So Lugh never had to kill Dia after all, he was really only meant to save her and fake her death instead. The just used the assassination of dia as a form of shock value for the end of the last episode. So Lugh doesn't have to face a life-altering dilemna, and Dia lives. Yaaayyy... I'm so happy...

Oh so the assassination was actually a rescue mission in disguise, nice.

Damn, poor Tarte. It's impossible not to feel bad for her :'(

Intriguing post-credits scene, I wonder what Maha discovered.

who care's its just mobs bruh. not a character you care.

not important.

If the action scene is in the forefront it matters a lot. It was real shit, jarring to watch. I care more about story so it is not such a big problem to me, but as I said it was jarring.
‘It may be admitted that if it were possible for us to have so deep an insight into a human's way of thinking, as it shows itself both through inner and outer actions, that every, even the least incentive to these actions and all external occasions which affect them, were so known to us, then his future conduct could be predicted as certainly as the appearance of a solar or a lunar eclipse.’ Critique of Practical Reason, p. 230 of the Rosenkranz.

I do not know why I went into a rant last episode, but sure enough Dia is saved. I'm sure that the plan will work, ain't at Count Viecone?

So the same kind of plan that Lugh is thinking is what his father did to his mother when they were having a big trouble, interesting parallel there. And also Dia is Lugh's cousin apparently....sweet Bama baby (but no joke I don't really care about it). They made a huge deal about Talt though with that running scene, I know these two did the running thing before but somehow they put it in just to flesh out Talt encouraging herself to be Lugh's slave, like what the fuck. And the point where Lugh left her and said he loves Dia...umm yeah it's not really been 5 years since the "I love Emilia" thing, was it?

Lugh's snipe and mortar thingy is actually cool, made way for the Viecone army to strike back with ease. All that's left now is to save Dia properly with a dummy body. To see them two again, and with Dia's father at the back, I'm guessing we'll have a conversation with him next episode right out at the bat, but that last scene though. Maha with her trustee found out something about the holy relic, and probably the assassin, it's not a good news. I'm guessing those two are going to battle hard next week, should be fun. And with the way things going, I guess we'll have a Season 2, unless we're going into an original ending. My thoughts for this show, I will say in next week.

Ah, so thats the reason behind the request. Looks like i've been in a massive wrong take previously, so the episode really take their time explaining whats goin on. Its actually not complicated. The initial relationship between Viekone House and Tuatha De should've been a hint toward the progression of their story until this point. I somehow forget about that, and, well, glad that they explain it with a little time they had this episode.

Damsel in distress for Dia might be frustating, between the other girls, because of the plot looks very generic considering its flow like that. But at least its way more normal and kinda be more enjoyable rather than such an edgy plot with Tarte, or even worse with Maha previously. While they should've making the plot be more smooth, i think with the time constraint, the episode is fine.

I really think Tarte won't be doin such a waste of act, and being left alone like that while Lugh actually not needed that slipstream ride. But, that little scene actually giving her a little monologue about what her thinking toward Lugh, as her honesty. The cry was about as expected coming from her.

The way funky megami, which unexpectedly just a tool of some unknown system, talk to those system kinda suggest she might be doin something dirty to Lugh after meeting the hero. Expect it to being more explore if there's another season. The announcement of the continuation of these is a must.

So many people complaining about bad CGI but tbh although its generic I like it that they actually spend the budget on something else, a small price to be paid. I mean yeah sure it's cringy but at least it's better than alot of the shows out there with deformed CGI, *cough* spider* cough.

Back to the show, only 1 more episode to go until the end of the season, looking at the reception and popularity it's getting it's possible that we're gonna get a sequel? So far it's doing a pretty decent job adapting the LN and I would definitely like to see more screentime for the girls getting animated.

Lugh got assigned another assassination task but honestly, it feels like they are forcing him into his role. This episode was pushing him to his limits and was also an emotional one for Tarte.

