The Horizon has a very dark, psychological, and philosophical way of storytelling, similar to punpun. It’s very gritty and doesn’t shy away from reality, but also contains a hopeful message.

Both are stories filled with the philosophy of life, death, and the meaning of existence. They do this both by the character's outlook on their hopeless situation, and the subtle hope gain from the company of another. Both are about a pair of kids traveling down a path which is certain to end, and the significance of that journey. Note: the horizon is much more graphic and perhaps more tragic than girls last tour, so only a good rec if you enjoy tragedies and contemplating the human condition in the wake of restless sleep.

Both stories deal with children, experiencing and trying their best to survive in a world, waged by war. The point of both works is much more about the ups and down of the mental state of the cast, and their thoughts while they do their respective journeys, and both works have peculiar, somehow rough but very emotionally intense art-style.

Made by the same author, both the main character are really empty, the side characters are all really well written, the artstyle and narrative are really great, a difference between these 2 is that The Boxer has a lot more dialogues and more wordy than The Horizon, it also not only focuses on the protagonist but there are still a lot more interesting haracters yet to come

They are both Manhwa's with unique styles that present deep themes. They are both also quick reads. I also have both of them rated about a 8/10.

Both containing really heavy and dark issues. Really intricate in their own way of telling their story. In my opinion both are a must read if you enjoy dark themed mangas.

Both series have a very psychological/philosophical focus, and lead you to contemplate on topics and themes that deal with the heavy side of human existence.
reportRecommended by Benitobandito
Both deal with questions such as what defines humanity, why people keep moving forward, how people deal with gruesome reality, and what it means to connect with one another. Both stories are also told through story arcs about the places the characters travel and the people they interact with. Finally, both stories are open-ended thematically; they don't explicitly tell the audience how they should interpret the events of their story arcs.
reportRecommended by SAniyoukoso
The main characters journey through a beautiful yet unforgiving world, meeting and losing people close to them. Their interactions with various people make the audience think what it means to connect with one another, learn from experience, and move forward, among other philosophical themes. Each story arc pertains to different people and places the protagonist interacts with. The Horizon is shorter and darker in tone, but if you enjoy To Your Eternity, you will surely like it.

Similar in that they both have children in very bad situations were they have to think of how to escape/overcome the situation.
