Sola and Air are both tragic love stories riddled in mystery and supernatural abilities. A very short watch so if you prefer more drawn out anime then perhaps this is not going to be your cup of tea. If you enjoyed the way the writers choose to progress the story on an emotional level in one series then you're going to love it in the other. Similarly, if you hated how the director relied on mystery to keep the shallow love story alive in one anime you'll probably hate it in the other.

Both are pretty good anime drawn around one boy and both have their fair share of action and drama. Sola has a little more action and kanon has a little more drama. Both like talking about hopes and dreams though.

They're both really mysterious and are about a weird girl meeting a special boy.

The plot and characters are all fairly similar. Some of the genres are also the same, making ef ~ a tale of memories very likable, especially if you've seen sola.

Both Anime have simular art style. Both slowly build up to a climax.

Main female characters in both anime are supernatural beings and male characters have mysteries in their past. Similar dramatic plot lines with good romance and minor, but decent action. Also, both anime have wonderful soundtracks.

This series are similar like SOLA, main character is a girl with superpower and SHANA are too.

While sola is rather laid back and there isn't a ton of murders going on, the actual Anime share very similar concepts that become very clear later on. Each character also has their own design.

2 heart touching story. also the ending leaves viewers after thoughts of what might happen after the end.

It has the same feel. It's made by the same creator, Lantis. And it goes by certain themes. Sola is based on the sky, while True Tears is based on...you guessed it...

The story lines for the two series are rather different, but both series use a Gothic art style which help bring out the mood for the two series. The style for Sola uses brighter colors then 11eyes does. The ending for both pieces gives a good cry, and the plot twists help to draw the viewer in. I would go into more depths about the plot twists but going into depth on these plot twists would provide spoilers for the series.

Both animes are very action packed.Furthermore they have plenty of mystery and one male lead surrounded by many girls. Finally there are many supernatural elements that you should get used to them to watch the anime.

Calamity of Night [Sola] and Vampire [Fortune Arterial] are both immortals and have supernatural powers. They will meet a human, and then the story starts... While watching, you will see both anime have the same feel to it, mostly when it comes to the ending. Sola, I feel, has more action while Fortune focus much more on Drama.

Matsuri and Horo share the same playful yet mysterious attitude. The plots both involve a relationship between a supernatural being and a human. Sola's Nakahara Mai (Aono) also appears as a supporting character in Spice and Wolf.

Similarly changes genre throughout, except as it isn't much of a comedy the serious scenes can be taken seriously... also, main characters are similarly supernatural, but they actually make slightly more sense than the title of a 'vampire ninja'. IMO Sola alternates between its genres more gracefully, though, whereas this is more haphazard.

the main heroine's have superpowers both the main hero's are already dead but live of the memory of that person.

Similar theme: strong attachment between people. Supernatural combined with slice of life.

-Both are quite short and have a likable main character. -BOth have this, pleasant vibe about them -And both want to make you get further and further into the anime, until its over

To those seeing this recommendation, I ask thee to be wary as this recommendation is better seen when you have at least completed one of the anime being recommended. Time is truly a mighty adversary to those who dare violate its principles, and the results might be either sweet or catastrophic should one succeed or fail. The nostalgic concept of time is differently portrayed in each series, but essence remains unchanged. Both series try to challenge the flow of time and yield results that could regarded as the opposite of the other.

Both are focused on a ya cast as well as a focus on a mysterious girl who is not what she seems to be and also magical related elements and the mysteries behind it as well too.

Sola is the first anime created by Hayashi Naoki, former employee of Key studios and original creator of the Kanon visual novel. The signature Key formula is unmistakable.

I really like the idea where both main character shares the same goals or work together. specially if the story includes some supernatural fights. in sola, the female is a vampire while in witch craft, shes a witch of course. If you like those kind of concept. you should check these two anime. enjoy!

-Both series are tragic. -Both series have romance that slowly builds while dramatic events happen. -Both series have really small amount of comedy. If you don't like comedy much. -Both series has a character/s that doesn't exist or just an illusion.

Whole your life you've been searching for this single thing. It has become your obsession to find the secret of the Library/Sky. The MC of both Sola and Hitsujikai have been subjected to a certain faith since birth and we start the shows at the point where their stories start to unfold. There are samplings of Drama, but Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai leeches from its Harem specificaly. These shows mix their everyday life student settings with a magical and fantasy undertone. Daitoshokan sells you a comedic school setting, while Sola will hand you some action to keep you watching. If you have any interests in a more pro-active MC, a  read more

Both heroine are supernatural beings have a relationship with a human. Heroines both are playful.

Slice of life anime with supernatural elements and similar atmosphere. Light colors and MCs gazing at the sky a lot, but the MC girl doesn't see the same sky as others - only she sees something mysterious in the sky or in Sola's case can't look at the sky at all.

Both belong in the "our vampires are different" genera, where there is a different take on the vampire, that varies from the norm. Both use Japanese folklore for their bases, each with a slightly different twist.

A particularity of both anime is the inaccessibility to the outdoor. Scenes take place often in hospital. Also, Matsuri reminds me of Rika because of their long hair.

myself is more drama and slice of life, whilst sola has more action and a bit of magic, but both start off with a hint of comedy but turn out to be dark and mind-blowing.

Sola reminded me of Haibane Renmei a lot in terms of artwork and the direction. The settin is also somewhat similar with all the protagonists being half-immortal. The main difference I can see is that Sola has a darker tone than Haibane Renmei.

The result of Sola Project is a team up between Da Capo and Canvas 2, since I watched them both I recommend them

Both offer a twist on the vampire genera.

Here in lies to vampire Anime where the vampires vary from the norm in some way, shape or form. Both turn out to be rather nice Anime to watch, so all that ends well. On top of this, they have simular styles, though one leans more towards red color schemes and the other a more feminine color scheme.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Oakami is more about werewolves, while Sola is about vampires, but the twists that they basically place on the genera are simular, yet in the same token, remain believable. They have a rather innocent tone to the storyline, yet also have a tragic tone underwoven into it.

The characthers kinda remind you of the characters of sola because they look so similar. just that sola has longer episodes. their both great animes
report Recommended by freezeheart
These two anime are simular in the fact that they deal with the supernatural and spin an intriging plot that you don't necisarily easily surmise. Both have vibrant, crisp animation, not to mention detailed designs. The characters also build on you.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
With great power comes great pain. And yet great power means you can protect what is important to you. The character designs for one of the characters is also very similar.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
While the story lines are rather different, there is an air of mystery about them, an unsolved part of the whole matter that while one can try guessing about the ending outcome, unless one has seen them before, done research, or pays close attention, one might not get the jest of what is going on with everything until the very end. The endings are for the most part, unexpected, or with such a twist that it is like wow...

Both have supernatural girls that fight each other, a sister with the brother complex, a male protagonist close to one girl plus lost in his own world and a character that feels guilty for what happened to his/her childhood friend.
