Yea it seem like people who just mad it don’t look like JJK because of Sakadays being one of jump biggest products which I mean.. I kinda get, but like in a vacuum the animation is solid 🤷🏾♂️

Where did anyone say they want JJK or DS animation? Like bro both of you are the most toxic people out there because you are dismissing criticism by spreading false information… Like get out of here fake fan
@Confused_100 calling us toxic without knowing me is just stupid as hell, c'mon why you are sad that we like a show and you don't? |

I never said you were toxic for enjoying the anime. Again trying to put words in people’s mouths to dismiss any word. Keep projecting there, bud.
And yes you are a fake fan because you literally created a fake narrative to dismiss any constructive criticism for wanting a better adaptation of any kind, acting like this is the complaint. No1 asked for JJK or DS animation, that fake narrative are made by fake fans who don’t want this to get any good treatment whatsoever
@Confused_100 let's say it is a fake narrative, but it is real, ever since 2019, and the release of DS, people have been like this, they want god tier flashy animation, but not every studio has the talent and time to do that, and DS is not having a good animation since the middle of the season, just look at first episodes CGI, with PS2 graphics. I don't hate on DS, It is just that since it is UFOTABLE, people will call it a masterpiece. |

Animation isn't great but it's an enjoyable show and all the casual anime friends I have really like it. Will it win awards? No, but as long as it's enjoyable I can have cope for better animation in season 2. My real only complaint is with the editing. It feels like they added this grainy filter to it that was unnecessary.
Still, I'm very much enjoying the adaptation so far, but I do agree with those who think it can be better.

@AmirKazeXD so? Pretty much every anime/studio suffers from prod problems,
Even Solo Leveling is going through it does that mean the quality of solo leveling have gone down to match Sakadays?

@M-T_S Yeah I mentioned that the industry is toxic and not all the studios are affected the same, for some it will be like BL S2 and Uzumaki, for some it will be like Solo Leveling. Solo leveling also has more budget than SD, it is so obvious. |

I enjoyed this anime's art and color direction making it look like it came straight out of the late 2000s. Reminds me of Beelzebub or Gintama. I am one easy person to please and I enjoy the fights, the new anime fans just think Kimetsu no Yaiba level of animation is the norm.
@hanbagateriyaki that's what I always say. Sakamoto Days is not perfect, I agree but it is not trash. |

Much better ep than the second. The action was exciting and I like Shin as a character. My only doubt is why they made the chinese girl disappear? wasn't she supposed to also protect and help Shin? Hopefully there's a realistic explanation in the next ep. |

It's pretty rare to see a fight on top of a roller coaster... I can't even remember the last time I saw an anime with that kind of fight... {Maybe in some old anime I watched many years ago}.
@Mari_Marx Baki had a fight like this. It reminded me a lot of Baki actually when I was watching this episode. |

This was a great episode! The scene where Shin jumped off the roller coaster was so cool and the fight that followed was very fun to watch. Especially when they both made it on the stage with the crowd watching was so funny because they didn't seem to notice or even care that 2 dudes flew in from the sky and crashed onto the stage😂 It was really smart of Shin to use his powers to listen to Sakamoto telling him the moves to win the fight! Overall, awesome fight scene and awesome episode!!! Also, Aoi and Hana are so cute🥺 |

Most of CGI there is used for either background images or effects for attacks. The expectations aren’t that high otherwise people would think Solo leveling animation is mid lol. You'd want to make Sakamoto's skinny reveal in the Boiled fight more impactful by not adapting a chapter where he turns skinny to take out a couple of random goons. It's a directorial choice that many anime do, JJK S1 did that too by switching and cutting a lot of panels out to make the story better as a viewing experience for non-manga readers. Lmao what a fking idiot they skipped chapter 2 which had a lot of fun comedic moments and interactions between Sakamoto and Aoi lol your example for JJK does not make much sense as switching between panels is entirely different from completely cutting them out maybe use your imagination a little bit more and then comment on any post otherwise you’d just make yourself look like another pathetic clown like those trolls who make useless threads and get dunked on for being a loser |

Having a fight on a rollercoaster is something you don't really see at all, so it was pretty cool to see Shin doing his best to hold his own against his opponent, who was hell bent on trying to take out Sakamoto while he and his family enjoyed the rollercoaster ride itself. It felt fitting that the finale of this battle would be at the live stage, where Shin ended up in the amusement park's mascot costume and, thanks to Sakamoto's instructions while using his own abilities, Shin was able to take out his opponent while the crowd went wild. Not to forget, Nagumo was a pretty fun character to be introduced to, where his doppelganger of Sakamoto had Shin and Lu fooled so easily. Hopefully we'll see more of him in future episodes. |

@Confused_100 If you don't remember it, that's not my problem, because I have seen it. Yeah, and I'm not saying that it doesn't deserve better treatment. My point is that I'm enjoying it, and I have no problem with the animation being a little choppy sometimes. That's just me. That's my opinion. Is it wrong that I want to write my opinion online? And MAPPA is the best studio, in my opinion. We love the animators for sure but note that they are giving us these amazing animations because of the overwork and the pressure. Just scroll up a little. People are always comparing SD with DS and JJK, so I don't need to write things again. It is not that a lot of people want the JJK treatment; it is just that they are so good that people want that animation. Don't you want it? Sure you want it, if it was possible I would want that treatment, why not? My DS point is about the first half of the first season, not the Mugen Train arc, Mugen Train was the best arc in DS IMO, and UFOTABLE nailed it. And I never said you are spoiled, I just said you have to keep your expectations right, it is TMS we are talking about! They can give us Akira and they can give us Baki, that's just how they are, but they at least have a decent animation, and yeah SD has a decent animation, but it is not perfect for sure, and I'm aware of it. It was fun to have this conversation with me, I don't understand why you didn't like it. |

