Welp, action broke out fast this episode.

Honestly, this was kinda messy to watch. While the fighting was intense, it was all over the place. There's still the singing as usual coming from μ. The pain she's dealing with though...ot a pleasant sight to see.

Mu's song is the start of the musicians counterattack huh. Seeing the desires and thoughts of each team member and their many reasons to want to return to the real world was nice. By learning to express all of their hidden regrets and feelings they are able to gain the power to fight back against the musicians. The fight between the two sides was intense. Mu going berserk though was unexpected though. An interesting and rather intense episode that finally gave the team the motivation and reasons that they needed to unlock their powers. Seeing the musicians being forced back was entertaining Curious to see what connection Mu has with Ritsu though.

This was quite an action-packed episode. The characters got to fight back with some cool powers. The antagonists are really terrible and cringy. μ going all berserk was intense.

It was a really entertainingly good episode.

It was right off the bat full of action, but I am really thinking the series has only started now as it looks like the opening implies with the power the cast has gotten. I think the action had his entertaining parts, the music was really suited as well.

I still hate how the psychological tone of the series feels, it's just edgy, weird and uncomfortable.
One of my biggest issues with this.

4.5/5 Favorite episode, look forward to seeing how it will continue from here.

The pacing was a bit messy but I can forgive them for providing me with a very entertaining episode full of action and singing. Lovely.

One of the best episodes of this show so far.

Seeing everyone in the now "Go-Home Club" as well as Mu(?) going berserk was pretty interesting, to be honest.

The Musicians were kinda meh, though.

Anyway, can't wait to see what happens next!

Overall Score: 3/5

Does this suggest that Thorn is the main culprit around here ?

So Kotaro's backstory was that he is a fireman.

So Ritsu was able to achieve a catharsis effect ny himself without Aria's help, does that mean that he himself may have been the one who created U?

This is the episode where the main characters finally get together. To be honest, I was afraid that Ritsu, the protagonist and whom we're supposed to care about, wouldn't get superpowers like his friends and the series would drag his character development along, until he is able reveal his powers and strengthen his resolve. Also, the episode hints at a secret connection between Ritsu and µ. With these developments, I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

It's pretty much confirmed at this point that Ritsu is that vocaloid's creator, seen in the opening of Episode 1. If so, I'm wondering how this series develops, and what the past of each person is.

The Overdose version has 2 routes, the route of the original game and the route where the protagonisyta is passed to the Ostinato side under the name of Lucid.

Episode with the most development yet, but the quality (writing? pacing?) could use some work. They could have delve a bit deeper into the characters' problems leading to their catharsis. (But given the amount of characters and the episode restriction... 12 only? It seems difficult) I do like the theme and ideas of the show/game however. I just wish it was better executed. I'm gonna have to let this anime go.

I totally agree with your assessment. This was definitely the make-or-break episode for this series, and it's a break for me. Like you said, there are some potentially great ideas here, but the show is just not doing them justice, and part of that probably is the episode count being too short to deal with this many characters in the way it really needs to in order to make the main conceit advertised by the beginning of the show really work. It's not a dumpster fire by any means, I'm just not getting anything I really want out of it anymore.

Yep, I knew from the previous episode that it was all building up to this. I didn't expect it to be this intense though.

So we got a puncher, a gunner, a sledgehammer, an archer, some sort of technical engineer support, a swordsman, a witch, and Ritsu wielding dual laser pistols which might also serve as giant light sabers.

^this x1000. Suzuna was pretty plain before, but that witch hat with that dangling bell just put her at the top of the class.

U's songs really sounded great throughout this episode. I really liked it when she began singing in an angry voice right before she exploded into a rage. She reminds me of a certain someone during a certain event in Symphogear. I'm pretty sure Satelight saw this and took the opportunity to put in a Symphogear reference along with that Jojo reference. But as it is part of the game, maybe the reference wasn't intentional. Still....BURN THOSE MEMORIES AND UNLEASH GENOCIDE AND GENOCIDE! ^_^

This is amazing, I sure did not expect them to go full frontal with the action and dispositions. My guess would be Myu is actually a human being turned into A.I., a sister of Ritsu, who was the first tester of the new "happiness" system. Guess someone hijacked the good idea somewhere along the way, Thorn does not look like the ultimate villain, he has to be outside the world pulling the strings.

Pretty much this.
After watching this episode (specifically Myu's breakdown), I had to run through episode 1 again which totally upped the rewatch value.

Hell, I think the first two minutes alone of episode 1 after finishing this episode would be a perfect way to finish off ep.6 if anyone cares to spare the time for it - I'd highly recommend doing so!

I'm pretty curious about it too, overall. Like how'd the whole embodiment center was established to send their minds off to 'Mobius'.
It's one thing to develop Myu, but to also create/operate something of that scale for those wishing to escape? He must have some grand financial backing of some sorts .. not sure.

With this episode and the tweet from the Caligula team, I guess we're leaving the individual side character/antagonist developments and heading off to Ritsu's story. What keyed me in more is that we were progressing with each antagonist's theme song in order, but Angel's Song didn't show up in Ep 6 after Sadistic Queen last episode. Instead we get Mu's repeating theme and our altercation at the very end between her and Ritsu.

I've got an idea floating around about what their relationship is (the first 2 minutes of episode 1 are really revelatory at this point, good spotting), but there are a lot of nuances hidden in the lyrics of all of Mu's songs, especially Thorn's theme Distorted†Happiness, which

All of the songs are really great in that regard, honestly. Looking forward to the shift in direction next week. Since they have to rush through a lot of material I think slogging through the characters at a torrid pace didn't go over so well, hopefully the second half fares better. Still have high hopes

So many backstory drops. Hey, reminds me of...why bother.

Looked quite good. Production value fell a bit after they started doing action, guess it's all a bit harder to handle.

Ueshama was noticeably straining her voice a bit in the song in the second half, not great. By song I mean the actual song she was singing when she appeared, not the screaming acting after that which was damn on point tbf

This show had been pretty meh for me up until this point and I've mostly just been watching for the character designs since I don't have a Vita. Then this episode surpassed all the past episodes greatly in my opinion. One point I liked the most was when everybody was dealing with their individual fights and the show cut between different scenes, but there was a single conversation that flowed throughout the scenes.

I also really liked how they showed off Mu's songs in this episode and how dependent they are on Mu's emotions.

So we got 4 different battles taking place all over the city, 5 different characters all awakening at the same time and getting their powers with an additional one after, a Jojo reference, and literally everything was basically destroyed, and the Go-Home club has been established. I'd say this was pretty good progress, and a pretty good episode. Gonna have to get some of the music from this anime later...

Lot of stuff happened in this episode,
It's good everyone got their powers so the rest of the episodes won't be wasted on introducing them, Btw that Izuru guy came out of nowhere LOL, now he's part of the rogues,
So it seems eveyone has a different problem in the real world, and it seems most of them are adults, looking forward to see their true selves in reality.
So Rogues and Musicians and μ, nice to see the story become more clear,
