Where did anyone say they want JJK or DS animation? Like bro both of you are the most toxic people out there because you are dismissing criticism by spreading false information… Like get out of here fake fan

No1 asked for JJK or DS animation, that fake narrative are made by fake fans who don’t want this to get any good treatment whatsoever

Animation isn't great but it's an enjoyable show and all the casual anime friends I have really like it. Will it win awards? No, but as long as it's enjoyable I can have cope for better animation in season 2. My real only complaint is with the editing. It feels like they added this grainy filter to it that was unnecessary.

Still, I'm very much enjoying the adaptation so far, but I do agree with those who think it can be better.

Even Solo Leveling is going through it does that mean the quality of solo leveling have gone down to match Sakadays?

I enjoyed this anime's art and color direction making it look like it came straight out of the late 2000s. Reminds me of Beelzebub or Gintama. I am one easy person to please and I enjoy the fights, the new anime fans just think Kimetsu no Yaiba level of animation is the norm.

It's pretty rare to see a fight on top of a roller coaster... I can't even remember the last time I saw an anime with that kind of fight... {Maybe in some old anime I watched many years ago}.

@M-T_S Yeah I mentioned that the industry is toxic and not all the studios are affected the same, for some it will be like BL S2 and Uzumaki, for some it will be like Solo Leveling.
Solo leveling also has more budget than SD, it is so obvious.

@Zak-_- Season 1 part 2 is coming in the summer, so it will probably have better animation since they have more time.

@M-T_S Yeah, Blue Lock definitely has a better art style, but the animation was only good for the goal scenes and the last two episodes.

Me too tbh, hopefully they do it justice in anime this time. Btw I will respond to everything in this because the splitting to different ones is annoying to me. It will be a long wall of text, so bear with me.

I don’t remember that account saying he needed JJK or DS treatment at all… Most fans wanted atleast some respect and love to this anime. TMS had the teams to do this better but focused on other animes like rent a girlfriend more… Yes the production committee is a problem but the studio is a part of it as well. Why do you think people don’t respect MAPPA as a studio but loves its animators? Going all in one entity as the big bad here isn’t right because both are the problems.

They also removed more content and actually removed scenes in the fight of first episode because I amnot kidding “would be hard to animate”: example: disassembling the gun in the fight scene. So acting like adding scenes which weren’t even cool to cover up better scenes that were removed isn’t a forgive and forget in my book. Look at the latest Solo leveling episode, most fans felt “why add Cha original scene? Only to rush the interaction between two characters that was in the manhwa/novel”. People like new scenes but not in the expense of the original ones.

Your opinion on DS is weird for me but okay. The CGI in DS is revolutionary because it’s background CGI most of the time except that mugen train demon, which ironically is connected to the background lol. Most of CGI there is used for either background images or effects for attacks. The expectations aren’t that high otherwise people would think Solo leveling animation is mid lol. I won’t deny there are some people out there that do this but you are generalising those minority with the actual criticisms. That’s where I dislike the conversation.

Bro, just imagine if WIT Studio got their hands on Sakamoto Days. They would take time, but if supplied with a good crew, they can make banger fight scenes. Look at the final fight in Vivy Flourite Eye’s Song, amazing choreography and outstanding animation. Alas, we just have to make do with what we’re given rn, I like the animation so far tho, I find it consistent. Voice acting and soundtrack is also rly good. Im kinda bummed abt the bus scene being removed.

i like how the anime wrapped this arc up in one episode, this adaptation has it's issues but the pacing isn't one of them. although nagumo's transformation caught me off-guard, i was expecting something offscreen but it felt very supernatural here. not saying it was anything natural to begin with. shin's fall was pretty decent as well, enjoyable episode despite the standards i expected.

also pretty boy nagumo is here, no homo.

While I was watching the episode and saw Sakamoto's t-shirt, I thought it might be a reference to the movie "No country for old men". What do you guys think?

Bruh… The only people up there comparing it are you and the defenders lol. The people responding to you is because of your comparison, not because they wanted it lol.

Imo MADHOUSE is the best studio. MAPPA unfortunately ruined a lot of animes just because of overworking. It seems you only watched CSM and JJK, ironically lol. Best example: Tower of God. They have great animation because of their best animators mostly are freelancers or from JJK team, but when it comes to outside of that, they lack heavily. I would even say Pierrot is doing better because atleast they elevate the material to a higher level with story additions not just animation. But all that is my opinion ofcourse.

Now do I want JJK or DS animation? That’s a trick question because there’s a difference between want and realistic expectations from TMS. TMS has the capability to do good animation not “fine animation”. There’s a huge gap between fine and perfect. People and fans were expecting atleast good. And to me this is bare minimum animation for it to not look bad. Imagine if there’s just a small percentage drop of animation quality, would it still be fine? I highly doubt that. But atleast you admitted that it did deserve better, so leave the ones criticising it be or atleast if you are gonna challenge them, stop with the same ingenuity of “both extremes”. There’s something called a grey area.

So for example: There are multiple animes last year that weren’t done by either MAPPA or UFOATABLE but still looked and were animated in great way. We don’t need that or want that. Hence why your question was a trick one, no I don’t want that for SD. If I actually want it to have the highest unrealistic expectations ever, I would imagine One punch man. Why? Because it is the best style to convey the manga correctly. The problem is MADHOUSE aren’t doing it, so my realistic expectations lowered accordingly to make it acceptable to what TMS can offer in average but even then they provided less than their average. That’s when I criticise because it’s natural. To act like this is TMS average or over, means you didn’t watch enough of their animes.

Hope that explains why I am not liking this adaptation so far though

Extra: DS best arc is the next movie trilogy imo. Unfortunately they are milking it but who wouldn’t when mugen train got the best box office in the time of COVID… But atleast it is promised to have the best animation and it’s Ufoatable. So my expectations for them are that big for a reason.

Well anyways I do believe they are top 5 animation studios but not in my top 3 because of their overwork behaviour tbh, plus I am not a big fan of their color palettes especially CSM, they are fixing that by the looks of JJK2 and CSM movie though.
