| Of all the things they can fight over they are fighting over grades, that's when your are taking things to serious. They also made their mother sad which is never a good thing. Anyway the new girl is funny and hopefully she is a good addition to the anime seeing how things have been going so far something new is needed. As usual the main characters are way to busy annoying each other, speaking of which Yume is really annoying when she is acting especially the part where she was trying to be overly nice. |

| Great episode! Yume is annoyed that Mizuto didn't fill in the final answer but in the end, he still won. (The anime didn't really do justice to the feelings of Yume here imo compared to LN). HIGASHIRA BEST GIRL OF THE SERIES IS FINALLY HERE! Of course, Yume is feeling a bit jealous that Mizuto is so close to her. She was straightforrward with her feelings when talking to Mizuto which was good to see. I really am looking forward to the parts that will come with Higashira later but also am not looking forward to the conclusion that part of the story receives if you know what I mean...(At least, personally). Looking forward to the next episode! |

| Let me get this out of the way before my thought proper, ehem....Kimisen, Konosuba, Haganai and another one that didn't catch my eyes....whoever is in charge there all I can say is thank you for the JoJo references. Anyways woah this episode really loves some heat. Our step-siblings went more Kaguya-sama stuff as they fought over being the top student in their grade. They really did fought over that and I can't help but notice...the thought that Mizuto-kun acts so similar to Ayanokouji is making me irk now, I guess that's the problem with shows airing at the same time. I digressed but yeah they did resolved that with a nice conversation between them two, but damn Mizuto can really fire arrows to a woman's heart if he wants to, his lines are a killer to Yume and...Isana. I will say Isana knows some culture (Konosuba love is real) and I can't help but say...her like-mindedness is just the same flavor as mine. I cannot believe the things she said at the end there, it's not only that she speaks facts, and secondly she is actually a shy person (but already graduated from a phase that Komi-san is in), but she can be straightforward to no end. Wishing to be a boy because having a vagina sucks...well still true in some ways but woah don't say that in my perverted mind, it just makes your character more weird and appealing at the same time. Yeah this episode is weird and has some heat in it as well, also LN references that are appreciated. |

| I'm beginning to like this show more than Rent A Girlfriend, its having its own serious moments and goofiness and the mc isn't that hated, very well put together ep, also that girl Higashira seems like an interesting character |

| So this is where Yume goes all "Kaguya-sama"-ish for Mizuto is her ultimate goal, until the rivalry turned into a full-on confession. And as prepared as Mizuto is, him reading LNs away to beat away the time, the same luxury could not be said for the stepsister whose target always never wavers...which their argument turns into an all-out affair akin to their couple days, using their midterms as liability. Mizuto is simply confident that no matter what Yume did, she'll never surpass her now stepbrother, but instead, she has friends that genuinely worry about her, which is better than chasing for perfection. Too bad for Yume, this is where Mizuto would get his interest kin in the form of Isana Higashira, and also reading Haganai while at it. She reminds me of Tomozaki-kun's mix between the introverted Fuuka Kikuchi and extroverted Minami Nanami, in the exact same manner of being introverted and stuck in the library, and needing help when stepped outside of her comfort zone. Of course, this gets Yume all riled up of the many possibilities that Mizuto could've had with Isana, and how the latter uses that against his stepsister sure feels cringe and weird with that romantic stepsibling rhetoric. But still, an interest friend being closer than a stepsister-cum-ex-lover, and while Yume may feel jealous, it's their interaction that basically gives the edge to continue the cat-and-mouse chase game. Heh, I can already feel that Isana Higashira would be one wild card of a character that'll shape the relationships of everyone involved going forward. |

| Looks like Mizuto is reading Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World this week. Good series imo, I enjoyed it and I’m glad it’s coming back. I clocked Konosuba and Haganai, but I know I’m missing at least a few others. Couldn’t make out what Higashira was reading both times. Anywho, I like this competitive streak between these two. Yume studies like crazy, Mizuto sits around reading manga lol. I guess he was trying to teach Yume a lesson. People don’t hang out with her because of her grades, it’s because they like her. How sweet! Yume was about to confess after that lol. Seems Mizuto’s found a manga buddy in Higashira lol. She definitely likes him though, I mean they do click. I do like seeing a jealous Yume lol. Gonna have to give two points to Mizuto just by making Yume jealous and that whole cheek brush thing lol. Well done Mizuto haha. Mizuto just blurting out the fact that Yume thought Higashira liked him lol. And wtf was Higashira talking about? Girl is an oddball but she’s pretty cute lol. Can’t wait to see what Yume does about this Higashira crush. Things are gonna get interesting. |
| Isana was reading The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya （涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱） in the web novel but putting in I Don't Have Many Friends（僕は友達が少ない）for the "define a friend" scene was on point. Yume finally realizing that the only one who took her "honor student" image as her persona at the school was her is great. Good thing Mizuto helped her realize that. Yume's a bit more honest about her jealousy than she was in the web novel though. Speaking of the web novel, it seems like we aren't going to see the "McDonalds (WacDonalds(?))" scene where Isana gives some good arguments about Yume having a problem with her calling Mizuto by his first name. |

| We finally meet the green haired girl from the OP. She honestly looks better with Mizuto than Yume. That bedroom part with Yume calling Mizuto oni-chan without feeling any embarassment made me really uncomfortable. Higashira is really sweet. ED was sacrificed for a little more content. Pretty enjoyable episode overall. |