It's just a shame that even if Lugh doesn't take on his assassin role, others will do it in his place. Scary world.

You realize that was all fake right? No one else is getting the job and the real job for his family only is to fake her assassination and save her.

Man... this is a complex situation for Lugh. On one side, he's assigned a mission to assassinate the person he loves, Dia and on the other hand, he has his father's orders that he can obviously refuse but then his father will assassinate her himself. This is such a bad situation. What's with all these animes getting NTR'd recently?

Also, I had my suspicions about Dia being one of them because of the silver hair they all share from the first episode but now it all makes sense. Once again, Lugh showed his sniper skills in this episode as well. Lugh is just too strong in this world. I'm just glad that Dia is alright.

Assassinating her is a fake job. The real job is to fake her assassination and save her. Probably the one job perfect for him. It was sent specifically to his family because they are friends. His father said there was no way he could make it there and have enough energy to do it himself.

Great episode, as I thought Lugh wasn’t actually going to kill Dia, tho I didn’t know it would go a death faking route, but I like it. Highlight of the episode tho, was Tarte running at ludicrous speed for Lugh to save Dia, it was sad when she broke down crying after he left due to knowing Lugh loves Dia and not her, but it was a very good moment, I guess she quite literally carried Lugh like he said in the episode lol, Tarte is the MVP this time. Also those CGI soldiers looked pretty wonky but they weren’t shown too often to notice it looking bad for the most part so it wasn’t unbearable.

I picked up this show because I was intrigued by the title and nothing else.

After watching this for a few weeks, Is it just me or is this show just really really boring? I get that there's anime tiddies and fan service and all that. But the characters are just so one Dimentional. The girls are only interesting for their looks and have very stereotypical personalities and lazily written backgrounds.

And Luge is just perfect, perfect with girls, perfect at killing, perfect at rescuing the girls, perfect in starting a new life perfect in everything.

Luge's Mom is just an overgrown teenage girl that just worships Luge. And Luge's Dad's lines can basically be summed up as "Luge, here is your next challenge are you sure you're up for it? Luge, you have far exceeded my expectations. You are amazing."

Looking back, I would have loved if they had made the show premised on the pre-reincarnation world. He is very stoic, curt, etc. And they also had elements of modern warfare such as Drones.

I probably done with this show.

Ngl, I was expecting a grander end of the season. Guess we end of with Lugh gathering the team together after 12 episodes, and maybe a teaser about what the deal is with reincarnating hundreds of people.

Tarte rejection is brutal, but I hope she has a proper character arc eventually and develops some depth to that character. Same with Maha. As they both currently stand, both are a pretty bland characters.

I know that I repeated it a lot but this has already gotten very tedious these secondary stories of the three girls that serve for character development but do not serve to delve much since the ´first chapter that showed that they were working with LUGH killing all TENSION as it shows that none of the characters disappear or die making this tedious and boring.

Surely at the end of the last chapter they will say more information about the plot with the hero leaving everything for a second season a very risky idea since this only makes new viewers knowing that nothing of the main plot is deepened and everything is just development of character skip it and just wait for the second season that I hope it has or it was all a waste of time.

Hey guys, just wanted to post a recap to give yall a solid foundation for episode 11 and 12, in case you may be asking "Why are we suddenly in the middle of a civil war"?

EDIT after episode: Dear lord that CGI in the middle of the battle was BAD. Sure I knew they had to animate a large army, but this CGI is as bad as the Horse-drawn carriages we have seen throughout this anime!

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are saving all their budget for episode 12, as it requires some heavy animation... hopefully I am right.

What I will say I am impressed with is Tarte’s running scene. Her soldifiying her resolve for Lugh to be "the ultimate tool" for him was a good touch, and great for her character.

