Somehow..they just feel similar.. xD like one major plot, revolving around a main character manipulating others.. Both have some sort of alchemy in.
report Recommended by Eternal
Both shows take place around the time period, have similar voice actors, similar acting characters and plots involving time, magic and special watches.

You will fall in love with both the male leads. you will also believe that the childhood friends/friends belong together.

Well Abel and Chrono has a horrible past that they are not proud of. The main character was once evil but turn to good, and they have a kick butt nun as a partner. They also join religious churches or organization. they also have an emeny from their past.
report Recommended by sparky
Both series are about demons and exorcists who try to vanquish them, with both series starring a lone demon who works for good. Both have spectacular graphics and fluid animation, and a story that's worth being in your list if your into the supernatural/demon genre.

One demonic boy, who of course lives long. His partner is a human girl who looks like another girl in the demonic boys past.

Just like with Basilisk and Romeo x Juliet, Chrono Crusade is another example of Gonzo's love of tragic romance in their works. And a word of warning: CC is the most depressing of the three by the end due to some choice anime original alterations. A demon and a nun with a gun: never going to have a happy end, that! What makes Chrono Crusade especially NOOO in terms of emotional overload is that, in order for the titular lead to use his demonic powers, he has to drain the life of the heroine, Rosette. Never have I encountered a similar 'superpower limiter' before. As  read more

Bad guys try to take over the world or something, good guys with special powers fight back, and just like in practically every anime... boy + girl = well u know xD

Both are from the same producer, artwork and overall feeling is pretty similar. In both animes are the main characters an important part of an origanization which is fighting against the evil.

A career demon killer teams up with a demon to - what else? - kill demons and save their sibling. It's not an original plot, but both shows manage to make it their own by building interesting and unique settings - both (roughly) set in the 1920's, in Taisho-era Japan and the Jazz Age United States. There's a definite emphasis on action, but the shows don't back down from leaning into both the comedy and tragedy aspects of the genre when needed. Chrono Crusade fans can enjoy the beautiful animation and modern artstyle present in Kimetsu no Yaiba, while Kimetsu no Yaiba fans can look to Chrono  read more

To me, Chrono Crusade is the closest anime to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Sure, D.Gray-man has some similar aspects shared with Fullmetal Alchemist, but it has enough differences to not be another Fullmetal Alchemist. However, Chrono Crusade is the closest anime to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood I can think of. The plots both revolve around siblings, and Rosette reminds me a bit of what Edward would be if he was female. There’s more, but we’d be here all day. Which is better? Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, no question. But Chrono Crusade is also pretty good and worth a watch.

Similar mood throughout the stories, characters are forced into conflicts, the endings are also in the same themes of "stolen" love. Simply put both are great action/adventure Romance and must watch.
report Recommended by spark91
They're both with demons and with thngs related to religion. They give a similar feelling.
report Recommended by JungTaco
Both animes with a lot of battles, and a lot of touching scene's. The main characters are also similar in some ways. And of course, both animes involve magic and people from another world/race ;)
report Recommended by Zodia
Both are a deep dark horror/thriller animes with a unique blend of characters. Both certainly have their share of fan service and disturbing horror.
report Recommended by ShadowBlazer3000
Chrono Crusade and Mai both deal with similar themes, an older sister and a younger brother, death, destruction and magic. Both get pretty heavy later in their series but still have their share of comedic elements.
report Recommended by ShadowBlazer3000
The romance part and that bitter sweet ending. Idk, the endings is what makes me happy.

Chrno Crusade is a religious organization that fight against demons, only one of them helps the protagonist. Tatakau Shisho (contrast of Chrno Crusade) is an organization created by a certain God. These people with different magic abylities fight against a religious group that define life in a different way that use human as weapons. Both anime have action, slice of romance (Chrno Crusade more evidence), guns, mystery...

Both have childlike demons fighting for good.

Both are at 20.century and both girls are cute. guys are both dark skinned and dark haired. when i watched gosick i remebered that its very similar to chrono crusade.. WATCH THOSE AND U WILL SEE!!!!

-Both girl main character -Both girls searching for someone for many years. ( Chrno : searching for brother ; Full moon : searching for lover ) -Both involves romance, and a group of friends -Both extreamly sad, involves tragity ( someone dying. ) Only difference is that Chrno Crusade involves with fighting and action, however Chrno Crusade actually have an extreamly good plot. Try out these 2 animes, they will bring you to tears no matter what.

