Both have the same underlying plot of being the son of a serial killer. Although the artstyle is different but both don't shy away from showing violence and grotesque scenes. There is more than enough thrill to keep the reader engaged.

Parents who were involved with shady/criminal matters somehow, are the trigger for their children to become mentally unstable as time passed. Great psychological drama manga!

Both stories involve a protagonist, originally meek and kind, who suddenly has to deal with another form of themselves, who is violent; their existence to the original "them" is intimidating and terrifying. Their alternate ego begins to take over the parts of their own life they took for granted.

The common concept of these manga works is the unbeknownst protagonist, searching for the reasons behind the events taking place in the present time. While Kimi ga Bokura wo Akuma to Yonda Koro (Akuma) deals with amnesia due to seemingly unknown reasons, Shinai naru Boku e Satsui wo Komete (Shinai) has a more intricate plot, revolving around Dissociative Personality Disorder (frequently misconceived as Schizophrenia). While reading Akuma I couldn't help but think I was reading a story by the same author as Shinai (albeit not) - the motives of the main characters for having the desire to unfold the truth are identical, and so is  read more

Both have a overarching mystery and thrilling elements with many twists & explorations of humanity. Both rely on misguiding the readers perception and introduce each works genre to fresher ideas; being a psychological/murder mystery and death game it feels constantly unexpected despite following cliches. Only differing in setting and supporting characters.

Pretty gory and dark seinen manga. They both have a great story which have big elements of mystery. There are also some nudity and stuff like that. Overall both great and interesting stories and if you are a fan of either one then you should definitely check out either one.

How does it feel like when another personality overrules your decisions and takes matter in its own hands, capturing you inside your own body while having few to no memories of what happened in the meantime? These manga will make you keep reading for more if you're interested in this subject. *Both are Seinen therefore some sexual scenes aren't avoidable. <>Shinai naru Boku e Satsui wo Komete plays with lots of time changes and double personality switches, Amon: Devilman Mokushiroku is one series of chapters with Amon in charge instead of Akira.

A tragic occurrence in the past has shifted the personalities and visions on how the main characters see life. Those scars have left a mark that doesn't ever leave, and cause them to become a psychopath who often does not know what's good and bad anymore, only their own goals are what's important to them. <>Shinai naru Boku e Satsui wo Komete is more mysterious than Jagaaaaaan, with a murder revenge plot, Jagaaaaaan is more focused on monsters and exterminating them.

Both stories have the same mature theme involved in them. They go pretty deep into the psychological genre and the protagonist both go through some sort of past trauma.

So one of these is a psychological thriller/ mystery and one is a supernatural action series - but here me out! While reading these two series, I often felt a similar vibe/ mood to them. They share the mystery tag. Both deal with a protagonist who wants to find out the truth about a dangerous, obscure situation he gets thrown into. There are similar characters like: - the black-haired, analytical thinking protagonist, who is hunted by other people for various reasons - the best friend, who stays loyal to him - the female police officer, who has her own secrets and motivations We also have many plottwists in both mangas, which  read more

Both works feature a protagonist who is drawn into a world of thrills, crime and intrigue due to events outside of their control, but rather than being swept away they make a decision to take a stand and push on forward out of their own volition. These are mystery stories where nothing is ever clear cut and one can never know who can be trusted. Both series feature interesting set of characters with peculiar quirks and art style is very pleasant to look at.

Both manga's have a plot based on serial killers. The way uncover the mysteries is quite similar although Museum is a bit more pragmatic with its plot. They both have great art and similar genres (crime, thriller and mystery) if you want to be fully invested in a manga u should give them a try, almost every chapter is exciting and will have u at the edge of your seat.

In both cases, the main character commits a crime which he tries to hide from many people by using all sorts of subterfuges, while being entangled in the criminal world against his will
