Really nice short OVA. Seems experimental with that beautiful animation style and it having no dialogue, which worked really well in my opinion. As a fan of the manga I really appreciated it.

This was great. I think it was the right decision to make it have no voice acting or dialogue. It's a nice little self contained story that people can enjoy even if they haven't read the manga before. I really hope they make more of this, in this style.

I didn't expect to tear up, but the dramatic chase scene near the end really got me. I really enjoyed the dramatic tense horror esque shots it threw in there. Really short and beautiful.

It was a nice compliment to the manga, tho it might seem like a pointless ova for people who have not read the manga, cause i did expect more out of this tbh (even tho i read the manga myself). It was fine that it was just with sound and music, but would love to see more of the struggle from shiva and sensei.

However, I have to say i loved the "hug" at the end, as it ties nicely in to

Finally got my copy. It was pretty good! I honestly liked how experimental it was. More like a short art film than an adaptation.

Definitely gave off Mahoutsukai no Youme vibes

Atmospheric short that can be enjoyed even without knowing the manga.

That was a nice little short. The animation looked experimental and cool. I wish it were longer than 10 minutes though. I was hoping this would be a 20 minute ova.

Awww, I really loved that ~~~

Now I'm honestly willing to check out the manga. I was avoiding it 'cause I didn't want to get into same mahoutsukai no yome formula, but this ova gave me quite a different impression.

I wish it was longer, this was really good! I read a few chapters a long time ago and it was mesmerizing, the anime also managed to capture that same magic! Just wish it gets a full wedged series in the near future!

Wit truly can adapt anything. They nailed it. I can't help but wonder if this OVA is in the 7.5 range because of people who haven't read the manga.
This did everything right. Shiva eating the burnt food and pretending to like it. Teacher feeling overwhelming anxiety over Shiva's safety in the middle of the night. That running scene was perfect.
When he hugged her at the end, I initially felt that was so out of character and that Wit just added it for whatever reason. But then it reveals that that was just a reflection in the water and was only inside Teacher's head. Absolutely brilliant. That perfectly nails Teacher's character and the manga's style of storytelling.
If you come across this post and only watched the OVA and haven't read the manga, please do yourself a favor and go read it right now.
Great job, Wit. You never cease to amaze me.

Really beautiful. Sad and heart warming done really well. I have no idea as to how it stands up to the manga since I haven't read it, but being ova I'm sure it's just fine.

After going and reading all that I can for the manga right now I can say that it does a good job at capturing the feel of the manga and the personalities of the main characters. It isn't perfect but it does a good job being basically a 10 min advertisement for the manga. Which you should go read. It is worth it.

No worries there. I put the manga on my ptr even before watching the ova.

I just love when a dark character gets turned good by a girl! When he thought she was gone, damn!

Loved everything about it, even the silence of it.

Meh, too short. I liked the art style and it also sounded as I imagined it would but I had more fun reading the first chapter of the manga than watching this whole thing. I'll just look at this as a teaser and expect someday it might be fully adapted.

As a person who has never read the manga, there are a lot of things about this OVA that weren't really answered for me. It was somewhat interesting, but confusing at the same time.

I guess I'd have to read the manga to understand it.

I've only read Nagabe's other oneshots aside from this one but they're all very similar in theme and they definitely did a perfect job of capturing the mysterious and warm vibe his manga gives out.

There was no dialogue and even the expressions are minimal but I can really sense the emotions behind their silent connection with each other. That last scene where they looked up to the beautifully colored sky was absolutely gorgeous.

Sensei's intense desire to hug Shiva being only a something he can imagine doing if he does not want to corrupt her was tragic like a forbidden love. I want to read the manga to see how it goes~

That was great stuff for sure, the lack of dialogue and the aesthetic really drew me in.

I liked how the dark dude and the small girl could be together despite differences in power and ability. It may seem like an odd combo, but they have proven it to have worked well.

8/10.

Beautifully done. Loved the simple classic animation and the silence made it more impactful.

Sensei wanting to hug Shiva but unable to do so because of the curse, that imagination was so sad yet touching.

I wish it was longer. And I hope they continue it by making a TV anime in the future.

8.5/10 for this new piece of art i came to find. Reminds me of hw anime was when I was younger: seemingly rough at times, but full of emotion, truth, purpose and wonder. Almost had a final fantasy feel to the soundtrack, but the fearful apparition and dreams of the child almost took me back to super early childhood myself. As well as the "adult" that was raising her as if she was their own daughter was very touching. Reminds me of when I lived in the woods and would stare up at the endless starry sky.

I love this short OVA, it's relaxing to watch both of them. There's still lot of questions about it, especially how the black kind of a virus is spreading, making me confuse on what does it mean.

It was a very nice, short OVA, and I thought it was really good.

The animation was quite gorgeous, and the music elevated it by a lot.

I heard this was a manga adaptation, so I'm going to go ahead and give it a read. I'm really intrigued by this.
