The sole female main character, utterly confused and scared about what's happening around her, and a bunch of hot guys with each after her in different ways and in different exciting situations. :> Lovely and enjoyable.

They both have otome game elements to them. The male characters are over the top and the female character feels extremely underwhelming. For some people this niche is amazing. Honestly, this musical rendition of Diabolik Lovers is quite....something.

Both have the same romance, horror, reverse harem, vampire and the same setting where it is set in a school excursively for vampires, dissimilarities are that the female protagonist in one anime is not alone when dealing with vampires, while the female protagonist is all by herself and has to fend off them vampires.

Watch out: both of these series are absolute guilty pleasures. The main character is forced to live with several brothers she has never seen before. As always with (reverse) harems, all the boys want to be with her.

Similarities: Both have the same reverse harem. Both female characters have the first name Yui. Both same female characters found themselves having to deal with rowdy boys. Dissimilarities: One has a full 25 mins duration while the other was only limited to 12 mins. One was more of a horror genre, while the other has a slice of life.

When I watched, immediately comes to my mind Ouran Koukou Host Club image. First the "Prince", then the "Intellectual", after that the "Big guy" and finally the "Childish" one with a "teddy bear" in his hands. What's the difference? This is not a club, they are vampires. Maybe I forget the twins... but well, until now is the same.

Reverse harem that was adapted from an Otome Visual Novel. Both Hakuouki and Diabolik Lovers deal with vampire or vampire-like people who have taken interest in our main female heroine( her blood!!! or bloodline per say). One series is based on Japanese history during Edo to the fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate while other is not. Both series has beautiful bishies + talented voice actors too. In Diabolik Lovers, the main heroine saw herself was in danger and was able to escape/hide until she was found. In Hakuouki, the bishies protect her but she can't do much to help them.

Both are focused around dark vampire stories and both share very attractive vampires and some dashes of romance here and there since vampires are of course supposed to be sexy and both have a gothic stylization to it as well too.

now you may think these have nothing in common; but if you love anime based on games and visual novels then these are for you. the psychological genre is very prominent throughout both of these also.

- Both originate from dating sim games - Lots of bishonen boys with different personalities - Dark-themed supernatural anime, Obey me has demons, while DL has vampires - The boys in both are all brothers with complicated relationships between some - Episodes are shorter than usual anime ones

If you're into the style of Diabolik Lovers, but could do without the sexual harassment, I recommend Ozmafia. Ozmafia has the same art style as Diabolik Lovers, and if you'd want to play the games, both of them are very dark.

Well, both involves a girl in the middle of 6 guys..a reverse harem for all who don't know. But whereas Diabolik Lovers seems dark and evil, Uta no Prince-sama seems pure and light, well, if you don't mind the seiyuu of the guys singing the songs themselves, then go for it!! *their singing is not bad plus one of the seiyuu is Mamoru Miyano~

They talks about vampires and both anime has bloody scenes, if you liked Shiki you might as well like this one too!

Both are shows with Gothic and Victorian influences. Each show has a predominately male cast and the shows are marketed towards young women. Both shows contain dark mystery plot lines with supernatural elements. While Black Butler uses demons as their creature of choice, Diabolik Lovers uses vampires. Diabolik Lovers leans towards the sexual side while Black Butler is much more violent and gorey.

Our main female finds herself in a new environment. She now lives in a huge mansion with eccentric people. Inu x Boku involves servants and ayakashi while Diabolik Lovers has Vampire bishounen. In one series she knows how to take care of herself with little help, speaks her mind, and a tsundere. The other series she seems to defend herself but only time will tell. Both series has unique art style and great voice actors too.

The main heroines are very similar, most of the time their only dialogue is the names of their supporting cast. They also both have an abundance in male supporting characters.

fantasy, a lot of guys protecting the mc, and a vulnerable mc

Both are based off of Otome games. Kuro to Kin is more mature content than Diabolik Lovers, but still good.

both anime about shy girl getting surounded and taken care of by vampire boys

male vampires, very different female leads however

- lots of boys - short episodes - harem - lOTS OF BOYS - they're both bad so you can laugh a lot

Both MC girls are stupid, naive and can't resist priest/vampires. They threat girls like a toys. Only defense is repetition "yamete kudasai".

Both are short mini anime with a harem of 1 girl and a lot of boys.
report Recommended by Chento
Both are a reverse harem (a girl surrounded by attractive men). The major difference is that in Hiiro no Kakera they are trying to protect the girl and in Diabolik Lovers they make advances on her.
report Recommended by kyorika
In both of the stories the guys are complete douche bags. I would not call these crazy abusive rape concepts a romance...that's twisted. The girls are wimpy and submissive. Both are short so you wont hate yourself for watching them.

One women surrounding by sexy hot men. Reverse Harem!! Similar art style.

Relationship between a human and a vampire that some might mistake for a romantic one but instead the human is just used as a livestock and kept for blood.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Creepy guys in a creepy house compete over who will get to kill/torture a blonde loli like she's a tasty snack. Both are extremely edgy shows.

Its about a girl who is surrounded my men who seem to care about her a lot. But the girl in Diabolik is a pushover and lets all the men push her around. In Fruits Basket she learns to speak up for what she wants and gos and gets it.

Both are reverse harems, both have a dark theme and both involve blood and fantasy. Both really good; diabolik lovers a must see based off of a video game.
report Recommended by ShinigamiSlayer
Both shows take genres that are otherwise inoffensive (panty fighters for Master of Martial Hearts, Reverse Harems for Diabolik Lovers) and add shock value to keep the viewer entertained. Both are also considered to be the absolute nadir of anime by many. If you like one, chances are you will like the other, since you clearly have a taste in anime that destroy the soul.
