What the fuck was this out-of-nowhere cheesy mini-arc filler episode, including comicbook villain, fighting at a wedding ceremony and all of that.

This episode was horrible.

The only good thing were the last two minutes.

This! It was so out of nowhere and didn't flow at all except for the ending. They definitely rushed this.

This was a great episode that become a good episode because of the last two minutes. Mira got cucked so fucking hard. She loses her sword and gets job out. WTF man?

Not a filler episode though as this was important but jesus......I really people would stop saying filler but forget that it is tying back into shit eariler. Just because it isn't a fight doesn't make it filler.

Also, I hope this ends the GOH> Tower of God debate. Tower of God is the better show.
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon.

This is like watching a clip show. It also feels super...shallow? that the only thing the show implies Mira sacrificed for her craft was wearing fashionable clothing and getting her nails done.

Well that proposal really came out of nowhere, so there had to be reason why that guy came up to Mira. I mean with the influence he has it was a definitely a good chance for her to finally make the breakthrough she wanted for so long. Unfortunately that also means she marries someone she doesn't love. At least we got to see a little bit of her past, which is always nice.

Of course Mori just the type of guy he is would obviously try to intervene :D

Damn Mira looked so pretty in her wedding dress, almost like a different character. Ngl the way Mori and Daewi walked up to that guy looked so bad ass. We also heard why that guy wanted to marry Mira so badly. Didn't expected him being a member of that cult we saw a couple episodes ago.

Seems like Daewi lost his friend? Not 100% sure, but judging by his reaction it could be the case. It's sad that the fight between him and Mira was so short even if I don't like how brutal he went for Miras injury. I can understand how he must feel. Losing someone important is beyond words. But it's not Miras fault. I personally think he shouldn't have fought at all with such a shitty situation he's in.

Mira's engagement story came out of nowhere, and the punk still got away with her sword.

And the show got really dark in the last 2 minutes.

Also anyone else feel like this episode was very rushed?

Yep, definitely the weakest episode so far. That pacing was fucked up a lot and confusing as all hell. That marriage was so out of nowhere, took place most immediately and holy shit what was that at the very end? Where's the rest of the fight where Mira was supposed to show her marvelous way of the sword?

Bruh. You just don't shove random things in one episode like that and hope for this to work.

Is this being rushed or what? That wedding was so out of the blue, so random and it went by almost as fast as it came. And they saved the girl from that bogus wedding only to have her beaten up almost right after. What? Is this really how it went in the webtoon? Or is it the director of this anime adaptation? The pacing is just, idk, not right for some reason.

Hilarious that Daewi was only just saving Mira from the wedding, and minutes later he's basically killing her. Incredible tone whiplash.

If this level of pacing continues, this season will be a struggle. Perhaps the show should've been in two cours.

At the same time, huge Food Wars energy, which I will never complain about.

Would've been a nice episode if the show bothered developing these characters' relationship beforehand, it felt stupid and unconvincing because they barely know each other.
Also the last scene was completely rushed and out of place, the fight between Dae-Wi and Mira should've had its own episode (or at least half an episode) instead of being thrown at the end, this show is already mediocre but the directors have to mess up whatever potential it has.
And the thing that pisses me off the most is the power level, why are these characters so powerful right off the bat? What's the point of a battle shounen if there's no growth?

I'm glad everybody else seems to have disliked this episode, too.

Because it wasn't good. Nothing about it was good. Three separate storylines in one episode, horribly connected. The whole marriage thing was bizarre. Goggle head wanting to stop the wedding is fine, except he didn't actually have a good reason to initially want to stop it. Then the bride changed her mind so easily. Everything felt so superficial. It was like watching a facade, but the insides were empty.

And the people running the tournament all have JoJo "stands" right? They're super powerful. How did this sword wedding guy have a stand? Is he that powerful? If he is, how did the girl defeat him so easily? Wtf? And then the chick completely got owned in the tournament? Lol whatevs. Did she still have the abdominal wound from the wedding? Did those nano bots not treat her?

