Karneval (TV)

Both series feature two protagonists—one white-haired, the other black-haired—in a sort of guarded-guardian relationship. As well, both white-haired protagonists have more to them than meets the eye. The characters of Karneval and K [Project] interact within alternate realities wherein mystical occurrences are possible. The two series share the quality of having fantastical aspects in play throughout their progressions. Characters' powers are unique, and there's no shortage of futuristic gadgets and sci-fi elements. In conjunction with this environment are paramount forces and organizations that engage in power struggles as connections between characters are gradually revealed. 

While both series are focused on different premises, they share the theme of fantasy and abnormality that are not often seen in the real world. Both series' main male protagonist also have somewhat similar personality although Nai in Karneval tends to be more shy. Nonetheless they often tries to put others before themselves. Both series involves different organizations with objectives. They also have comedy, drama, action, and emotional moments in between some of the episodes.  

both have a white haired protagonist (with a black haired "friend"),involved with some mysterious power and organization fighting the evil. 

Both anime display some plot similarities like, for instance: - A Powerful Organization (Pandora/Circus) & some weird monsters. - An alternative fantasy World, where PH is set in an alternative Victorian Era and Karneval in a Modern Steampunk World. - A blonde happy go lucky main character (Oz/Yogi) that apparently has no problems, but later on some secrets are revealed. IMO, I like PH better because of certain elements you do not find in Karneval: While PH & Karneval start with a happy feeling, PH soon becomes heart wrenching,leading to a profound character development and an intricate twisted plot, while Karneval manages to keep the happy feeling by shortening the drama scenes and making soft transitions. Still, both are anime that heavily rely on the message of true friendship and that is the central theme: "your friend is your family, you will protect them, they will protect you" is a quote that could define both plots, even if they are dealt in a completely opposite manner. Also, in both mangas the males are predominately more well developed than the females. Take for instance, Alice (PH) & Tsukumo (Karneval) which are badass, but frequently overshadowed by the males´s strong and meaningful presence. In general, I would say if You like one of these anime, you'll certainly enjoy the other, they both have gorgeous artwork and most of all, very likable characters.  read more 

Both series take place in a futuristic future society. There are supernatural phenomenons and mysteries. Both main characters are fugitive criminals. A secret society/organization is after them.  

Similarities: Both involve people with special abilities and secret organizations going after evil elements. Both have characters with very optimistic and artistic personalities. Both have the same action genre and the art of both anime are a bit too fancy. Dissimilarities: One has an extra supernatural, comedy genre and a yaoi element in it, while the other has sci-fi and school as its extra genre. One has an extra ecchi element, while one doesn't. The MC in one anime is boy who's more like a damsel-in-distress, while the other anime also stars a boy but he however, can kick ass. 

The feeling of the Bungou Stray Dogs anime feels a lot like Karneval. Also, the main characters are somewhat "naive" and just go with the flow. The art look alike, as well as the plot (two different organisations with quircky characters and superpowers) Lastly, the voice actor of Dazai is the same as Yogi's from Karneval. The characters in both anime are lovable and somewhat unique.

- Similar art styles - MC is a little boy - Lots of bishounen everywhere who do their best to protect MC - Both series give the same kind of mysterious feeling. 

Very similar colorful feeling. Both have good stories that revolve not only around the main characters, but those around them  

both main characters have a great bonds between them both main characters join to the circus which is unusual Circus. in both anime, there's a lot of members in the circus and possess special abilities. both anime provides a mysterious atmosphere both anime are colorful with great story set.  

The two stories has a similar companionship between the 2 MC's of each series, with a strong bond that grows over time. The two series have amazing colorful art work and character design The MC's have a goal the want to reach throughout the story Both MC's have a laid back and strong aura that they display Both series have Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Supernatural elements to them 

The things that Servamp and Karneval share are: 1. A cast of lovable and quirky characters 2. Bishounen overload~! 3. The main cast all have a close bond with each other and fight together for a common goal. 4. Colorful and crisp art 5. Gorgeous character designs. 6. Smooth and fluid animation. 7. Drama(Karneval is more light hearted but does have it's share of dramatic episodes and character backgrounds) Overall, Servamp is darker and more violent while Karneval has more comedy and is more lighthearted, however, if you enjoyed one i'm sure you'll enjoy the other too! 

