Old shounen from the times when violence was regular and usual for manga made for shounen demographic. Pure-hearted protagonist gets involved with a blonde-haired boy that has some unusual moral standards. By getting involved with this boy the protagonist ends up having to fight with monsters employing a kind of supernatural ability that lets him fight the monsters. The protagonist also changes from a wimp to a buffed man. Both titles are cult classic. 

Classic manga based on immense power and manliness. Great reading. 

Both series contain a headstrong protagonist and an arch rival, who in one way or another ruined their pasts, so now protagonists seek revenge and are trying to find a way to stop them. The atmosphere in both mangas is similar when it comes to battles and will to fight as well as mythological themes. 

Both have clever fights with lots of strategy and characters with crazy powers. Each HxH arc has a considerably different theme, just like the differente JoJo parts. 

Both are inspired by Fist of The North Star. Sakigake!! Otokojuku starts off as a gag manga with it quickly transitioning as a battle series with a very good tournament arc. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is very horror-based but contains the same masculine tone in parts 1-3. If you like one then you'll more than likely enjoy the other. 

It would seem Hirano Kouta was deeply inspired by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and perhaps unconsciously managed to grab a few things over to his giant, Hellsing, such as the principles based on which vampires work, posing and even a few scenes. Regardless of these somewhat apparent similarities, the two works are completely different in style and nature. 

Both have characters named after hard rock and metal bands and have fights that go on forever. 

Both stories act as the origin of their family lineage; carrying an emphasis on destiny, martial arts, masculinity and tragic story telling.

Protagonist is a young man whose family member gets kill by a vampire/demon with vampiric properties, so the protagonist goes on a journey to train so they could stop this vampire/demon. During the journey they also find about a breathing technique that would make them stronger and master it. 

Both are decades old series published in Weekly Shounen Jump with simillar art and plot. Both use magic and have badass main characters that don't only care about themselves.  

Same old american comic art style. Compelling dark supernatural plot. Both protagonist are looking for the main antagonist who is causing everyone's tragedy. 

Both mangas have three clearly common basics. I) Battles. As a main resource all characters in both series return to fighting each time they must overcome an enemy or face obstacles. Also, Ryuko and Jonathan have a powerful fighting spirit and both are well skilled. II) Vengeance. The easiest reason to make a character fight. Both heroes have a desire to avenge their father. Jonathan wants to annihilate Dio Brando, the vampire who killed his father and plan to rule the world. Meanwhile Ryuko wants to discover her father murderer and take revenge. III) Peculiarity. Both works have really weird moments and things. First one strange thing occurs and then an even more bizarre thing happens. JoJo is a well finished work, whereas Kill la Kill manga lacks its ending. Same author expressing similar tone of heroism against supernatural forces although Baoh is centered on science fiction while Phantom Blood is based on horror. 

Did you love JoJo for mystical, archeological, fantastical, over-the-top thrills? Then look no further than Miquiztli: Reaper of the Sun! Each story arc is brilliantly written, drawn, and executed. Don't sleep on this amazing series. It will not disappoint, and all your expectations will be exceeded 

Both feature manly characters, interesting and unique themes, and a great sense of comedy.  

Both are for people who appreciate craziness. Along with action, monsters, horror, megalomaniacs, and craziness. And more random craziness. JoJo has a longer story. 

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure & Kinnikuman are manly series which are still being published today. Both of these manga mark the debut of their current long running status; bearing multiple sequels and spin-offs to their franchise. Kinnikuman is more childish in tone with its wacky character designs but can be dark at violent at times especially when its enemies include satanic figures and corrupt Gods. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is more horror based but can be as ludicrous as Kinnikuman. Other similarities include: very bizarre events, gritty battles, shonen friendship and the family passage of the next generation of heroes. 

While these manga have different genres of horror and science fiction, both series contain characters and events inspired by Fist of The North Star including manly heroics, tragic origins, dying friends, violent battles, and monstrous villains. Lastly, both heroes Jonathan Joestar and Blue follow the belief of enduring tragedies and embracing their kind spirit. 

These two manga series are filled to the brim with everything that's related to vampirism. Pivotal element of each story, even though both of them differ from each other a lot in many ways, is vampires themselves, presented as a threat to humanity and overall righteousness. They also offer graphic, but a rational amount of gore and horror elements, so that kind of scenes can appear without distracting the readers from the main storyline.
