I kinda agree with your signature but I'll still recommend you Planetes and Moonlight Mile as similar titles (it's debateablke which of those 3 is the best, thex each have individual strengths). For fans of space and adult casts and all that they are just must watch titles :)

Your sig has been bothering me for a while now. So I'll just say it. I HATE Uchuu Kyoudai/Space Brothers because

I only made the suggestion because Planetes is VERY similar in terms of setting and genre to Space Brothers and very few anime are set in that kind of setting (only others I know of are Wings of Honneamise and Moonlight Mile). Considering you liked Space Bros so much I thought you might enjoy Planetes as well, because to me it is everything Space Bros is doing but better (just my opinion again).

I am following the anime and enjoying it quite a bit. I think the only faults for me is that obviously being a long series its quite slow-paced (its going to have 50+ eps if I remember). The art is very simplistic, there is not much detail put into the character designs. Although they look more realistic than most anime, I feel like they could have added more detail to the faces and made the characters more unique in terms of design (ex: Hibito looks a lot like Furuya). Lack of creativity in the series... being a show that focuses on real life there isn't much unique of creative elements to this anime. The exception would be Yuuri's alien life forms that he imagines, perhaps there will be more of that in the future but for a medium like anime where anything can happen, such a tame/dull setting seems kind of lackluster. Again this is all just my opinion, I'm still enjoying the show quite a lot.

Do yourself a favor and watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
