Lycoris Recoil

Both have two main characters whose traits are similar. One is cheerful and the other is serious. 

Energetic, cheerful girl X Serious girl. Setting is very different but once you watched both of them you would definitely realize why they're similar. And also, the yuri vibes is a big plus. If you're a yuri bait enjoyer, this is definitely recommended. 

Mahou Kakumei is what we wished Lycoris Recoil was. - One noticeable similarity is the MC's dynamic. One is carefree and eccentric while the other is serious and conservative. - (mild spoilers) Both series' stories expand on the serious MC learning to "break free" from rules as they grow close to each other, though Mahou Kakumei exploits this plotline more, to the point where it's a Yuri anime. Lycoris Recoil didn't, resulting in a "BFF" relationship between their MCs while only giving hints. - Mahou Kakumei needs to spend time on world-building, considering it's an Isekai. It could be boring to some. - Both series' adaptations are on par (by far.) Going between the two won't be a downgrade. If you enjoyed Lycoris when it aired and loves some Isekai trash, don't try Mahou Kakumei. This one is an Isekai treasure. read more 

Both have similar characters and personalities. 

The Mc reminds one so much of Chisato 

- Genki and kuudere - Kuudere girl gets betrayed at the beginning - Kuudere girl does not understand genki at the beginning - Relationship with genki slowly 'cures' the kuudere girl - Both girls are strong - They become a perfect duo 

It's another opposites attract dynamic anime with 2 girls. Instead of magic, it's guns (and defeating criminals, of course.) 

Both feature a pair of MCs with a similar personalities. Both feature a cheerful, carefree and erratic short-hair girl and a serious, quiet and strict long-hair girl.  

euphie / takina get attached to anis / chisato after they spend time with eachother & protect the mcs from getting their feelings hurt  

- Both have hidden weapons in mundane carrying cases (music cases, school bags) - Both work for seedy government organizations - Both fight with guns - Both have children fight with guns and in dangerous situations - Both have characters who, though human, have an advanced technology that has helped keep them alive.  

Both have cute girls working as hitmen for a secret government organization, although LycoReco is more lighthearted  

Both Series are Girls trained to fight the enemies of a Secret Organization. Though LycoReco has more humour and GsG is more serious and dark 

Both are about orphaned girls working since a young age as assassins working under a secret organization that fights against terrorism. While Gunslinger Girl is a very serious and gritty drama, Lycoris Recoil is a lot more moe and light hearted. 

The MCs from both anime are experts in using weapons, carrying out dangerous missions, and joining organizations. 

Cute Girls Assassins, Lycoris feels more like John Wick meets Slice of life tho 

Both about gunslinging girls, Lycoris Recoil is more cheerful, less lethal. Similar feeling when wathing, few times had a feeling those are a part of the series. 

Cute Anime Girls With AK-47 

-Both share crisp animation qualities for their time -High-school girls with boosted or extraordinary abilities that are used to help society out -An organisation/entity is responsible for making/controlling their activities 

Altough a spinoff, both Railgun and Lycoris Recoil share the trait of cute girls doing cute stuff. Both Series feature Action and you'll soon come to realize Academy City also has it's secrets 

both misaka and chisato are girls who have bassboosted abilities + fight crime for their respective societies, however are both being 'used' for their abilities as a tool by organisations+ eventually that becomes part of the enjoyable slice of life plots also girls with guns  

Girls in an organization fighting crime/helping people in a futuristic city, with a normal girl apparently being one of the strongest. Similiar mystery aspects and some kind of yuri bait. Also banger op/ed 

Both feature a group of a female student who fights crime behind the scenes 

both main casts are part of a covert law enforcement organization comprised almost entirely of schoolgirls trained to neutralize domestic terror events. if i had a penny for how many times this has been an anime premise, i'd have 2 pennies, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice. also has romantic tension between two of the females leads and a slow-burn mystery in common. lycoris is better imo 

action genre anime with lovely MC  

Both are female lead action shows where the protagonists are crime fighters in the city. Basically "cute girls doing badass things". When not fighting bad guys, both Railgun and Lycoris Recoil showcase our heroines amidst various slice of life moments. 

