Oh wow!! I really like the extra screentime for La Squadra! I've always had a fondness for them but this was much better handled here than in the manga imo, as it makes them feel less like individual one note villains and more like a group/the villain family trope as they're supposed to be. Melone's lavender hair really caught me off guard lol I prefer his blond hair but the lavender makes him look pretty cute.

It was a great episode, David Pro seems to be really in touch with what the fans want and they've been delivering pleasant surprises.

I really hope La Squadra get a few more anime only scenes of them as a group as to make them seem much more like an antagonist group rather than a set of monster of the week villains

Totally, that could very well happen and that would be neat, fits in well with how his stand works. But it's not how the characters or we would act, it just depends on how the author fleshes out the story. Maybe he thinks of the idea of putting her in a wall, but he creates a stand ability that could work around that issue. He might not even think of the idea.

I would agree with you on the outcome, seeing as that would be the most logical route, but I can also think of several ways I would / could write the story where Trish does get kidnapped.

- Trish kidnapped, rush to save her before the boss finds out.

- Trish kidnapped, dies, now Giorno and crew has to survive and topple the boss through another route.

- Trish kidnapped, unable to locate her, but she herself works with the Squadra to overthrow the boss through past story elements. Ie. Hates her father, trauma, revenge, greed.

- Giorno uses Trish to get info on the boss without the crews knowledge.

- The boss may not even care about his daughter, simply using her as a tool to weed out traitors in the mafia. Acting like she's important.

Random ideas that just popped into my head not fleshed out, but with a little time could definitely be viable stories in my opinion. I agree that if the story is set in stone, we KNOW the outcome 100% it would be boring. But I find with all these scenarios I thought of in the matter of five minutes, he could for sure have surprises we wouldn't see coming with loads more planning time.

From all the options, I prefer the third, since it would make Trish more interesting as a character and an enemy of the main cast.

Great episode. This fight was really thrilling in the manga, Narancia's Stand power was revealed.

I was expecting Narancia's backstory today, not La Squadra's. Or the butcher, for that matter. What a pleasant surprise; almost that whole episode was anime only content.

La Squadra's backstory was real nice, it gives a glance of how menacing Big Boss is, which is good because he lacked that in the manga. At this rate

This episode was so well-done, the La Squadra entrance was epic and their backstory was well thought out. Imo the build-up of how dangerous the boss is made it epic.

An episode that focuses more on Narancia. Cool.

Formaggio showed up this episode and I actually kinda like his personality considering how chill he is.

I loved the flashback scene when the boss killed those two usless characters and tellling people not to mess with him.

Finally had the opportunity to catch up on JoJo today and I have to say DP have been killing it this season so far. All of the additions they have made have only made me love Part 5 more (although I do still wish they had animated Trish's initial outfit).

The flashback was simply fantastic. I love that the Execution Team is getting more time to shine, as it better sets them up as a rival force to Team Bucciarati. Sorbet and Gelato's executioners were also a pleasant surprise; it makes sense that the boss would send them to do the job. All of the talk about the Narcotics Team we've been getting gives me hope that we may see PHF animated too (please David Production, we'd all be grateful 😎).

Look at everyone at that table; they knew exactly what was going through Melone's head there.

Man, Part 5 must be David Production's favorite part because the love and care it's getting is ridiculous. I love, love, love the anime original content here, and think it greatly improves part five and it's certainly more effective than what Araki did imo. In the manga, we really only got the Sorbet/Gelato bits, with none of La Squadra detailed here and personally, that really only serves to A. Give a brief glimpse into the motivations of La Squadra but mostly B. to highlight the power of the Boss and the risk of betraying him. But in the anime? Well, it still provides those two but it also makes La Squadra immediately feel like an actual group of characters rather than a gauntlet of Stand users to mow down (like everyone in say Part 3 sans the few recurring ones), seeming them interact and establishing some personality quirks (Pesci & Melone in particular) is a great way to both hype up eventually encounters with them but again, make La Squadra feel more like a unit of people which in turns makes what happens to Sorbet & Gelato a lot more effective, since we're now privy to the facial reactions of the crew during the discovery of Sorbet. Really great addition, and it's something that I really do think help enhances the whole of Part 5.

