THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- *sigh* This episode made me really happy. Enter new biseinen, Eugene! Anyways, I'm so enjoying this series. You can watch the raw here: http://up.b9dm.com/video.php/vid_9328.htm |

I already know I love this anime! >< xD Aaah, the bishies... can't get enough of them! And Kajika is great, not so light-headed(?) as the most reverse harem females. Finally someone who hugs the bishies. Well, it's only Li Ren now, but we'll see! + she has interests in the bishies instead of bishies in her. (for now then) Can't wait for the next ep! |

Well well, Eugene, there you are. I quite like his anime version, although his eyes seem somewhat loopy :D. I had to laugh at Li Ren and Eugene's (shall I call him Mustafa?) showdown. Somebody's feeling challenged I see ^^. I wonder about what reaction will people watching this without prior manga knowledge have upon Kajika's realisation or well, one-sided judgement, that Eugene is a host for Mustafa's soul.I remember going absolutely numb-minded at that while reading, so I'm quite curious to check. Carl is going to already be introduced in the next episode, I guess the director wants to be done with the husband candidates introduction and dive straight into the meat of the story . Can't wait. |

(for now then) Can't wait for the next ep! ^_^ The anime is fun to watch, isn't it? And the bishies are, besides pretty to look at, interesting in the variety of personalities and backgrounds. Can't wait until we've met them all in the anime. I love Kajika. I think she's a fun character and enjoy watching the way she deals with situations. All the hug scenes between Kajika and Ri Len are <3 Can't wait until she's gotten close to the other guys. Should make the "game" more exciting. seimei said: Well well, Eugene, there you are. The loopy eyes are supposed to make him look more like Mustafa, I think. XDD;; Anyways, I think drowsy, arrogant eyes are kinda sexy. They set him apart from Li Ren's cunning long and narrow eyes, Rumati's large and pure orient blue eyes, and Carl's weary sky blue eyes. I like that the design for each character is different and a lot of emotion is expressed through their eyes. Like when Li Ren can smile with his lips, but be empty in his eyes. Li Ren and Eugene...lol I think Japanese fans were looking forward to that. At the end of episode 2, it's Li Ren who left the biggest impression on Eugene. XDD;; I think they both feel challenged. Yes, might as well call Eugene Mustafa, it seems even in death Li Ren (and Kajika) can't get away from him. I'd like to read a Eugene (Mustafa)/Li Ren fic one day. I wonder about what reaction will people watching this without prior manga knowledge have upon Kajika's realisation or well, one-sided judgement, that Eugene is a host for Mustafa's soul.I remember going absolutely numb-minded at that while reading, so I'm quite curious to check. I don't know. I've read one review that thought it was sweet and sad that she misses her pet so much. And I found it fascinating how Kajika was completely unembarrassed by her beliefs. Untouched by skepticism and the desire to be accepted as "normal". She's very honest and unafraid about what she thinks, feels, and believes. Her naivety, maybe? Anyways, I guess her behavior may seem sort of confusing to non-manga readers... Not effectively shown enough in the anime? Anyways, strange characters and behaviors happen all the time in anime and manga. Maybe it's more acceptable if it's humorous. They cut out a lot of the humor from the manga which is too bad. Carl is going to already be introduced in the next episode, I guess the director wants to be done with the husband candidates introduction and dive straight into the meat of the story . Can't wait. I think the director just wants to gather all the lovely male seiyuu as soon as possible so their fans don't get bored and watch something else. XDD;; I wonder if Carl is just making a cameo in that episode, but not meeting Kajika yet. He does live in New York. Which means that Rumati will be the last to appear. Next destination: Hong Kong! I'm looking forward to the plot getting underway, too. Maybe, all the good production value was saved for this? |

Li Ren was so caring for Kajika in this episode. Such pure love. Sugoi! Toranosuke with fork with Kajika was funny. He seem also jealous of Li Ren. I like a lot flashbacks of Li Ren, Mustafa and Kajika when younger. Still find it hard to see that Kajika was foolish enough to see Vorkan right away as Mustafa just because he have similar hair color and eyes. Kajika at his place got me worried after hearing the word jisatsu! Hear it so much in Japan! ENOUGH! Suicide really bad in Japan a lot in schools. To me it all was danger and at moment Rise girl came with gun. Vorkan rejecting made me puke! He nice guy? No! Now me think he only appear and I hear right but this guy make women suicide themselves and want to kill Kajika??? Mustafa death was :( Really liked the face off of Vorkan and Li Ren! O_O Big trouble! Kajika might have been shot! |

She remembered Yui! I was totally expecting it never to be brought up again. Li Ren actually admits his feelings. I was really dreading if they were going to make him the clueless-to-his-own-feelings type. Too many of those in shoujo-land. DX He still reminds me very much of a Hanazawa Rui character, though, which is rather disappointing. I love Rui-characters, but they never end up happy. Can't wait to meet the other two men! I'm enjoying the mix of characters here. |

Despite the obvious graphic flaws, this episode was great for anyone liking shoujos, good-looking men (not my case but well...), good characterization, nice dramatization or simply old school animes. Very very good one, I must say I almost rank this series in my top 5 of the season for now (like 6th or 7th at the moment). |

