THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Recap of the previous ONAs, but that's fine. I don't even remember most of these scenes and forgot how fun the show was until now. Not finished with it yet, halfway. I'm loving it though! So enjoyable and colourful, it's worth the wait. |

OP has great visuals, the song is quite nice as well. Repeat of the first ONA (Now in 720p!) Cool boss battle. Who the heck is sword koto?! Koto?! So I guess the series will continue and explain what happened here. Oh wow I missed this ED!! |

Kyousogiga, oh how I've missed you. Episode 0 this week, so it was just the original ONA with a couple of new scenes added? I can't remember. Well, we did get to see the OP and ED which were both great and I love the new OST, but I hope do they'll reuse some of the old OST as well. Looking forward to see what they do with this series now. |

I think this is episode 0 not episode 1 ?? |
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

symbv said: I think this is episode 0 not episode 1 ?? Yes but MAL saids 13 episodes and so we might as well count from episode 1. Also it's changed slightly with OST replacement, compressed for series and OP + ED, so it still counts I guess. But yeah, I loved it. Both songs were great and extremely fitting. The animation is very bright, colourful and breath-taking, and I hope more people see this in the future as I always wished for a full series for this. Edit: I changed it. For those of you confused, it'll be episode 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 10.5. |

Hmm.... I enjoyed the boss battle. I believe I did watch this in a less quality version in the past so watching it again in a higher quality was pleasing to the eyes. I'll stay tuned for newer material though. |

OT: This Anime is as colorful and fun as ever. The OP and ED songs are catchy and nice to listen too. Vivid colors along with an okay set of OST will make this very fun to watch. Hopefully many things will get cleared up as the show goes on but this will certainly be an enjoyable and entertaining watch. |

I was intrigued by the art style when looking for shows to choose for Fall but after watching this recap of the ONA I'm more excited than ever for this series It's breathtaking at how imaginative everything is whether it's the art direction, animation, the world, and last but certainly not least its characters |

Guess I'm a real Suzumura Kenichi's fangirl. I melted when he was sexily takling with the woman in the beginning! Great return of Kyousogiga! It's way more superior than a normal recap would be! I really like the OP, Myoue is really a main character, I'm glad about it! And I hope the brothers will get more screentime! :D And next episode is the one I'm interested the most! Or maybe Inari is more intriguing? |

The OP is pretty good. The ED is boring, abstract cg animation is uninteresting. The second time around this still makes no sense. I just can't follow what is going on. |

RediceRyan said: The OP is pretty good. The ED is boring, abstract cg animation is uninteresting. The second time around this still makes no sense. I just can't follow what is going on. This is my take on events. Koto and her two brothers were somehow transported to an alternate-universe Kyoto where everything is wacky, and in order to return home they have to find the white rabbit (Alice in Wonderland, anyone?). Koto and her two brothers (who seem like her familiars in this world) cause havoc attempting to find the rabbit. The Priest and Yase mistake Koto for Lady Koto, the goddess of Kyoto who went missing a long time ago, and intend to perform a ritual to bring Lady Koto forth from Koto's body somehow. The monk, Myoue, has brought Koto and her brothers under his care so he doesn't let this happen. In the middle of the fight Lady Koto does indeed return and pledges herself to Koto, promising to grant any wish she desires, and Koto says she wants to go home. |

How much of that was I supposed to understand? I mean, here's what I gleaned from this: So the three siblings are somehow in some sort of alternate dimension/universe full of weird creatures and trying to get home. They are looked after by the monk guy, who is in some kind of 3-way pact with the other monk creature and that blond woman, who are both not human. For some reason they think Koto is like the reincarnation of the Goddess of Kyoto, which I guess she kind of is? Is that about right? In any case, wow. I really really liked this. Great style and a joy to look at. |

The thing is even with this ep.0 people may find it difficult to understand the intricate setting of the world set in the anime. In fact this is the most common reactions I have seen in Japanese forums. The usual reaction is like "The sakuga looks great but I don't really get this anime". |

A hallucinatory recap of what I presume was the original episode 0. References are visible to both Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass but as seen through a certain skewed lens influenced by Japanese folklore and culture. Or as I might say: FTW? Still it's a dizzying ride and it's got me stoked for the TV series when it begins later this month. |

Wow that was quite entertaining despite not having a clue as to wtf is going on. Yet it was filled with a lot of fun and pretty colors/creatures/and things. The synopsis helped my understanding a little, but I guess this is not a world where things make a lot sense. Loved the OP too. I will stick around with this anime, it caught my attention the most against the other two anime that I watched today. |

I think I spotted some additional scenes that weren't broadcasted when the ONA episodes aired back then. While everything might seem confusing at first I honestly prefer this type of storytelling over more conventional ones. There are no proper introductions or explanations but it instantly pulls you in with its sheer mass of energy and creativity. |

They just rebroadcasted the 2011 ONA (Eudaimonia, when you said "episodes," were you talking about the 2012 ONA series?); not that I minded watching it again. I didn't notice any new scenes though, with the exception of the new opening. I presume that opening will be the one used for the TV series. Cant wait until the TV broadcast starts in earnest. |

i reckon it's pretty much identical with the very first ONA. some bgm i dont remember though. now it makes much more sense after watching the 2012 ONA. episode 1 is gonna be like extended version of the last episode in 2012 ONA. im looking forward to it it sorta follows the folklore of Kyoto...? Myoue = human Kurama = tengu Yase = demon/youkai.....but not tanuki LOVE THE OP and ED THEMES!! |
