Both manga focus on bands (in fact, Nana has two) and the interpersonal relationships between band members, as well as showing some of the struggles to become successful in the music industry (Given is just starting to touch on this topic, while it is much more important in Nana). Be prepared with tissues when reading either one, because at times both contain tragedy, grief, hinted-at toxic relationships, and implied depression. 

Given is cute and yoru to asa is straight yaoi with a good plot. Both of these are love stories between people in the music band. 

Both stories share similar emotionally driven music and bands especially the bonds between the band members and acquaintances and a downbeat tone to the stories with moments of humor and wholesomeness as well to balance it out from time to time  

They're both very cute and sweet yaoi's that just make your heart hurt.  

- shounen ai - the mc started noticing and helping the potential lover as friends at first then later got attached to them - given already got an anime adaptation - wholesome story 

Both manga share the same theme - different people from different walks of life, bonding over their love for music.  

Both are good BL manga with similar characters and have a music theme around them. The story is the main focus and they both do a great job pacing the romance so it isn't too rushed. 

Both the manage are written by the same author (Kizu Natsuzi) that's why the art style as well as stories have the same look and feel. Links focus on building relations and realizing mutual feelings for each other. On the other hand, Given is about finding the true meaning of feelings and more through friendship with a little help from Music^^. Both are must reads. 

Both have a pretty soft and gentle feeling, and deal with two boys getting together and overcoming/accepting loss (though Given is more for the previous boyfriend, and in BnS it's familial). Given is more driven in its story where BnS meanders a bit, but both are quite comforting to read. 

Both are music-centred same-sex romances. Both have elements of songwriting and musical passion as well. 

A distant young boy finds himself becoming close to a guitar-strumming hottie and the two of them eventually fall in love with each other 

Music is the basis of both these manga, through which two young boys bond with each other. 

Both these adorable BLs revolve around two boys (the uke is a loner but the seme crashes his way into the uke's life) and their mutual love for music.
