| It's a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but I really like the way Kaiki reacted to Hanekawa's catchprase, and how it was paired up with the imagery of a melting icicle. She and Gaen are essentially polar opposites of each other as far as modesty and ego goes in their personality, and in the way they're aware of their own wealth of knowledge (former is very modest and doesn't places herself above other people, while the latter doesn't even intend to hide how much she enjoys having the upper hand), and it's not hard to imagine how much of a pleasant surprise it was for Kaiki to see this much genuiene modesty from a know-it-all after all those years he knew Gaen and her behaviour. IMO Hanekawa always had a knack for noticing the "good" in other people even though her rather developed sense of consideration/understanding towards other people, and self-control in general was part of the reason why her life was harder than necessary back then, but now it gives off a more mature vibe after she learned her lessons in the first arc. (Yeah, I was a bit dissapointed that the secret of Nadeko's closet wasn't revealed at first even for a brief mention, but I didn't mind it in the end. This arc is still shaping up to be my other favourite arc in the S2 lineup). |

| Pretty strong episode, definitely an improvement in comparison to the last two, which I found to be rather unexciting. One big plus to me was the return to the more surrealistic take on visuals - especially Kaiki blow-drying his hair, while on the phone, and the revolving circular floor tiles (or whatever they were supposed to be) were done quite nicely. The quality of the animation in general has taken a few steps back though in this arc, or at least thats my impression. Maybe its just difficult to animate Kaiki, because especially his facial features seem distorted to me quite often. Doesnt take away too much from this episode though, in my opinion. Also the quality of the dialogues was better than in most other recent episodes and almost on the level of Bake with regard to wit and focus. This is how I like my Monogatari Series! Seeing Hanekawa with her natural silver-black hair colour was a nice surprise to me as well. I never understood, why she dyed her hair all-black in the first place. After all the silver stripes always represented her acceptance of her character in its entirety with all its facets/ traits (both good and bad) to me and covering up those stripes just after regaining them seemed inherently contradictory to me in terms of symbolic meaning. Was this even canon? Maybe someone, who read the novels could help? Lastly, I loved the feature of one of my favourite architectural landmarks by one of my favourite architecture studios "Herzog & de Meuron": the Prada shop in Tokio! Anyone else notice it? So simple, yet inspiring - this is what good architecture looks like :P ... and it goes to show yet again the amount of attention to and love for detail SHAFT is putting into the production of this series. I highly doubt there is ONE person in this world, who gets all the references thrown at us. |

| I have to say that Hanakawa's hairstyle which we only saw shortly before during the first arc looks good on her and since she wasn't wearing glasses it looked even better. The main question is why did she want to talk to Kaiki it's not entirely clear why she would have traveled back just to talk to him, despite some of the things she said. I am also wandering who is trying to interrupt Kaiki, seeing the actions taken there might be more people then just Gaen trying to interrupt his plan to deceive Nadeko. The question is for what reason. |

| I rewatched the first episode of Koimonogatari, and it seemed to me that kaiki was in suruga's house... in my opinion hanekawa knows that kaiki is a liar and the only thing he wants is money (or maybe suruga's house), so it's pretty logical that she don't have to ask if he wants to really help senjougahara... | Oh man, the more you look, the more you see how cute Hanekawa looks with the new hair!! "I swear to Cat." and Kaiki's reactions after that were quite funny! Also, I had a thought when Kaiki put twenty thousand yen in the box. Could this be the addictive snake venom Gahara was talking about? I do know Kaiki was just curious to see Nadeko's reaction though. |

I'm looking for the soundtrack playing in this episode during the second half of the call between Senjougahara and Kaiki (when she drops the call for a second, for example). I'm desperately looking for it, but I can't seem to find it. Same as with the soundtrack playing during the chat between Kaiki and Ononoki last episode, but now this one is even more important to me :( |

Their conversation was,a s usual, amazing! And everyone who deals with the supernatural is afraid to meet Hanekawa :-) They all know something, eh? | The conversations between Kaiki and Hitagi was always very entertaining, though it's not as good as between Koyomi and Mayoi. And Tsubasa. Finally she appeared again. God Nadeko was far more interesting than the shy Nadeko. She used to be my least fav MS character. But her voice is always stellar. |

| Shit, I completely forgot about Hanekawa's hair color change... was confused for a second as to who that was when she showed up. I thought "well this is an interesting time to introduce a new character, must be whoever left the note." for a second there. Glad her hair stayed like that, I think someone said back then that it wouldn't and for some reason I believed it. :o Oh damn, I've been thinking it was the same voice for a while... but wow he really is Aikurou Mikisugi from Kill la Kill, lol. |

| I was expecting what was in Nadeko's closet, but I guess that will be revealed in the final 2 episodes It went by so fast with Kaiki talking to Senjougahara, Nadeko and finally meeting Hanekawa The hostess bar remark was really good when it got to him too Bringing your own sake to your pleasure spot xD |
| That letter who send it ? Gaen sure is afraid of Kaiki failing to deceive Nadeko. Another long conversation with Hitagi. Those priority plan are so damn awesome. Hanekawa appearance with her hair not dyed ( YES), she want to trade info with Kaiki and she his going back abroad for help. |

| I never get tired hearing conversations with Senjougahara. It seems we have to wait more for the closet thing but as about the thread letter, i believe it could be that black eye woman(i forgot her name right now). Lets not forget that she was the one who ruined Gaen's plans and made Nadeko a god. Remember the whole bike accident where she met and talked to Nadeko? So since she wanted Nadeko to be a god maybe she wanted her to fulfill her role in killing those she wanted to kill? | Gotta like how Kaiki considered the 3 million yen as a "severance package". This man is seriously entertaining to watch. Even his music is interesting. His conversations with Hitagi are never boring either. More of the unexpected: Kaiki and Hanekawa talking to each other over the necessity of saving our main couple. I'm still quite curious about that something Kaiki found inside Nadeko's closet, though. It's not going to be featured in a cliffhanger scene if it was totally unimportant... |
