to watch (Gonna complete Shoujo Shuumatsu next) but if i was to do a top 3 anime of the year (No sequels included) i think it'd be this:
1. Made in Abyss
2. Houseki no Kuni
3. Tsuki ga Kirei
Woah, i didn't realize Houseki no Kuni's score had risen to high :O. I haven't watched that one since episode 2. Not sure what my top of the season will be, i'll think about it when i catch up with all of them. Plenty of time for this during the holidays. I do know one thing though, and i think you'll agree: Inuyashiki was a disappointment.
Mahoutsukai i haven't watched in a while on purpose so that i can watch multiple episodes in one go. As for Shokugeki, this is the weakest season so far, but i still really like it, i love the manga (But yeah, it has become less original with time). Shoujo Shuumatsu was pretty good so far, was halfway done with it, will watch the rest soon.
I'd say Gintama is my number 1, even though this is by far the weakest Gintama season. It's still Gintama, which is easily the funniest comedy i've seen and the most original shounen of all time probably.
I never started Konohana Kitan, i might start it if i have time between this and next season, but as for your top 2, i will for sure complete them and when i do i'll tell you what i thought.

I also liked Sarasa and her friends. Gonna miss them now that the show is over.
