Blood, gore and page after page filled with action. If you like your horror manga filled with action and unexpected plot twits I have good news for you. Both of these manga center around involved in sort of 'cell phone game' gone bad. The only one to survive is the last man standing? If you liked one of these manga I am sure you will like the other one too!

In both manga high school class participates in a game, which people life is at stake. Games are go by their own rules and they have masters of the game. In both we have different characters and interesting plot

Both are survival games based on mobile phones.

Two of the most banal, brainless survival game manga there are. Schoolchildren get gruesome orders from some higher power via text message. Expect a ton of depraved acts and some of the most revolting sex scenes put on paper, all the while adults and common sense seem to be nonexistent.

almost the same in main points : school themed. obey orders and follow rules or die. dark atmosphere and mind games. signal 100 has a better character depth.

Survival games featuring mobile phones. They have the take some task or play games and if the fail they will die.
reportRecommended by BlindNoldor
Both manga focus on a group of teenage school students who end up playing a twisted game with their lives at the stake, and must uncover the secret behind it before they are all killed. While the details of the death games are a bit different, both manga have a similar vibe, as well as similar art and characters.

Fear! Deception! Mystery! Are you into psychological anime? These are just the ones for you. Ousama game is about the japanese game: Ousama Game. Everyone must do what the ousama(king) tells them to. But what if the Ousama's failure penalty is death? A virus that kills so many people the night it's released that night is named "the Christmas Massacre". Only two clues as to what it is and how to stop it: the mysterious woman, Maya and the code "Bloody Monday". Fujimaru Takagi, a second year high schooler is asked to decode a file connected to this case. When all goes wrong.

A group of high schoolers are suddenly forced to take part in a psychotic death game an must work together or against each other to survive. With lots of over the top gore and goofy death scenes present.

A mobile in one hand, and the lives of people in the other - this is what's common between both these manga.

Similarities: - Forced to play - Played on phone/gaming system - Have to do what it tells you everyday - Die if stopped playing - 3rd 'god-like' party Differences: In OUSAMA GAME.. - Dares - Die if you don't obey In ONLINE: THE COMIC.. - Games similar to videogames - Die if you don't play everyday

Similar scenario: Teens find themselves having to do unethical things because of someone or something that causes them to do so. In Ousama Game, it's a "game" transmitted by SMS, and in Dead Tube, it's an online video website. Both mangas assume that any character can die at any time. The pledges they must make are often very unhealthy and are most of the time related to death or sex. So, don't read while eating.

Both are mangas that involve a certain mystery about someone, however, the second (Yokokuhan) is more in a Code Geass footprint without an entire nation involved... A revenge investigated in a more modern era where a Prophet speaks and the thing happens. Anyway, I highly recommend it because I'm pretty sure that whoever read one will like the other a lot.<portuguese>Ambos são mangás que envolvem um certo mistério acerca de alguém, porém, o segundo (Yokokuhan) é mais numa pegada de Code Geass sem uma nação inteira envolvida... Uma vingança investigada numa era mais moderna onde um Profeta fala e a coisa acontece. Enfim, recomendo bastante  read more

Taking place in a high school (bc which horror manga is complete without dumbass teenagers in a school setting?) both manga feature a king, who is in charge of a game that basically decides the lives of the participants of the game (aka the students). Taking part is mandatory, because those who don't participate, suffer serious consequences. If you're a fan of the genre and are willing to overlook poor characters, little to no plot development, lots of plot holes and questionable decisions made by the characters, then both manga will prove to be entertaining for you.

In both the manga the whole cast get messages on their phones. In Ousama Game the members of the class are given an order to fulfill in 24 hours, but if they don't they die. In Rule: Shoumetsu Kyoushitsu the class have to follow rules they get through texts, but if they fail to follow these rules they will also meet their demise. So the two are very similar in concept, but that's not all. The main characters are also pretty much alike each other. The main villains have similar vibes about them.

Bunch of students are trapped in deadly game, with plenty of gory results.

Gore, blood and somtimes even really scary things! The main character doesn't know what to do because he is surounded by people dying.... Will he find a solution or will he suffer the same fate? If you like these kind of stories with a lot of development and mysterious elements, then these manga are perfect for you!

Again a Game, which the Characters didn't wanted to play And they will Die if they don't do, what they need to do And they dont know who is giving the Orders to them to do this

-Both deal with the "King's Game" concept. -Both stories deal with a classroom that get a weird text saying they are in a game. -Both have all the students turning against each other in order to not get punished by the "King". -Both have that eerie feel to the stories as you keep reading Only difference is that Ousama Game is shonen and people die if they don't do the command that the "King" tells them to do while in Arisa, if people don't obey the "King's" command, they are just injured badly (so it's more softer than Ousama Game) and plus it's a shojo with a mystery to  read more

"Remember, the king's orders are absolute." In both series a group of people are forces to play a life and death version of the King's Game.

In a similar vein to King's Game, Touhyou Game is about students that are forced to play a popularity contest. At first it was set up by the class clown as a bonding exercise, but then it is discovered that the person who loses the round or doesn't vote will die in a brutal accident/suicide.

Survival game defeating enemies or solving puzzles. Find and kill the king before you get killed. If You Can't

Series of deaths so mysterious they might be of supernatural origin, the protagonist and his kinda love interest try to solve what is causing the killings.

Both manga start with someone suffering an awfully gruesome fate after receiving a mysterious text message.

Similar premise of group of students being forced into a dangerous "game" which a villain mastermind has created, and where bad decisions have gory results.
reportRecommended by abystoma2
Group of students are suddenly facing mortal threat they are almost powerless against, and quickly turn against each other as a lot of them die in gory way in quick succession. Both of these manga are more about the shock value than the story.

A test of survival that includes many deaths and a LOT of gory scenes. Albeit Ousama Game starting as a game and Innocent W as a hunt, they both end up having to fight for a chance to live and even friends turn on their own friends. Both works are not realistic at all when it comes to human relationships or just character writing, but offer that kind of senseless violence and edgy fanservice which serve fine if you are in that mood. Innocent W is probably the worse one of the two as things progress too fast and almost every character is crazier than  read more

They are both sort of psychological-thriller type reads with a supernatural element. If you were really into watching the psychological deterioration of Light and the battle between Light and L you would probably like Ousama Game. When you look it up though, make sure you get the right one, because there's another manga called Ousama Game that's yaoi. O_O