In one of the previous episodes I said this show is only interesting because goggle boy. Because apparently he has some great, mysterious power hidden away. But if this show is going to waste its time on side characters - sword girl and karate boy are side characters - then I'm going to lose interest. You go from the magical fruit and stands last episode to a bullshit wedding this one? Gtfoh.

Dropped this show to a 6/10 overall.

This episode was so bad, I get that they needed to compress the original chapters for the wedding+Hans (daewi) development to fit the anime episode limits but they could have structured it better. e.g 4 would be the build up of the wedding, backstory with a sprinkle of daewi friend to foreshadow and then the next episode they conclude that ish. OR they could have split the two, 1 for the wedding another for Daewi's friend almost dying, Daewi's emotional outburst/breakdown and a full scene of the fight :/ but that is just my opinion

Everything was sooooo russsshheeed. I was so lost and couldn't sympathise/get into Mira's situation properly. I just sat there and felt that everything was just awkward and went by quickly.

Mira looked so pretty... 😳
The eyecatches really remind me of Champloo. What Daewi did at the end was just... nuts. He totally lost it, even though it was because of the guy in the hospital. To do that to those guys who annoyed him at work, and then Mira... I’m just shook. I liked it, I didn’t expect what happened to happen. The subversion was good.

On one side bit weird suddenly having this whole wedding ordeal but on the other hand it focused on Mira more and her struggles with keeping the Moon light sword thing alive. I guess next episode is going to focus more on Daewi and him trying to save his ill friend.

that CEO dude was sketchy from the start. Also it was a very rushed episode but I liked it cause it showed Han go all out against Mira as to win this tournament and get financial support for his dying friend. Also the mysterious cult members seem to have the special stand/susano type power which boosts their battle power.

I gave this episode a very generous "okay" because it didn't bore me overall, but objectively it was really bad written and paced.

First, how fast Mira accepted the proposal without even questioning the intention of Seongjin was so unrealistic. If she was so desperate to accept it without a suspect, for the sake of her family sword style, then she shouldn't have changed her mind so fast after hearing two words from her friends.

This is the typical situation where one of the MC loses their way and makes irrational choices after experiencing a certain suffering that make they lose their mind. Often it can be followed by a break up with the other MCs, and after the situation is resolved, they come back together with their relationship reinforced. This can improve the story by a lot, but in order to work this must occur when the relationships are developed and explored more in depth, which is not this case obviously.

A scenario like that should happen somewhere in the second half of the series maybe as a mini-arc to create the right tension, but instead, starting and resolving at the 4th episode, only with 3 previous episodes, this felt rushed and out of place.

An epic fight between Mira and Daewi where she is defeated (but fought valorously) would have been the perfect pretext to build it up, since she obviously wants to win the tournament to shed some light on her sword style. On the opposite, the fight was almost totally skipped with Mira just brutally wrecked by Daewi who wants to save his friend at all costs (one thing that make sense at least). The fight system is already poor : character just kick each other with no particular mechanics involved, as it wasn't enough they cut off what could have been the first actually interesting match, which resulted in a big pile of nothing, how annoying.

They barely know each other and the wedding crash came outta nowhere.

Wasting time for an asspull wedding crash made made Daewi's changes of motivation and the fight too rushed, the fact that they fit all those scenes (Friend's sickness getting worse, Daewi snapped at the bullies, Daewi and Mira's fight) in the span of mere minutes made it laughable

Very good episode, I'm not going to judge Mira for taking the “easy way”... everyone achieves their dreams the way they want, as long as you don't regret it later but good thing she changed her mind, it was a trap.... if they want the bearer and the sword it must be because they are important and/or strong although currently it is not the case, Han is going through a complicated moment but that will never justify hurting a friend like that... almost killed her