@someguy WIT is a very good studio, but you have to look at their upcoming projects, The One Piece, a remake of Eiichiro Oda's magnum opus, SPY X FAMILY: S3, Moonrise, an original anime they are making, Shin Samurai-den Yaiba, a remake of a classic anime, they also took the helm for the fourth season of Ascendance of a Bookworm, which is a very good isekai anime, they have 293 employees now, but they even get help from Clover Works, since they are in a partnership to get us amazing adaptations, but 2024 was a very bad year for Wit, they had Grimm, Isekai Suicide Squad, and Shikonoko nokonoko koshitantan. They are focused on the One Piece remake, so even if they were the option, they turned it down, for sure. |

Bruh… The only people up there comparing it are you and the defenders lol. The people responding to you is because of your comparison, not because they wanted it lol. Imo MADHOUSE is the best studio. MAPPA unfortunately ruined a lot of animes just because of overworking. It seems you only watched CSM and JJK, ironically lol. Best example: Tower of God. They have great animation because of their best animators mostly are freelancers or from JJK team, but when it comes to outside of that, they lack heavily. I would even say Pierrot is doing better because atleast they elevate the material to a higher level with story additions not just animation. But all that is my opinion ofcourse. Now do I want JJK or DS animation? That’s a trick question because there’s a difference between want and realistic expectations from TMS. TMS has the capability to do good animation not “fine animation”. There’s a huge gap between fine and perfect. People and fans were expecting atleast good. And to me this is bare minimum animation for it to not look bad. Imagine if there’s just a small percentage drop of animation quality, would it still be fine? I highly doubt that. But atleast you admitted that it did deserve better, so leave the ones criticising it be or atleast if you are gonna challenge them, stop with the same ingenuity of “both extremes”. There’s something called a grey area. So for example: There are multiple animes last year that weren’t done by either MAPPA or UFOATABLE but still looked and were animated in great way. We don’t need that or want that. Hence why your question was a trick one, no I don’t want that for SD. If I actually want it to have the highest unrealistic expectations ever, I would imagine One punch man. Why? Because it is the best style to convey the manga correctly. The problem is MADHOUSE aren’t doing it, so my realistic expectations lowered accordingly to make it acceptable to what TMS can offer in average but even then they provided less than their average. That’s when I criticise because it’s natural. To act like this is TMS average or over, means you didn’t watch enough of their animes. Hope that explains why I am not liking this adaptation so far though Extra: DS best arc is the next movie trilogy imo. Unfortunately they are milking it but who wouldn’t when mugen train got the best box office in the time of COVID… But atleast it is promised to have the best animation and it’s Ufoatable. So my expectations for them are that big for a reason. |

@Confused_100 MADHOUSE are also great, I just forgot about them, and Pierrot is better than MAPPA? Nah, they ruined Bleach's art style with pointy chins for every character in TYBW, even though I never watched Bleach the comparison for the character designs is obvious to me, also don't forget Tokyo Ghoul, Pierrot ruined it by changing the story. Pierrot's golden era ended a long time ago, but I like Yakuza Fiance which they released recently. Tower of God is not a MAPPA anime it is from Telecom Animation Film, and if you look at my profile you see that I'm watching Zenshuu. and I watched Yuri on Ice, Hell's Paradise, AOT, and Vinland Saga from MAPPA. But in the end, I get what you say, and I can accept your explanation, it is okay if you don't like the adaptation. EXTRA: The Demon Slayer trilogy movie, will have Vincent Chansard and One Piece animators in it, so it is gonna surpass Mugen Train as well, I don't like DS myself, but DS fans are eating well. |

Ah my fault about tower of god lol. I don’t know why I thought that was MAPPA for some reason… Well anyways I do believe they are top 5 animation studios but not in my top 3 because of their overwork behaviour tbh, plus I am not a big fan of their color palettes especially CSM, they are fixing that by the looks of JJK2 and CSM movie though. |

@Confused_100 Everyone makes mistakes I thought TMS and Telecom Animation were the same studio! LOL! I loved CSM though it was like watching a Hollywood movie, but I love the new animation style they are using since JJK S2. |

@AmirKazeXD So EP1 adapted the first chapter. That means they adapted chapter IV and onwards from EP2. Is the other two skipped chapters pivotal to the storyline? |

@aurora_yuuki Episode 1 adapted the first chapter. Episode 2 adapted the second chapter right till the "Then I will Divorce You scene" and continued from the beginning of chapter 4 and ended with the 5th chapter. Episode 3 starts with chapter 6 till the end of chapter 8 ------------- Chapters 2 and 3 had some plot holes, and are not that important to the story, and it uses a very nice trump card for the anime, so you will see that in the next episodes. and the next episode will most likely adapt 3 chapters from chapter 9 to 11. |

It was indeed surprising to hear Sakamoto talk that much lol, which was Nagumo in disguise. I don't understand how he disguises himself as Sakamoto (seeing him change from Sakamoto -> Nagumo is like magic), but honestly he's cool. I didn't read the manga so I don't know how he acts, but he seems like a charming... little boy. I hope he's on Sakamoto's side... (well, he told Sakamoto about the bounty, so he's probably on Sakamoto's side, right?) The highlight of this episode was Shin's fight with that Kaonashi-like guy!! (I don't remember his name), I swear Shin is so cool!!! The part where he jumped off the rollercoaster made me go "whoah!" followed by him beating the crap out of that guy. Way to go, Shin!!!!