-Both extremely great, adventurous, heartwarming, funny, cute, emotional anime. -Both lost someone extremely important to them, so they set off on an adventure searching for them. -Has a group. -Both gives you a similar feeling -Both have an assistance. Chrono and Rosette, and Lag and Nichie I don't understand why nobody post this recommendation up yet ):
report Recommended by iNinjeek
They both are similar because.. -Both involve romance -Both with comedy -Hearwarming, hooking, and adventurous. -Both characters are looking for someone they love so much, ( no.6, shows it in the middle of the anime) -Both ending are near similar. -Both have a group of friends whom are sort of similar. just watch it and you'd understand .__.) both anime are my favorite. its SOO good. Difference -No.6 is boyxboy. but its not like the other one who go beyond extream, no.6 is just cute. -Chrno crusade is girl x boy p:

Serious plot with a lot of comic relief. Similar storytelling techniques.
report Recommended by elbaldo
Both share a female and male protoganist that fight to save the world, fairly similar plotlines of male fighting to protect. although not enphasised both have abit of romance, although chrno crusade has more
report Recommended by Coatlicue
both are centered around exorcists. in both main duo is a young human exorcist and their demon buddy with sealed powers (who switches forms between a cutie mascot and a hot piece of ass). both are set in era different from modern days.
report Recommended by sillyfang
Chrno Crusade and Soul Eater both revolve around a duo between a demon/human weapon and a human fighting against evil creatures. Maka is pretty similar to Rosette in personality. Both anime also have an organization that’s fighting the good fight. The stories in both are pretty dark with some humor, but Soul Eater is much more lighthearted and over the top than Chrno Crusade. Chrno Crusade is also much shorter than Soul Eater as well. However, I think fans of one series would like the other, as I like both of them.
report Recommended by SebCyrSC2000
Both have that tiptoeing romance that then blooms into a wonderful but touching ending.
report Recommended by EmeraldWolfChild
I'm mainly going to talk about how these series start really light hearted and get super dark by the end. Especially in the later half of chrono crusade, things get darker every episode
report Recommended by Jsar0
The main fighting duo are fatefully connected with similar restrictions on their power. Scattered lighthearted moments and long distance travelling to achieve their goal while the world is at stake.
report Recommended by F0rcefi3ld
These two anime are very close in how the story progress. Both also take you to the no hope line where it looks like nothing good will happen. they always find creative ways of using historical context in it.
report Recommended by Ace19
Both deal with the supernatural in a rather clinical, "scientific" manner, though Chrono Crusade is a lot more fighty and shounen-esque.
report Recommended by OracleAlexander
Both are about demons that are in the "Human" realm, and how they have changed from who they used to be, with enemies from the other realm trying to kill them.
report Recommended by --Aurabreaker--
Dark [DN Angel] closely resembles Chrono [Chrono Crusade], whether in personality or appearance, or past. Even though Chrono has become gentler. These heroes fight alongside expensive, either by a curse [DN Angel] or by a contract [Chrono Crusade]. They know the world of the shadows and they do everything to prevent their propagation, with the help of their friends: Satoshi [DNAngel] and Rosetta [Chrono Crusade]. By magic, in both animes, they can seal and destroy their enemies.
report Recommended by Kain_Matsunaga
Both series feature an outgoing female protagonist who fights alongside a mysterious superpowered partner. Both stories begin relatively lighthearted and become more serious over the course of the show.
report Recommended by raisin_bread
What is similar to this series is that both animes relate to the theme of god. Rosetta is a sister fighting in the name of god, compared to Ai who is a little girl who is a grave keeper. and the grave keepers were sent down by god.
report Recommended by Lilfukoling
they have the same plot like zombie all over the town in here demon all over the world and some people fighting them...
report Recommended by meowskie
Both anime are about people contracted to supernatural beings. In Polyphonica we have a man contracted to powerful spirit with not so noble past, in Chrno Crusade we have a girl contracted to powerful demon-made-good. Both anime also have the same theme about stopping others like them (contractees or demons) from their evil schemes.
report Recommended by hajil
In Hanbun we cant see supernatural demonic stuff like in Chrno but the similar moments are in the drama, the same love between a boy and girl threaten by the death..and their happiness is limited within short amount of time.
