| Beautifully executed, the smooth seamless transition between CGI to 2D like in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It's great to see the manga come to life in anime. So far so good, nothing skipped as of yet. |

| As a potterhead I can clarify that Edward sensei is Snaip. Bro would've slain him if the sword was provided from the get go. Nonetheless damn this fight's action scenes were marvelous ngl Goosebumps  |

| Animation was not as good as in the first episode, but if the rest of the show is like in this episode, I'll be happy. Also, there was some good OST. |
| Actually, I'm going to have a difference in opinion and say that Professor Edward is portrayed well. I don't think he's necessarily being mean to Will specifically. He doesn't seem like a bad guy but rather driven by his standards of what it means to be a Magia Vander. I mean it's almost written by definition that one needs to be able to use magic since it contains the word magia. Silly example but it's like trying to become idk the greatest blacksmith but you have no actual ability to forge weapons. And then imagine your whole life goal is to receive the title. You strived for it and get knocked back down only to find that someone who can't use magic wants to become one. It's making light of one's ambitions and efforts. Edward seems like a well-written character for now. I think his actions are completely justified. AND it's clear he held back and made it somewhat fair by using only 2 spells although they were powerful as he had explained, it's better to perfect a few spells than to know a bunch that haven't been mastered. |

| Glad to say the animation team is still cooking with this show. Another simple episode but a solid one. You have the jerk dark magic teacher Edward fight Will himself to prove to himself that Will should be allowed to stay here. You have him reading history and getting inspired by his possible dwarf relatives. Looks like next episode we will see Will's roomate and another new character. Like how they're drip feeding us characters like with Head Master this episode. |
| The teacher Edward should be the one expelled from the school. It's one thing to schedule a test, but another to conduct that test with no warning and no allowance for the other to be ready or anything. And while it's not something he would know, once Will had his sword, Edward apparently had zero chance of winning. On a positive note, both the OP and the animation are fantastic. |

| Honestly who's to say he doesn't actually have magic? Maybe his super strength is just physical enhancement, and it's just that no one else in their society has used magic in that way at that point in time. Makes more sense then "tiny dudes just ridiculously strong". The story/show at this point is so early on there's multiple routes they could take it. The dude could even end up being part dwarf or something since it mentioned the 1 dwarf fought like him. |
| Am I the only one who thinks it's terrible writing for Will not to have any weapon for a battle against Ed? That doesn't even make sense, whether he could use magic or not he should have at least any weapon... |
| Gave props to the show for killing off Thrift Store Crabbe and Goyle last episode but they actually survived being splattered against the rocks. Guess I should've expected that with magic but kind of lame. Makes the monster Will beat seem less impressive. This went almost exactly how you'd expect, the only real surprise was the headmistress playing Snape like a fiddle knowing he'd lose. Sly old lady. I also thought Snape would dock Will all his points for using a sword. Less petty than I thought he'd be. Colette, chick in the tower, now his roommate. Will's working on quite the harem. Still painfully generic with the plot but wonderful music and action. Nothing wrong with that. |

| To be expected, the follow up episode to the bombastic first episode doesn't quite reach the same highs, but they definitely kept the great action going. Not to mention the stellar animation. There was a reflection motif going on throughout the episode, some shots gave us a glimpse of what other characters see, others seemed to reflect the hopes/dreams of Will. I'd be willing to bet that the Headmistress knows a lot more about Will than she lets on. She was willing to let him test with a sword when he first entered the academy and seems to still want him to prove himself to doubters like Professor Snape. Once again, great action, cinematography, direction, etc. Yes, the story is basic, but I've been impressed with how it's been told. We also get Will's confession that he's in love with Elfaria, and that's his reason for fighting. I'm actually relieved it wasn't for "a promise we made to each other". Him being in love with her is a far more compelling reason. |

Will could've subdued Professor Edward in a matter of moments, if he was given with his sword from the get go.

| @Ricky16 Let's not forget that the professor was also limiting himself to two spells one for offense and defense (low level at that) but yeah not a fair fight. |
| The way Will expresses his true reason for climbing the tower in front of Edward is so cool. I love it! The fight choreography and everything else was satisfying nonetheless. Can't wait for more! |

| The roommate is sus... It would have be over easily if Will had his sword at the start. They always have to play dirty, Edwards gets his wand but Will couldn't have his sword wtf. Is Elfaria locked in the tower or something? It's weird that she just left him. I'm not sure if I missed Kiki getting hurt or if she is connected to Will somehow |