One thing I am disappointed with is the anime cutting the dialogue that takes place when Dia and Lugh reunite:

Dia: "I knew it. I knew you would come for me"
Lugh: "Of course I would. I made a promise."
Dia: "Silly. You remember such an old promise?"
(Dia runs into Lugh's arms, embracing him)
Lugh: (internal thought) "I have come for you, my princess."

Be sure to watch after the ending theme this week. It is a small after-credits scene, but it has to do with the Divine Treasures, as Maha's information network has tracked down who owns the Magic Spear "Gáe Bolg".

You can read this before or after episode 11. It won't ruin your viewing experience.

If you want to read this event in the Manga, it starts in Chapter 7.1, and ends in Chapter 10. (where I expect the anime to end, as Chapter 11 starts the next Novel's events).

The Light Novel would be "Chapter 20, The Assassin Makes a Decision"

In episode 10, we started with Lugh and Tarte coming back from a private island Lugh had purchased. The reason is not given to us in the anime, but in the Light Novel it is suggested

Afterwards, Dia and Lugh go on a date. We get an anime-original episode with the date, but it works wonderfully as it explains the conflict that starts at the end of episode 10:

Dia's country is taking part in a civil war. The conflict is in far away at the moment, but we learn at the end of the episode that all the "random citizens" around Dia were all soldiers.

During the very beginning of episode 10, when Dia and Lugh are first talking about the war, Lugh mentions a man with a "Divine Treasure" (potentially) in the Rebel Army. We are not told the person's name or identity, but Lugh thinks that it could be the Hero... and if he is the hero, no human army can stop him.

Divine Treasures are weapons (think superweapon-level threats) created by the Gods, and not capable of being created by man. Lugh had Maha track down one of these Divine Treasures. The treasure in question is "Gáe Bolg", and is thought to be a magic spear. We are not told anything but its name when Maha brings it up, so it could be brought up in episode 11.

Cut to the after credits scene of episode 10:

Lugh's Dad receives a message from Dia's father, and is given the task of asking Lugh to assassinate Dia. At first, Lugh is shown to be visibly shaken (in the Manga, this is much more visible, but the LN has this as much more "internal thoughts", with Lugh being more calm and collected on the outside).
Turns out Dia's dad took sides in a civil war involving their kingdom (this gets mentioned throughout episode 10), and was on the losing side. He gave up half his territory, and that was supposed to be the end of it... but with Dia being of marrying age and a genius mage, her bloodline potential was sought. Dia was going to give herself up to appease the opposing faction, but her loyal servants would not accept this, and "took them hostage" by locking them up in Dia's room.
Lugh is then given the task of "assassinating" Dia, but in reality, he just needs to fake her death, and bring her to the Tuathe De estate.

Lugh is the only one that can accomplish this task, as it requires someone to get to the Viekone Estate in less than 24 hours. Lugh's dad Cian will need 2 days to accomplish this, and that will be too late.

Cian, Lugh's dad, has actually done an "assassination of passion" so to speak as well, for his wife Ersi. She is related to Dia, as she is from the Viekone family as well. You are actually given a small hint of this connection during Dia's introduction in episode 2. When Ersi dresses up Lugh in a girl's outfit, Dia comments "She's always been a little..." As if she knows Ersi is a little eccentric.

These are the events you are seeing in episode 11: Lugh has accepted the job of "assassinating" Dia, and had created enough of a distraction to buy himself time to enact his plan...

But like the final assassination in his previous life that led to this own death, plans don't quite goes 100% as expected...

What do we have in store for episode 12? I am looking forward to your reactions!

So here ya go. If you were needing a refresher on the events in question for episode 11, this is all you need to know!

How about citing the person that you stole this from or mention that you took this from somewhere else rather than pretending that this is your original contribution to the discussion :]

Other differences between manga and ln, fantastic.
The anime wants me to hate the original story so much, heh.
Unless that part where the "faking Dia's assassination" was truly not Lugh's plan in the LN. The manga felt way better, with Lugh coming up with the plot instead.