-Teenage girls given responsibilities no one their age should really be having -Gunfights, albeit to varying degrees -An organisation or entity overseeing the workings of these agents 

cute girls that are in an organization that helps people, they also wear school uniforms to blend in. 

Both feature a group of students working undercover in an underground organization. 

Characters: both anime main roles are girls Storyline: Lycoris Recoil = Modern, in Japan Princess Principal = Ancient, but quite high tech like anti-gravitational lifting ball that enables human fly, in Europe both are action anime (Lycoris Recoil = Guns) (Princess Principal = Any spy equipments include guns) their main storyline are not that similar relation of Chisato & Takina = relation of the main roles of Princess Principal's Charlotte & Ange Lineart & quality of graphic: both lineart are the same, thin & modern lineart both have bright & warm graphic colour both have excellent camera movement & transition done Music: Lycoris Recoil = Language more to Japanese Princess Principal = Language more to English 

Both have a female duo with contrasting personalities devoted to protecting each other in an action packed plot with various enemies. In their downtime, they go on dates.  

Similar story with the mc killing bad guys and threats but in an Isekai setting with great world-building. The cast has similar chemistry. It has some really dark themes like this. 

Both have Yuri theme and cool strong main girl mc.  

Both series are action-focused series that focus on characters working for the Japanese government in order to protect the public safety of Japan and fighting against a central villain that wishes to break that system apart; Psycho-Pass takes place in the far future and has a more somber, morbid tone whereas Lycoris takes place close to the present and has a consistent comedic bend, though takes itself seriously when it needs to. 

The crazy terrorist, his means and objectives, the way he talks to the people and towards the government force trying to kill him, even their names are similar. Majima really reminds me of Makishima Shougo, these two villains really have the same energy so to speak, but Lycoris Recoil while it has it's dark moments is much more light hearted with a focus on comedy, fan service and the cute relationship of the heroines. On contrast Psycho Pass is very serious and dark carrying deep philosophical matters to ponder upon and it also delves much more profoundly into the psychology, way of thinking, reasons and personality of the villain while Lycoris goes more superficial on those topics and the antagonist feels more like just a crazy terrorist.  read more 

It has the same feel to it - High School - Spys - Underground organization - Girl eats at the cafe/works there - cute girls doing cute things 

Both have a similar vibe. Anime girls fighting, wearing the same uniforms, being in a secret organization that has a restaurant as their base. It's basically the same anime, but Lycoris recoil has more plot. 

Has a similar school that is a crime fighting organisation that uses weapons. 

Both feature a group of students working for a crime-fighting organization.  

The Pacing and story-telling is very similar. Both of these will leave you feeling sad at the end of it. 

- Both about cute girl fighting the evil things happen in their city - The black hair girls are serious person (Homura - Takina) - The Tokyo Tower! - Both are original animes, and both OP was sing by ClariS. I was know both anime have a lot similar things when the anime just ep2. And I could say that both anime is very worth to watch! 

Both feature a group of female students who fights an enemy that threatens the peace of a city/area they swore to protect.  

Cute girls with guns working in a café and there's a lot of crazy fights.  

Similar abilities in being able to see enemies and female lead with guns. 

This anime is similar becomes it has 2 mc characters that are quite the opposite of own another. Their traits and differences defines their character. Both anime have characters different ways of benefiting goodness for other people.  

Similar Cute Girls with Cool Guns show. Both shows even have a kind MC who has supernatural bullet dodging skills. As well as the same tone of weird fun stuff in a dystopia. And the exact same gag where someone takes cover from bullet fire behind a suitcase with the client hiding inside. 

Both are action anime that involve characters with special abilities, intense battles and a narrative centered around the confrontation between different factions or groups. Furthermore, both animes explore themes of friendship, betrayal and redemption amid a backdrop of conflict 

Both anime focus on (a duo of) teenage girls that are used as soldiers/ killers in order to maintain peace. Of the two shows, "Magical Girl Spec-Ops: Asuka" is by far the darker one, featuring graphic violence, torture, and disturbing backstories, while "Lycoris Recoil" maintains more of an equilibrium between CGDCT and gun fights. Both shows have a lot of yuri undertones, but "Magical Girl Spec-Ops: Asuka" elaborates more on them.