report Recommended by Lintenz_
I can't say how it's similiar to Casshern Sins, but I think that its' something that you may like since they're both very sad animes that are very much like slice-of-life animes.
report Recommended by AuroraStar
Well they are slightly simialr in that the main character in Pretear(Himeno) is like Odette thay have people helping them and they must fight a massive evil before it destroys everyone close to them. Heh sorry it was the best comparasion i could find!;(
report Recommended by scarlet-dreams
In both animes the main girls want to save their brothers from evil. Both animes are tragic stories with action that deal with supernatural beings.
report Recommended by Orulyon
The semi-episodic adventures of a loosely organized group of do-gooders with dubious authority, and backstories that lay a foundation of a moral- and faith-based struggle not just between groups but within individuals.
report Recommended by lithiumflower
These two great stories share many similarities - supernatural aspect, some comedy, romance, dark atmosphere, and two great stories. Watch them!
report Recommended by as3
In both series, the two main characters made a contract which is a double-edged weapon: on a side it allows them to be much more powerful in fighting, but at the same time it steals energy from one of the contractors, who gets his life lenght shortened. Even though Kurokami is focused on super powers and has intense action and drama, while Chrono Crusade is more on the supernatural side and has some silly comedy, both anime have an action-drama-romance mix, plenty of fights, a love-hate relationship between brother and sister, and, above all, identical sad endings.
report Recommended by RenaPsychoKiller
An inhuman man fights other inhuman creatures with the aid of a young woman backed by an organization and their oddball allies. Quirky urban fantasy stories with a violent edge.
report Recommended by lithiumflower
both series contain many religious references, their both ecchi ( 1 more so than the other (Seiken no Qwaswer...) and both have their funny moments and their serious moments. So you should check both of them out.
report Recommended by ChibiChica
In anime are Angels and Demons. Chrno is similar to Laharl (child form) and Vyers (adult form) from Makai Senki Disgaea.
report Recommended by Night_Shojo
both main characters make contracts with demons, well in shikabane hime:aka are corpses, the character plot and story are brilliant and yet very similar, both animes share the same dark feeling while in shikabane hime:aka the main character is looking for revenge, both contractors and the demons/corpses share a really strong bond that gives both animes the same feeling, there is a church in both animes pulling all the strings, both animes are action pack with funny moments and very sad moments, in my opinion i think Shikabane Hime: Aka is more dramatic, but in the end both animes are worth watching.
report Recommended by blade20
Both of these stories focus on the relationship between two young lovers and follow the adventure, supernatural theme. Travel is incorporated in both shows and the character development is extremely developed in both cases. Also, Chrno Crusade and the TRC series are incredibly sad and emotional but amazing nonetheless and all of the main characters in both series have downright depressing lives. Both series are 10/10 but Tsubasa's manga is better than the anime.
report Recommended by ItsmeAshtray
Demons are fighting for the good in both stories. CC is much darker, while KKM is more humorously-light, but you will definitely enjoy both

Chrno Crusade is similar to Death Note in that it digs into people's beliefs and mistakes.
report Recommended by cynn_tao
Both involve a team made of a human and a demon/ spirit that fights "evil".
report Recommended by naerayan
Devil May Cry and Chrno Crusade both deal with demons exterminators. They are both action-packed anime with a lot of gun action and blood. They both have similar art and animation with a very dark and gritty atmosphere. If you enjoyed one, you will enjoy the other.
report Recommended by Hellspawn28
Both are going about fighting agains demons/virusses. And The end is almost the same. And I also think that Lola looks like Azmaria. Not in the behaviour but in the role she is possesing. And that's with more people. Both series are beautiful.
report Recommended by Prudence
Chrno doesnt like to use his power to fight and neither does Kenshin .. i actualy only read the manga for Rurouni Kenshin ........so i cheated.... Well if you liked Chrno Crusade then you will like Rurouni Kenshin becouse they are both fantastic animes
report Recommended by GummyShoes
There are demons and organizations who hunt them in both anime. Both anime also revolve around extremely powerful demon, who helps humans to fight his own kind. Another similarity is that protagonists in both anime have to spend their partner's lifespan in order to manifest some kind of power.
