THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So this episode showed an important message from Mage. I almost found it hard to believe it's been 10 years and so much happened while Derrida was asleep.

The world has changed so much and there are definitely some places that are more dangerous than others. Derrida is invested in finding out the truth and also for revenge. I think his character intention so far makes sense but also flawed.

If Derrida wants to really to make a change, I want to see how far he progresses in his goals.

So the girl in Derrida's illusions wasn't Mage... Damn, everything is so unexpected in this show.
There is a Derrida from a different past?? That's very interesting, I really want to know what this all about.

Anyway, so far the mystery was very engaging for me, I like the story, it's keeping me on the edge of my seat and I think it will only get better when the mysteries will get unveiled.

4/5 Now we'll probably have to wait for the Japanese broadcast to catch up and that's like a month and a half. The wait begins.
Edit: The wait stops earlier than this^^^... good for us.

Well count me in for this ride, if only I didn't have to wait 1 month and a half for this XD.

Good episode, some things feel a little convenient like how they broke into rebuild but it makes sense I guess.

The final cliffhanger was definitely the best part of the episode, so this is technically a different worldline if you will. I'm gonna assume that every time someone time leaps is when Derrida gets those headaches and weird visions. I believe the one time leaping is Mage but let's see.

Time to wait a month and a half I guess. xD

This show has been quite parallel or inspired from Stein;Gate (especially they both have director) but deals with little more serious setting and things got dark quick. That end plot (of first episode) twist quite bothered me but overall this episode cliffhanger all the way revived my hype in hyper way and add more complexity to this show. Nice.

Wow, a lot of praise for something that hasn't been very intriguing

while there hasn't been anything particularly egregious,
little issues keep breaking immersion: shooting a downward moving gate stops the gate for an arbitrary period of time, or why yuri is at mahou's home with a gun ready to shoot someone but also doesn't believe delderra even tho she has photo evidence of what he looks like (might be foreshadowing tho)

the small amount of world building has been about the only interesting aspect, dunno if i'll continue

Now that I've seen all the four episodes, I can definitely say that this is a decent sci-fi anime. Nothing amazed me (animation is okay, music is okay, characters are okay) and some things are just puzzling (Like why the main character went to the city in the beginning of episode 2), but I enjoyed it fine enough and I am looking forward to the next episode that will come in 2 years.

Pretty mediocre, but still watchable and that ending might make things more interesting. I only hope they have a good and logical explanation for the different memories and all this potential time travel stuff.

That MAL synopsis is such a bamboozle though, whoever wrote it, it can't be farther from the truth. I had very different expectations from this.

Yeah have been thinking about that, like other show I didn't read the synopsis beforehand but I am sure some people does and its gonna spoil the first four episodes already.

There are several plot holes here and there, but it's engaging enough for me to stick with it. The mystery aspect, as well as the action, is what I like about this show

It's not perfect but it's not bad either

Even the people that like it mention too many flaws.
I absolutely hated every single episode.
Most people who hated it stopped watching from episode 1.

Don't force yourself to watch it if tou don't like it.

I'd like this show a lot more if it had better pacing. Gonna take a respectful pass on the rest of it.
Don't believe the hype.

I see, they release the first 4 episodes together because only the fourth one has something minimally interesting.

I just hope it doesn't end bad cause given how everything is really cheap and the countless amount of plot holes so far there is no space to a not so happy ending.

Slow, shaky start, but there's potential for this to make a decent series. Just gotta wait it out I guess...

Also, I think it would be a waste of a post to make one about this separate issue I'm having so I'll just say it here.

To the guy who rated this show a 1 after only four episodes out of twelve:
You're a moron and shouldn't be allowed to submit reviews anywhere, let alone this site. You must be blessed indeed to have never truly seen a terrible first four episodes. Because I have. And this sure as hell ain't it. And when I dump a show without even coming to close to finishing it? I STILL never give it O N E of all things. Dear god.

At this point:
The Car (Graham) is still the Best Girl/Car since nothing else in the anime seems to be too capable in the face of danger.

Yuri is still wearing the same hairstyle that she did 10 years ago and she is going to get neck strain with all the pony tail weight on one side.

And our MC is seeing things that no one else can see.....

You don't call them plot holes until the series finishes because there's a chance things might or might not be tackled on later on, especially with a sci-fi anime.

I don't know how I feel about this show yet. The first episode was easily the worst, and such a bad start to the show. That one guy and his daughter are nice at least.

It is just a 12 episodes anime, I don't think they will manage to make it with just more 8 episodes, but you are right, technically, they can. But I really don't bealive that.

This guy is a real programmer. I'd have done the same. 100% approved.

By the way, I just love this show with all its clear faults, literally it's such a wild ride.
There are certain aspects I actually do love, like how not everyone is wiped out and there are people in safety and prosperity and it's not a real full-blown AI-robot-zombie apocalypse.

Also, anytime I hear

Derrida just shock by the truth- that the govt were to used those DZ automata/robots for warfare all along. Its a sad one for him though, but atleast he has now a group that can help him to bring down Andrei and the govt...

On the ange part- well it looks like based on what is happening there, it really can does change what happened 10 yrs ago as shown in last part..hahaha...

I really like this show..

They are just repeating things in this episode. The thing about Ange and the bug that was entered purposely have already been mentioned before. The only new thing I found was the possibility that Derrida had travelled time. Still, it could've been done better.

How is no one wondering how they suddenly have suits in this episode? Where did they come from? Why is this show so poorly written?

We can only hope, it's a sci-fi anime after all. There has got to be some making sense of every weird s*** happening.

The characters and directing are boring, but the interesting plot is making up for it.

Finally, something interesting happened in the end. I think that Derrida changed the timeline in the laboratory, this will explain the dirty shoes. The government is behind this war, that doesn't surprise me at all.

Maybe, the show can be at least enjoyable with this twist but it have pacing issues and bad characterization.

Looks like Vidaux is still going to help Derrida.

Derrida also seems to have accidentally altered his past due to those "Ange" moments that keep popping up.

Damn didn't expect we'd see this kind of development yet! Really impressive episode and story development in general! Really interesting ending and now that we're already on another timeline with events thing sure are spicing up a whole lot more!