| Mizuto reading Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, huh? He's got good taste! XD Anyways, Yume felt the pressure with the mid-term exams and her desperation in chasing for that top spot. It was putting a strain on herself, as was shown when she lost it at Mizuto after he left one of his questions of his blank and their mother had to intervene to stop Yume from slapping Mizuto. Thankfully, after losing out on the top spot to Mizuto, she was able to realise that she has friends that like her for who she is and they don't care too much about whether she's at the exam top spot or not. Isana is a rather cute addition to the cast. She's got a nice voice and great looks, but she's very shy. She's able to become friends with Mizuto and relied on him to become more comfortable with Yume and Minami. Her reasons why she wanted to become a boy due to her embarrassment was rather funny, though. ^^; Either way, she was able to gain the confidence to introduce herself to the others and she was happy with the result. Yume's jealousy of Isana being close to Mizuto is very apparent, so this should make the upcoming episodes rather promising with the way things are going as of now. |
| Midterms are always such a stressful time. So that was their initial point of contact huh being beaten by someone in a exam. Still Yume's anger at Mizuto was certainly understandable. There's no point in winning if your opponent is letting you win after all. Wow the results certainly was unexpected. But it did allow Mizuto to impart a very important lesson to Yume. Isana is quite the interesting girl though. Yume in little sister mode was pretty cute. Still the resulting frank talk between the two of them was a nice conclusion to this ep. Despite their desire to overcome the past it is this bond that truly defines their unique relationship after all not something that should be abandoned that easily. Overall this was a strong ep that did well to expand upon Yume and Mizuto's characters via their own personal struggles in life while also introducing a new character in the form of Isana. Looks like Minami has a fun plan for her coming up. |

| I literally got a thought when yume was jealous of mizuto and that girl that this is going to turn into an another depressing anime , but some how i saved that it didn't turn as i thought for me this episode was like 9.5/10 my bro mizuto is reading another light novel at last episode it was the detective is already dead and this time it was our last crusade or the rise of a new world |

And not only am I absolutely enjoying our 2 MC's, for the first time do I not hate the 'new love-triangle side character' I really like her as well straight from the start!! lets goo!! |

| Higashira is finally introduced in the story, just like Yume, her voice sounds very different from what I've imagined. It's nice having a character who is a massive light novel fan just like me, and I really liked seeing all the light novel references in this episode like Konosuba and Haganai. |

| The first half was pretty heated, I felt bad for the mom there lol, she couldn’t handle the heated argument between Mizuto and Yume, but thankfully it ended well with Yume realizing she didn’t need to be the top of the class for people to want to care about her, it was honestly silly of her to think that but knowing how she was in the past it does make sense. And now we got a new girl, Higashira, who immediately makes Yume jealous by being too close with Mizuto, and they honestly did get close really fast too, my man is already putting her socks on for her lol, but thanks to Mizuho confronting Yume she was able to except Higashira, also that period comment immediately shut her down lol, loved those reactions from the girls. Also I didn’t expect to see “Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World” Mizuto was reading near the beginning, I also caught some others like Konusuba, I’m enjoying these references for sure. |
| to be honest I don't know why but I like this anime a lot, I had never seen a step-sibling relationship because that style of anime usually disgusts me but this one turns out to be quite good, overall, it has good comedy and a very good development of the chapters fluid is very entertaining and light to watch |
| Good episode overall, Yume is a complicated girl that's for sure. Mizuto left some answers blank on the Japanese test and he still beat Yume overall counting the other tests, but Yume getting second place and seeing her friends still treat her the same made her realize that's it not all about being #1, which was nice to see. We got introduced to a new girl, Isana, and she and Mizuto hit it off right away. She's cute but shy, and Yume got immediately jealous! At least Yume confessed her feelings and Mizuto re-introduced Isana to Yume and Akatsuki and things went a little better than the first time but still awkward (like why did Isana bring up periods LOL??) Btw, I noticed that Akatsuki asked Yume if she would help Isana hook up with Mizuto, wth was that?? Akatsuki is cunning and I think she may want to see how Yume reacts. 3 girls and a guy can potentially lead to more drama lol. Looking forward to the next episode! |

| Second half felt rushed to me. Like they introduce Isana and Mizuto and her are like best friends all of a sudden. He's putting on her socks and mentioning how well they click. I just personally didn't feel it. Like it would have made more sense that when Yume went into the Library and the Calendar said "June 1st" the "Oh you like that novel as well" thing happens and we fast forward like a week, id be okay with it. Isana clearly is going to get her heart broken eventually. And I am already not looking forward to it even though I like Yume a lot. They been doing a great job relaying to the viewers how Important Mizuto is in Yume's life. Now we just have to see if it goes both ways. |

| Higashira seems like she'll give Akatsuki a run for her money as best girl of this show. I'm loving the light novel references, and this week we got Haganai and Our Last Crusade, or the Rise of a New World, at least from what I could see. There were one or two that I'm not sure of I think |

| I can't take Male MC seriously when he tries to dress up nicely and somehow makes his hair look worse, reminds me of kids dressing up and going to Primary or Intermediate discoes. It's been a pretty entertaining first half of the show, about a 7/10. |
| Still easily one of my favourites of the season. I like the dynamic between the two leads although I'd still rather there was a better balance of power. Well I guess this is written for young boys to enjoy. And I like the supporting cast... |