If you like one you should liek the other ! Both have : - Great graphism - A shonen-ai ambiance - Protagonist : A mysterious kind boy who is wanted by the "dark and light" side (Karneval : Nai, Uragiri : Yuki) - His best friend (a boy again) is on the dark side. (Karneval: Karoku, Uragiri : Kanata) - The hero have protectors. - Cute animals - Monsters 

The atmosphere is alike in these series, but Karneval is more bright, while Baccano is dark. If you like this anime you shoud try and watch Baccano)  

Both of these anime have a cheery circus motif that hides darker elements underneath. Also, both have the innocent white-haired, red-eyed child character (Shiro in Deadman Wonderland and Nai in Karneval). 

In both series, there's a fantasy like feeling with a more sophisticated style of its artwork. The main male protagonist is a young boy; although they have very different personalities. However, it focuses on his relationship with others as well as the people he meets along the well. Both series also gives off a gothic like feeling with its artwork and also a small sense of mystery. 

Both are niche anime that scratch that itch for a story-based anime with a fun and colorful cast of characters that drives it home. Also, both are set in a semi (but not completely fantastical) non-realistic universe that you're sure to enjoy. 

Both series are highly focused on lots of suspense,action and thriller drama elements in it as well as lots of cute bishie character designs and artworks to look at. 

- Both have a young boy as the mc - Both have samurai/ninjas or similar - both lots of action and fight scenes - both have background themes of tragedy and revenge - both have moments where you want to cry BOTH ARE TOTALLY UNDER APPRECIATED! There anime are fantastic for all ages. 

both have a disease in which a human becomes some kind of weird animal like monster, varuga and gastrea. and they both have people fighting against it. 

both are colourful both have a serious guy who "looks" after a cutesy guy both have hints of shounen-ai-ness ;) 

A naive male protagonist and a tsundere-type male protagonist work for an organization that fights evil supernatural beings. A lot of focus on friendship and some added BL subtext.  

Both are colorful Both have supernatural and fantasy elements Both have really nice art In terms of art and fantasy, they are similar, but that's all Kamigami no Asobi is a reverse harem, and Karneval is focused on some young people who are trying to protect people from evil to say it blunt without spoilers.  

Although both series have different premises, they have fantasy themes involving a main male protagonist who gets involved with supernatural beings. In both series, there is action, drama, and comedy. There's also this sense of mystery regarding the origins/settings of the story. The main male protagonist from both series also have similar personalities. They are also characters of high interest by other characters in the series as he seems to have hidden origins.  

Similarities: Both have the same supernatural, action, and shounen genres, a yaoi element in them, and involve young boys with special abilities. Dissimilarities: One has a second season, while the other doesn't. The MC in one anime is a damsel (or boy) in distress, while the MC in the other anime is the one who kicks ass. One anime has a very corny ending, while this one... you'll just have to wait and see. 

Similarities: Both have the same character's with special abilities. Both have the same kind of genres Both involves characters who fight against evil. Dissimilarities: In one anime the characters fought against people who either wants to manipulate them or destroy them, while the other anime, the characters fight against evil. One has a particular character who can dispel the powers of another character, while the other one hasn't.  

In both these anime, there are creepy apparently soulless creatures that are difficult to defeat: the Varuga from Karneval and the Homunculus-type creatures from Fullmetal Alchemist. Also, in both anime, there is a strong bond between the two main characters and a tendency to go from bright and cheerful to very dark. 

In both series, there's a similar atmosphere with an English like tone with majestic backgrounds. The main characters are dressed elegantly and have a sense of style. The main male protagonist also seems tough, independent, but also cold to people at various times. Both series has fantasy elements as well as comedy, drama, and sense of innocence at various stances between characters. 

both are very colorful adventure stories with some angst about a group of diverse peoplle "protecting" a helpless and cute main character while he/she has a love-hate relationship with the toughest one of them. also it's similar in length and both have open endings sadly. 

The animations are both very good, both have exciting plots and the main character is out to look for someone from their past time. Also the main is introduced to an orginisation that deals with mysterical beings and the main duo in both anime's show similar characteristics! Looks AND personality.  

Both have similar art style. Both seem to be colourful yet dark with a story line with drags you in 

When watching Karneval, I got the Inuyasha vibe from it. With Inuyasha and Nai being half human, and Gareki's past is similar to Kikyo's past. They both have to do with demons (although in Karneval, they are called Varuga). All in all, they are somewhat similar, and you will get the Inuyasha vibe from Karneval. 

Both series have smiliar, colorful art styles. There's a smiliar atmosphere, also supernatural elements. "Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo" is about friendship and fighting against evil, just like "Karneval". There's also a mystery connecting this two anime. In my opinion, both are really good and it's worth seeing.
