| Loved every minute of that, one of my favourite episodes so far. I'm so glad Miyano Mamoru is doing Taichi's voice, I don't know anyone else who could do that quiet intensity so well. Also, why are there so many people posting spoilers on these threads? It's getting so I'm afraid to read the discussions, there's so many hints (and worse) being dropped everywhere. |
| I dont get it why ppl complaining about no romance in the series where it clearly doesnt have tag romance in it. Even tho Taichi and Arata both possibly got some romantic feelings towards Chihaya on the other hand Chihaya character is one of those characters who has no romantic feelings towards anyone other than her love for karuta. |

| The only reason I still want Chihaya to end up with Taichi is because he loves her, but Chihaya is kinda getting on my nerves, do you have to so inconsiderate of other people's feelings? I want Taichi to get a girl that deserves him for who he has become, Chihaya and Arata can go have kids together, I don't even care. |
| I think maybe Chihaya do have feelings for Taichi, but she doesn't really think about it. Remember the episode where she wanted to see his room but he pulled her hand? Then you see her holding her hand close to herself. And also that indirect kiss. The one with the spoon. The mangaka is toying with us D< XD Maybe the mangaka herself haven't decided yet? .__. But Taichi, he love Chihaya since they were young hasn't he? Till now. Arata was a new kid. And Chihaya is just fascinated. Since Arata also open the door to karuta for her. Also, I think Chihaya's admiration for Arata might look like it borders on love but only because she has this strong desire to beat him. To win. She still haven't beat him right? Who here gives up after having beaten? I'm sure most of you will play again and again to the point of obsession trying to beat that person, right? Well, just my opinion though XD Overall, Chihayafuru is just awesome. Chihaya with Taichi or Chihaya with Arata, I doubt they'd really tell in this season. We won't really know though. There's still 5 eps left. (ONLY 5 LEFT>!! D: NUUU, MOAR!!) |
| Holy jeez, why is this show so freaking awesome?! Worst timing with Arata breaking Taichi's concentration like that, and then Chihaya just forgets about him ... I mean, I understand that's kinda her character but I feel so bad for Taichi T_T Also OMG when Arata wasn't sure if Taichi was dating Chihaya or not ... I WISH, MAN! I WISH D; It was really awesome at the end with Chihaya thinking about the poem and Taichi on the train station. Wow, just wow. Harada with his thoughts on being rewarded and Taichi denying it (which I totally knew he would), saying he doesn't want to be someone who runs away ... man, I think I love him more and more every episode. Now if only OTHER PEOPLE could realize how awesome he is ... I REALLY think this needs a second season - only 5 more episodes?! How am I gonna survive?! D; Seriously, it's sad that OTHER animes are so much more popular than this one this season ... |

| Very good episode. 5/5 This was a very intriguing and emotionally complex situation, Chihaya arrives to support Taichi only to see him having lost on an early round, but then she finds out Arata's there as well. I'm not sure what she was thinking when she went to see Arata's game. Of course she'd be interested in seeing Arata, but what did she think about Taichi when she left him alone? Did she just forget about him because she was so surprised or glad to see Arata or was it a difficult choice to her that she had to justify it in her mind as a very rare chance meeting with Arata? I'm having such hard time deciding which pairing I like more. I used to be 100% Arata x Chihaya but the last few episodes have changed my support to about 55% in Arata's favor :/ The way everyone acted and felt in the situation was heartwarming and natural in the end and it all played out nice. Taichi's decision to turn down the promotion was interesting, I really like his character development. I'm still not quite sure if I like how superhuman he is by and large but he's becoming more and more interesting. And I have to say I like how Taichi keeps losing. It's painful to see but I would not take karuta seriously at all if all main characters were able to always win just because they want to. |

| Excellent episode! Taichi lost before reaching the semi-finals but Arata lost too so he's not a god of Karuta yet. However, I would say my opinion of their two: Taichi was a coward and bad as a child, he's the n1 of school, and he can have any girl he wants. While Arata was bullied as a child, then he had to move away when he finally was able to make friends and his most precious family member died and he is charging back this pain since then. So in conclusion i must say yea ok Taichi now is a really great person and supports a lot Chihaya BUT don't come here to say: "Oh poor Taichi, he suffers so much"...DAMN GOD stop with this shit, you make me sick... PS: It's just my opnion. Btw it's a sport's anime and this show is amazing! |

And common everybody, everyone saw how they grew up. Arata had to earn some money as a paperboy, although he was really young. Taichi has a well educated parents, so his financial support is great. And I think that´s the reason why the mangaka is so great and amazing- coz she didn´t let him be spoiled, but through the hard work and by losing important games, he is not arrogant and cheeky as he was as a child. I think she is doing great. We all are learning MORE from BAD experience than from happiness. And that makes us much stronger. I think Taichi will be fine. I dont think (and hope) he end up with Chihaya, but I believe there will be a girl who can he help to be a better girl as he was taught that way. :) I cant helped myself but be so happy to see how love can be expressed somtimes. I never would have tought that Chihaya will love him so much and didn´t realise her own feeling for such a long time (for example that scene when they finally see each other under the sakura tree). Especially, her special card is red, and the way how she is looking at Arata, wow, that´s so beautiful... And after his relief when he found out that they are not couple with Taichi, I think that he has also feeling for her and I hope that later on they show us the way how he thinks about chihaya. :) Anyway, it´s one amazing story... feel so happy when I am watching them... :) |

| I've generally liked the way characters are developed in this anime, but the way Taichi is developed from someone you dislike to someone you can really like, then to be completely shitted on is absolute torture. This show is 100% shipping the chihaya x arata relationship, even though there is no explicit romance introduced yet, it's pretty much a given. Hopefully something good happens for taichi eventually... lol |
| For real, I get heart-stabbed everytime Taichi is. Its natural to see the the "regular perfect boy becoming a friend of the main characters" on this type of show, be it in series/movies/anime. But the way Taichi grew is something out of the ordinary. He have shown to be the strongest guy on the show, with such a strong moral and sense that couldnt be corrupt by neither all the "fame and fortune" he have nor by the constant "ingratitude" life has thrown at him over and over. Chihaya can end up with Arata for now i care now. Both are just ok and deserve each other. Taichi deserves someone as awesome as him. |

| intense episode :D Arata is back!! i agree that Chihaya seems to be affix so much on Arata T__T poor Taichi T__T im actually surprised Arata lost, then again he hasn't been playing for 18 months, so it's very realistic he won't have his godly skills yet Taichi and Arata Bro Love :P Chihaya eager to play Arata :P Kana chan mad about Chihaya skipping study!! she's soo lovely and cute!!!! and wow Arata seems really relieve to see Taichi and Chihaya not being couple yet. Taichi doesn't want to go the shortcut way, im sure he wants to do this as legit as possible. poor him though, have everything, looks, money, grades, but only no Chihaya T___T Arata seems exhausted too! if they really cut out some certain scenes in the anime, especially Arata scenes about Chihaya then i am disappointed T___T they should bring those scenes more in season 2!! |

| Arata is back while still very weak the strength in him is clearly seen! While Taichi is still stuck in the B class he got defeated in round 3 already... I do wonder when he'll advance! The moment when Arata wondered if they were a couple was pretty funny. |