Also in the part where Tarte opens the path for Lugh when running, in the manga she doesn't tell him she's almost out of energy, she just goes down and falls and he thanks her and runs past her (y'know, like a badass baton pass scene). In the anime we have a useless 30 second scene of him catching her mid air and stopping. Uggh lmao.

...good grief.

There's no way he's actually gonna kill Dia. He's probably gonna go rescue her. Girls IRL would not be like this bro. Probably the weirdest anime to compare this to, but this whole scenario gives me OreGairu vibes. All the promises and stuff.

It's impossible for me to not keep noticing how so many Japanese people were reincarnated to that world (including THE GREATEST TEACHER ON EARTH who was also a Woman) and Kirito-Stu and only Kirito-Stu is the only one who introduces moisturizer for women to puit on their face, chocolate, guns, the ability to write spells and stuff (The Greatest Teacher On Earth aparently wasn't capable of that).

I don't see how any one who went into this and stuck around after the first episode with the expectation this was going to be at least fairly well scripted could enjoy this.

The writer isn't even true to the character established in the first episode and in the reincarnation meeting. He's supposedly a soul who considers the effects of every thing that will happen before he does some thing. That is one of the things which made him the best assassin in the world. We saw how much he planned and thought ahead when he was alive.

But reincarnated all through the anime he carelessly knowledge dumps information on how to make Nukes, How to make guns and bullets, etc without even one frame of animation or internal monologue to show he's considered what sharing some of these highly destructive tools of death could do to this world where there is no technology.

He was shown to be some one who would consider things like this when he was asking why the hero should even be killed.

They might as well have made him a middleschooler from episode 1 who liked playing shooting games got reincarnated and carelessly tells every thing to the first girl he had a crush on. That would be more consistent to the character.

All this killing is pointless. I'm pretty sure being reincarnated to kill people needlessly wasn't on his agenda. With every thing he knows. Including when he trained as a scientist in the real world to assassinate a scientist he can make knock out gas. Boom. Knock all those soldiers who are just following orders out. Who knows they will think some one used some Earth magic or some thing or some spell went wrong. Whatever. Fake the assassination. And do the job without unneccessary life taking.

Sure if he was a Shooting Game hardcore addict without the science background it would be more consistent with the character to be like a gamer. If this was the world's greatest soldier who we saw previously making the mission into a warzone would be well within character.

The motivations of the writers are muddled and so the motivations of the characters they wrote are inconsistent.

They ran out of ideas bad this episode. Evidence of this is the flashback of Tarte they used and used again and then used again with the same dialogue (slightly changed). When you're padding an episode that bad when it's only the 10th episode and it's right after a "beach" (hot spring/ slice of life / date) episode you are clearly struggling with your series composition, your screenplay and your story.

I didn't want to give it a 1 out of 10 but the forced romance really pushed it 4 points down... for an assassin who uses emotion manipulation so often, they gave us zero development to him opening up to the idea of loving someone. Then they have to reveal they were cousins as if it wasn't bad before. Lastly, this girl is okay with sacrificing her PEOPLE for her fake death? Imagine being so happy that your "lover" is killing people who risked their lives to protect you for the sake of a fake death? Worst waifu. And I'm 'supposed' to believe this girl is a top 5 mage at the age of 10 when she is so helpless? The bad writing is vomit worthy.

Yep, knew it. It had to be incest in some way because it felt like it. Plus she literally just look like Lugh's mother. But ok

And poor Tarte, don't be sad we still rooting for you! And Maha as well

And now we can cross legit incest from the list

I am somewhat surprised Lugh never figured this out, especially since Dia already gave it away earlier

Hate to say it but this show is surprisingly decent, the harem and romance parts are handled well and the MC isnt a wet piece of cardboard either. Would not have expected this from the redo of healer author.

It is for Madoka alone." - Homura
or how I would descripe Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica.
