Things I look for in a good anime:
1. PLOT DEVELOPMENT.
I particularly love plot twists (that make sense) and good endings (which frankly and sadly most anime do not possess).
2. INTELLIGENT CHARACTERS.
This is not a must, but their presence usually guarantees thrilling plot.
3. HIGH-QUALITY ARTWORK.
That's why I don't want to pick up Dragon Ball Z no matter how many people recommend it. Call me superficial if you will, but visual satisfaction is one of the most important elements in anime.
4. SUBTLY WRITTEN LINES.
No preaching. No narm. Spelling out the moral of the story downgrades an anime into some kiddy cartoon. As the Chinese idiom goes: there is no need to add in legs when drawing a snake.
5. MINIMAL FANSERVICE.
I don't hate it, as long as it does not affect the storytelling.
6. HUMOUR.
Again, this is not a must, but hey. No one would mind having a good laugh.

10. Total Recall This is Arnold Schwarzenegger at his best. Fantastic over the top action with a proper serving of science fiction intrigue. This dystopian future has very enjoyable campiness about it with Arnold's signature one-liners.
9. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Quite possibly the greatest western ever made. Set during the American Civil War Clint Eastwood is a crooked bounty hunter that stumbles upon a treasure. The adventure the three men(the good, the bad, and the ugly) as they travel across the US with them constantly trying to undermine one another.
8. The Pink Panther: A Shot in the Dark This Mr. Magoo type comedy stars Peter Sellers as a detective who is a masterful idiot. The story revolves around a murder in a house and Mr. Sellers haplessly goes about trying to solve the case, all the while driving the chief inspector insane.
7. The Shadow Alec Baldwin is an evil man with psychic powers when he is captured and is shown the error of his ways and goes to New York where he attempts to redeem himself. He becomes the Shadow confusing his enemies leaving only his shadow behind. There's a campiness about the Shadow that's very fun to watch and having a hero with a villain's laugh is just awesome.
6. Army of Darkness It's Groovy! Bruce Campbell fights against the forces of darkness in this ridiculous plot where he travels back in time to save king Arthur and his kingdom from the evils of the land. The corniness abounds and the hero bumbles about making bad situations worse.
5. Tremor 2 Aftershocks Let's blow up some underground monsters! The story switches between action and horror throughout the movie, it's a ton of fun to watch.
4. Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan A slow burn that continually builds the tension and develops the characters and story to a height that few movies can reach. The dialog in the movie is fantastic quoting from Moby Dick and The Tale of Two Cities.
3. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi I only put 1 of the 3 originals in here for the sake of putting more movies in here Return of the Jedi is my favorite of the 3. It starts off the grim fate of Solo and ends with redemption of Darth Vader. The storytelling is masterful; one can think of the three movies as three acts to a play.
2. Frailty A excellent horror movie. The less you know about it the better.
1. Die Hard The abundance of sarcasm and general epicness that exudes from John Mclane is mindblowing. Hans Grubber is one of the best villains of all time he's so much fun to watch with such arrogance, class, and intelligence. So much fun and so exciting to watch.
I've been reading mostly, I have finished up on a number of manga recently. Kenichi and Skeet Dance were great, but didn't end well. While Claymore and The World God Only Knows were very good and ended well. A few others as well not really worth mentioning just finishing them to finish them. I've read a number of Dean Koontz novels recently the best being Winter Moon though I'm only halfway through.
Deadpool is awesome. I've thoroughly enjoyed the character, unfortunately the stories rise and wane because of the various authors, never the less I'm pumped for the Deadpool movie.
I recently watched Akame ga Kill!, seems like your cup of tea I think you'll like it.
As for other things that have been going on. I was working on my car this week. A new card shop open near where I live so I've been able to play Magic the Gathering more often. Ooo, when I go to church recently there's this one year old that will latch on to me as soon as I get there and fall asleep during the service. So adorable. ^^
What have you been Scanning?
No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die."
Golden Eye is one of the great games of it's time that set precedences for the future. It is a first person shooter for the N64 and it is one of the few really good movie to video game adaptations. My brothers, friends, and I played this game whenever we got together (later we would play Perfect Dark the successor to Golden Eye). Seeing Pierce Brosnan; 007 play Golden Eye was just so cool for me to see.