As for the Little Feet fight itself, it's a lot of of fun. I really love the decision this fight makes to put us in Formaggio's perspective, it's a really cool way to make the fight feel different and introduce us to Aerosmith's abilities. This fight is one of my favorite in this part, primarily for what's to come but we've also seen a good deal why I love it, and that's the way it incorporates the environment. One of the best elements in JoJo's is that there fights are often geographically contextualized, it's not just the abilities that decide the battles but the landscape themselves play a major role in determining the outcome. No part of JoJo better utilizes the environment than Part 5, which as a whole, has the best fight construction of the series, and I'm really excited for next week because there's a lot of fun stuff coming up.

Well, there IS always the possibility that Narancia could have detected him with Aerosmith in transit. They sent him specifically because of his CO2 radar, after all.

Watching Formaggio desperately trying to escape from Aerosmith right after the tables turned was pretty intense. Despite their personalities, especially Narancia's, they're both quick thinkers that used clever tricks that were only made possible by their abilities. The idea of a deadly warplane just looming overhead searching for you and waiting to shoot you down, never to leave your side as long as you breathe was already terrifying enough but that warplane sound just made it more unsettling. It would've been the end of it but he reverted back to his original size right on time to minimize the damage oof.

Reading the comments of the previous episodes made me excited to see La Squadra but I didn't expect that they'd have this much exposure time in this episode and it was great. If that Little Feet assassination scene with the car's an anime-only addition, I'm so amazed because it was super brutal. Formaggio crushing that lady along with the politician might've made that guy a bit upset but I have the feeling he's the type to just like the legs and the legs alone. Sorbet and Gelato's horrifying deaths were exactly why you shouldn't get on the boss' bad side and the preserved butchered parts were so grotesque that I personally think that they really shouldn't have taken the opportunity to overthrow him even if it showed itself right in front of them.

Damn! This season has to be the most brutal and savage JoJo yet.
Also, some weird looking characters in this one. First Polpo. Now Pesci.

Pretty fascinating season of JoJo overall. My interest is a lot more piqued than it was back in the early episodes of Diamond is Unbreakable.

Ah, the shrinking ability is weak, but yeah, there are a couple of ways it can be used. Truly, trying to uncover the boss's identity is impossible, he doesn't want anyone prying. Interesting backstory.

More of Narancia's mission? Cool! But La Squadra's backstory stole this episode. If the boss is this Part's main villain, which is very, very likely, then we could see how menacing and ruthless he is.

Narancia also proved he might be uneducated, but he has ability to think out a solution to problems he encounters.

Too bad the map of Europe showed in this episode was... well, a bit from the future, lol. The action of this show is set in 2001, so seeing Montenegro on the map that could be even dated to 1999 ("2 years ago" information) really pierced my eyes, haha. And some countries had awkward borders (i.e. Poland). Apart from that, this episode was great. I love to watch Aerosmith in action. :)

So after I binged the fuck out of part 3 and 4 in a mere couple of days, I finally reached Part 5. The start was pretty decent but I still felt like my expectations were not reached. To be quite honest here my expectations were insanely high since Part 5 was the reason I started JoJo in the first place. I saw some key visuals and some of the character designs and I also heard the opening song (Fighting Gold) and immediately fell in love with it. I knew I wanted to watch this. So it saddens me quite a bit that I feel a little underwhelmed so far.

Not really sure what to think about the main, and some of the side characters. Narancia and Mista have super boring stands to be honest. Story has been the strong point so far but everything as a whole still feels lackluster as of now.

The fight between Mista and the other guy on the truck was actually kind of boring and the same goes for this fight. Kinda weird how they revealed all of the assassin group members so easily.

Really missing Josuke and Crazy Diamond right now. Crazy Diamond is by far the coolest Stand ever.

Well I really hope that things will pick up later, so far this is decent but it does have the potential to become better that's for sure.

Most shonen anime would just show things in the pov of the protagonist, about how he's struggling with the enemy and how he came to a conclusive plan to finally defeat him. Always like that. But JoJo does it different by showing the pov of the bad guy as if to say that the main character sometimes have the upper hand and it's the bad guy who has to come up with a plan to win. I love how this episode is a roller coaster.
