| The style reminded me of Ranma and Maison Ikkoku, more slapstick and everyday life (Seiya's apartment) in this episode. Still find the series very hard to enjoy though. |

| Ha! When Shiryu gets to the Cloth Graveyard, you can here the exact same ghostly wailing from the beginning of the first song on White Zombie's La Sexorcisto, Welcome to Planet Motherf****r. That was a pleasant surprise. |
| I made a realization this episode. Every other battle shounen I've seen start off building and developing the cast before putting them in a plot heavy arc like this. However, Saint Seiya skips all of that and puts us right into the thick and thin. Because of this it's immediately exciting, the fighting is awesome, the story is fast past and interesting, but the characters feel or are one dimensional. You can't blame them for being so, they hardly have had any on screen time to break from it. I would also like to state that a plot over character heavy story isn't necessarily better or worse. Both together would be best, but as long as one element isn't badly done it can pull it off. I like Death Note a lot, but I would consider most characters borderline 1D as it focuses on the plot over the characters on a meaningful level, which again, is actually a good thing in a sense. For example: I've just started One Piece and it seems to be following suit as well. In contrast to all of these, Saint Seiya starts with its cast already knowing one another, very minimalistic descriptions of the world/past, and immediately into an intense tournament, and epic saga. Again, it's not bad or good, but if the cast are not developed much further throughout the anime I can see it being a problem. Not a major issue, but something that holds it back. |

| This was a really cool episode! I loved the creepy valley, and the strangeness with Mu. Shiryu having to risk his life is a little absurd considering what has already happened. Sometimes this series is like... too much all the time haha. |
| WTF Mu? Him telling Shiryuu to die and pushing him off a cliff was so fucking creepy of him, on top of the way he said "SHINEE" |
