Dream catcher? Sounds like gimmicky.

Baku is one of those characters that I find hard to read. His card game tricks are quite something though. The episode had an okay balance I guess. Hana got another premonition. NO TIME FOR REST. Anyways, I do kinda like Baku's own philosophy about fighting. Guy's got a heart.

Welp, another telepathic kiss. Am I not surprised?

Looks like Kumiko is the one with the abnormalities though. Dem tears.

Dream Catcher, nice name for Livlaster. So he did show his power to her. He fired that boxer just because he and the lady got intimate. And they used her as as bait to wake him. People on the ship became immortal during the incident because of him. He released them with her wish.

He's strong even on the robot, even though that strength seems fake because of despair.

The reason Haruhiko stayed alive even after a fatal attack and Kumiko's recurring nightmares is revealed. So, it was all due Baku's singularity. Pretty awesome!
Too bad, he went emo after Kumiko disintegrated away..

Daichi seemingly got owned but succeeded taking out Bugbear in the end.
Amarok's commentary on Baku vs. Daichi was pretty funny though.

Good episode. Baku departs with the Kiltgangs but still treasures the little memento Kumiko gave him..

A beach segment and OTP moments next episodes. (^^) Looking forward to it!

First off, can this just all be re-written and focus entirely on Baku's life?

He is by FAR the most interesting character so far (Albeit that isn't that hard) and only with 2 episodes of development and backstory and I am far more interested in his life than the actual story of this series.

Other than that, the episode was good, probably the best one so far. If we get more Baku, I'd love that a lot. Please give me more Baku... PLEASE.

So like, what happens to the children then? I guess I am to assume after the slave traders died the police went in to rescue the kids... I assume... Would have liked a bit more of that subplot explored.. again.. rewrite the story to be about Baku's life.

OOookay, but seriously, good episode.

So, Baku was the one who revived everyone. He did this because he wanted to protect Kumiko.

Now Kumiko is gone, Baku got nothing to protect.

Baku was by far the most interesting of the designer children of the week. I hope that bit ends now and they can move on to the central plot.

The obligatory swimsuit episode seems to be upcoming.

Kumiko was a really interesting character, despite us only knowing about her for two episodes. It's terribly sad how helpless she felt to the point that she was willing to die to stop her father's child trafficking. Not to mention how much she must've suffered her whole life, without an ounce of happiness. Which of course, is also really sad for Baku, to lose the only person he's ever cared for. Daichi saying that Baku seems to be without strength only shows that since there's nothing left for Baku to protect, he isn't as strong and invincible as he was before. I still have hope for him to not continue chilling with the Kiltgang crew though.

Next episode, Hana is crying?

Your're definitely not alone.

+1 from me as well.

It would make this anime much more interesting. Baku is someone we can relate to in one form or another.

I'm picturing, off-scene, a bunch of bystanders just getting freaked the hell out after seeing the dozens of other Yakuza disintegrate.

It was refreshing to see that Baku didn't laugh menacingly like all the other antagonists after receiving that kiss. Seeing how he acted after that, it looks like we'll finally get an Kiltgang with a different personality from the rest.

Yeah seriously, he even says that since there'll be no recent attacks, we'll just be dicking around on the beach. Instead of you know... actually becoming competent with the Earth Engine.

Wow I did not expect that it is an illusion Baku created when the ship exploded. Him and Kumiko's past were very interesting so far and very tragic.

Damn I though he would join Daichi's gang but guess he joined the bad guys then. The Dream Catcher Livlaster is a pretty cool name :D. Next episode, it looks like Hana is up to something...

Amara is awesome. I'm amazed they are just considered as team rocket v2.0 '-'

Anyway, this episode was a sad one. The whole background on the accident was an interesting twist to explain the immortality, and gives more depth to Baku's character. As the illusion breaks and he's left with nothing, he decides to be Bugbear out of pure grief and resentment that he has nothing else to hold into as a human, it leaves the idea that he may have become like Teppei and defect, but did not do so, and he still has an attachment to his human memories.

I really lol'd at Amara commenting the fight and using a bell.

