While different in a lot of respects like tone, art style, execution, etc I think these two manga have similar themes on immortality, finding a purpose, and being human. While To Your Eternity has a more obvious positive arc on making friends and doing good, Houseki no kuni is more psychological, has an intriguing post apocalyptic setting and has body horror elements

Both stories follow long lived beings who lives among humanity and how the memories of their companions speak to the extended shelf life of the human experience. There are action and fantasy elements in both mangas but it's the quaint passage of time that ties all the stories together.

Both are very unique mangas. They both have action (guns, swords, although there are greater, and more supernatural powers in Fumetsu no Anata e), explore different environments through adventure (the mc is always on the run/running into danger), and have a goal/mission that drives the narrative. They give off similar feelings of action and adventure, as well as satisfaction. There is also romance in both, although it is more one sided in Fumetsu no Anata e.

magical, relaxing, easy going yet heartwarming atmosphere with a wanderer as the main character. Both cases have an enormous world with so many secrets. it interesting to note that mushishi focus more on the events that are found by the wanderer while fumetsu focus more on the wanderer path.

Grand existential adventure action manga set in medieval times that speaks to the human condition with strong interpersonal relationships. Vinland Saga is 100% more violent though.

An alien like creature lands on Earth and slowly but surely starts to learn about the human race. So in that term, these stories are rather similar. However, what these creatures really are, is unique to both stories. There might be some more similarities as well, like how some character communicates with humans and what it learns from them. Both are really well written.

Both works have characters with supernatural abilities, they use a lot of dialogues and information to understand the characters, but there are also action and fight scenes, both have characters that are usually minors involved in dangerous and mature situations. Both mangas touches dark topics in a non-fast way and i think if you looking more stories like that you can look the other show.

Both start as a detached observership following the walk of a single traveller through surreal worlds with gentle philosophical undertones, until character developments take over.

Both stories are set in an alternative fantasy world and the two stories feel similar to each other. If you enjoyed children of the whale you'll definitely to your eternity.

-Both deal with immortality(with both MC's being one) -Both have obstacles regarding the consequences of immortality attacking mortals -Both have the MC's travel to a new location and explore new people/towns Ningyo is a lot more episodic in nature while Fumetsu builds up from last adventure. Unfortunately, Ningyo was cut short due to other projects (so no proper end) ,while Fumetsu is a long-running manga (which may have a proper conclusion in the future).

Both are about immortal main characters going on a journey. People come and go, there are two main companions in Majo no Shinzou whereas Fumetsu no Anata e switches around. Majo no Shinzou is definitely more lighthearted than Fumetsu no Anata e, but it definitely doesn't take away from the story.

alternative fantasy world, magical elements, adventure (even small elements like sacrificing children, religious village customs) while on the surface plot they're not similar, their themes are, however the mc of Land is not immortal (no one is, because everyone dies at 50. trying to achieve immortality is a sin in the village)

-Both are written with a dosis of dark leaning moral ambiguity -There are good action moments. -There is the sense that misfortune gonna affect the characters. -Both protagonists did not ask to be in their situation (especially Fushi). -There a lot of depressive moments I think you can enjoy both easily

To Your Eternity and Spirit Migration have mcs that transform into various creatures throughout their journey.

Both are an emotional rollercoaster with great plot and characters. Both are created by the same author.

The most important siilaritiy is that both stories take place over generations - they have a very similar feel to how you understand the story time-wise. There are other similarties such as passing on of identity and stuggle against a non-human enemy. Fumetsu e Anata e is defintely the better of the two but if you liked it then you should definitely check out Ryuuma no Gagou.

They both have magical/supernatural themes. They are both beautifully drawn. They are both tragic in different ways.

Madame petit is about a young girl who has to struggle with a situation that she has to face while immortal is about the way that the main character will struggle to deal with his existencial crisis. Even thought the plot may differ they have in common the relaxing and warm feeiling of the plot where we can see cozy places and follow up the constant strugle of the main characters to overcomes many chalenges.

These series are pretty similar in terms of content, complexity, and characters. Both series revolve around the tragedy of an immortal main character, not truly sure of purpose. So, both main protagonists search for meaning, watching the characters as they progress and intertwine their past with the futures awaiting them. The melancholic feeling of overwhelming hopelessness grants both series plot expansion and progression.

Both center on love, loss, and growing beyond ourselves.

The main characters journey through a beautiful yet unforgiving world, meeting and losing people close to them. Their interactions with various people make the audience think what it means to connect with one another, learn from experience, and move forward, among other philosophical themes. Each story arc pertains to different people and places the protagonist interacts with. The Horizon is shorter and darker in tone, but if you enjoy To Your Eternity, you will surely like it.

1) Both stories are situated in a medieval world (but without magic) 2) Both main character make friends that want protect them 3) Both main character become some kind of "God" for the population of the world 4) Both stories involved political and religious themes

Both manga are about immortal beings. Both have a relaxing atmosphere to them.

Both have a narrative that spans across generations Both have impactful deaths that drive the story forwards Both have a theme of transferring ideas and knowledge. In To Your Eternity, this is in the form of memories and experiences of those he encounters. In Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, its scientific knowledge about heliocentrism being passed down through generations.

Both protagonists (main characters) in the respective manga are alien-like, with similar manipulative abilities (ES being the psychological, Fumetsu no Anata e being the body). The main characters both wander their world interacting with various strangers and developing bonds. The two manga contain similar themes, such as the protagonists' curiosity towards the nature of humanity, seeking the reason for their individual existence, and the mystery of their alien-like origin.
