If you want full clarification on why I rank the way I do, read the section in my profile called "otakuism". Under that section I list what each rank is to me and why I would rank a particular anime with that rank.
As for how I found your page, I honestly have no idea now =P. I think I was just randomly clicking through profiles one day and found yours and noticed the Hebrew that was written and I was curious =^_^=.
Hmm, I see what you mean about the "shva" I'm sure I'd need lots of tutoring in order to use it properly...but I do understand how it applies to the particular example you offered.
I also believe I understand what you mean by writing the sound. I believe in Spanish and French they use a plethora of accents to denote particular sounds from the letter the accent is attached to. Technically we're supposed to use it in English too...but as you well know we don't =P. It sounds like the same approach is used in Hebrew too, interesting.
Now I know the Hebrew alphabet..neat! Though...I suppose that's a start if I ever learn the language, and maybe I will some day =D.
By the way...a, e, i, o and u are what we call vowels, and yes they are what give the word it's particular pronunciation beyond the consonants (the other letters =P). Not sure what a "shva" is...but I'm guessing it's along the lines of a vowel too?
I guess you can tell that I am obviously oblivious to even the general differences between Arabic and Hebrew, let alone the more defined differences. I've just seen some script of Arabic before and thought it looked neat compared to the germanic alphabet =^_^=.
I suppose calligraphy in Hebrew or Arabic is somewhat similar to Japanese and Chinese. It's definately more beautiful than English/American. You can't even do calligraphy with our written language =P.
Anyways...just wanted to say that your written language is very appealing to my eye...even if I can't understand it =^_^=.