And next episode we have a beach episode.....BUT it seems it won't be just that, Oh no!! The Planetary Gears are gonna use Hana, and that certainly looks like some room for development for her, which is nice.

I hope they bring a new opening D:

Haha I agree. He's more interesting than all other characters combined.

We've reached the halfway mark, maybe (hopefully!) the story picks up after this. I'm seriously getting tired of "bad guy gets his ass kicked, new bad guy next week!" routine :/

With all the Designer's Child awakened. I believe this will turn into a war for Setsuna sort of arc? Hana seems to gain more relevance too in her original role.

Amara and Moka are hot as hell, so much better than Team Teppei.

Baku has THE MOST interesting story of the entire cast. These past two episodes have pretty much saved the series thus far (don't know if it'll be messed up later though). You really gotta feel sorry for him. The only girl he loved he managed to save for a year, and was forced to let her go at her own request. I'd be lost as hell if something like that happened to me. It's a small wonder why he wouldn't use his full strength to fight in the Machine Goodfellow. I ended up cheering on Baku though, sue me.

Next episode your typical "Nothing's gonna happen so we'll go to the beach" Episode.
Let's hope it won't be as bad as we're all anticipating.

Glad everyone joined me on the Baku bandwagon, dude is easily best character. I was hoping he'd deviate from the formulaic designer child path, and was disappointed at first, but the end made it clear he's retained his will seemingly more so than the others, it's just changed.

Two episodes and Baku is already the character with the most depth and development.

Dude...dude......DUDE,Baku is best character of the show so far.

The fact that he had 2 episodes dedicated to his story gives me the idea that we will see plenty more of him & he maybe slightly more important than the other kiltgang excluding Amara & Moco of course.Though, there is the possibility that they're just going to waste his character....................................And I have a STRONG feeling that may happen.

I quite like Baku's character. His episodes were quite sad, even though I knew nothing good could come from their relationship, I had my fingers crossed. Ah well, I imagine he might turn against the Kiltgang in the future.

So we get a feelsy beach episode next week? As long as we get to see Hana's swimming hairstyle I will be a happy person!

Hoping Setsuna will come back soon, I feel like she has a lot to do with the series, considering she's the only one of the Kiltgang besides Amara and Moco who appears in the opening, albeit its a silhouette, but still...

Also new opening next week! Get hype!

+1 for Baku. To think that the others could just be as interesting. They gave every designer child an extraordinary past/life, but the moment they awake, they turn into bland characters.

Also, they have some convenient inconsistencies: Daichi knew immediately that Rin was one of the designer children (although that was when she was awakened, so that *can* be explained away if you want), but even while seriously considering Baku as designer child, he doesn't notice anything even while talking.

And they make a point of him being terrible with handguns, but the livlaster feels like throwing a bomerang, with which he did some amazing stuff..but the moment he needs it, he misses. And it was not because Baku was too fast or did dodge..he simply aimed too high. If anything, Baku was too slow to catch that shot.

Same with Daichi actually defeating Baku. Explaining it away with "he di want to die/wasn't as strong anymore" - really convenient. And they failed at portraying it, especially when they don't show how Daichi actually managed to do it.

Seems like that change from last episode didn't last long..too bad.

This was actually really well done, I liked how the girl figured out baku's magic trick piece by piece. I was wondering why she asked him if he could only fix the ace of hearts.... I guess at that point she knew when he said he didn't have that kinda of control (it also meant they could never be together without the father).

This. Seriously. At least they could have shown a bit of foreshadowing on why Daichi was able to beat him. Aside from the good drama in this Bugbear arc, the show as a whole with its piss-poor writing is getting more and more painful and frustrating to watch.

I thought the story could go in a different way, instead we always find ourselves with the usual script, in which the action is somewhat irritating given the obviousness of the final.
But which group prepared? But as Captain?
It seems to always see the rookies into the fray, again beginning to bore me.
Only thing worthy of this TV series, is the good quality of the designs and animations.

This back and forth, cat and mouse game between the Planetary Gears and our good guys is unexpected, but I like it. I think the writing is getting better as it moves along. I've felt engaged these past episodes. Also, the idea of an immortal child-trafficking crime family running around is pretty unnerving, good think they all disappear.