Well it happened the same thing as the first episode, the first part bored me as hell, but the second one fullfiled that hole. Now we got the second man wich is Eugene, a lonely, intriguing and uninterested man, without of course, leaving behind the sexyness, wich obviusly as Kajika's father said, would fascinate any human. Nevertheless as Harry predicted, she felt atracted to him in a very weird way and he obviusly saw something on her that got him interested. The Mustafa soul, was really annoying, it was very foolish from Kajika to think that Eugene could have Mustafa's eyes, but at the very least it seems that she left those toughts behind at the end of the episode. Now its even more interesting than before, Eugene has something against Li-Ren, its like the clash of sexy peoplez. I wouldn't have tought that the next man would be so much interesting as Li-Ren was, i was wrong, they both have diferent personalities and very unique, (and hell both sexy as fuck) wich is quite clearly very hard to find in a show. I like that the design for each character is different and a lot of emotion is expressed through their eyes, but the animation is not that great, is still not a problem for me, but i wish the motion of the characters would be a bit more... 'move-able'? Is not the fact that they sometimes stand there and talk -wich obviusly this show has a lot of dialogues-, is just that i feel sometimes like im watching a picture with the background voices. madeinakihabara said: Li-Ren actually admits his feelings. I was really dreading if they were going to make him the clueless-to-his-own-feelings type. Definetly, wich makes this series more mature than it already is. The typical 'I don't know what i feel' character sometimes pisses me off, I'm glad that they took the fuck off that kind of character here. But im predicting a 'tragic past behind a character' thingy, dunno why but that would annoy me. I wish the story could move forward always as is it already doing. |

Loll, Nadistu, I was thinking along the same lines. The direction in this episode was a little weird, and especially jumpy when Li-ren encountered Eugene. At this point, I'm wondering if this show is going to work in arcs where Kajika is infatuated with a guy and helps to solve whatever his problems are thereby making them fall in love, or if its going to be that same set up and be episodic with the game and Li-ren's feelings be a way of tying everything together. |

I think it would be interesting too see how the main male characters interact with each other instead of making arcs like you have in mind. But when i think of it... seems like it could be a bachelor show, wich i don't want to. Anyway my point is "The man wich will catch her heart" if you know what i mean. |

I mean that the focus would be on the new guy...kind of like in Saiunkoku Monogatari. Each arc added a boy or two to Shuurei's harem, and there are reactions and interactions with those new guys. |

LAME! Yep. me too, I wonder how many times she said "Mustafa" in this ep and every time I was thinking Shut up you're so annoying! Ditto! I kept on thinking, "Um, am I supposed to cheer for the crazy leopard girl and hope she gets a happy ending now?" I don't even know if I'd want Li-Ren saddled with that girl's brand of nutty. I mean, I get it... she loved her pet. I love my pet... Enough to expect it to live with me forever as a ghost/illusion? ...Not so much. And I get she was isolated on that island with that cat to play with and not much else and it was probably some kind of family stand in blah blah blah... but it was still a turn off. I was willing to accept that she was wealthy/cool/lucky enough to have a leopard best friend thing, but the whole I-see-a-man-with-similar-coloring-and-a-bad-personality-and-I'm-going-to-believe-he's-the-reincarnation-of-my-pet-who-died-after-this-guy-was-born-thing made me go "huh?!?!" for the second half of the episode. AND the art was a little dodgy... Sigh. I had high hopes for this series -- being a total sucker for reverse harems and romances -- but this episode left a pretty disappointed. I'll try to keep it watching until all the players show up, but... meh. |

I haven't read the manga, but for some reason I get the feeling Kajika will end up with Li-Ren, in the end? He apparantly likes her, which I think is very cute. (She'll probably comes to her senses and finally let's Mustafa rest in peace..) And the other end, that would be a typical cliché ending.. Though, they make a great couple .. |

Drama~ I didn't like how Kajika forced Mustafa's 'character' onto Eugene, that was a bit much. Li Ren's little stab at that other guy (was it Kajika's bodyguard?) made me laugh though. |

I highly doubt that the Girl/Guy (long haired) will be the same way to Kajika as Li-Ren, she/he looks more... lively. Not cold and charming as Li-Ren or Lonely as Eugene. Theres 2 more guys out there that we don't know. Can't predict anything at this point. |

I really want to like this series, but so far the heroine is pissing me off. So whiny about her pet to the point of fixating on a guy just because he looks like her dead pet. I get that she would be fascinated, but insisting that he is the reincarnation of her pet is ridiculous. The pet would have died while Eugene was already alive. What - he had to thank Mustafa for his looks? I will keep watching because of Li Ren, but if the girl continues getting on my nerves I might have to drop this. |

I find it ridiculous when Kajika sees Mustafa in Eugene but oh well, leave the lady for it and since it's about reincarnation. Anyho, the woman named Liz with the gun wasn't even angered by the fact that Eugene has a girl with him in his apartment and wasn't even that aware of Kajika and was just talking shit about the suicide and Eugene's other woman. Shouldn't she be more angered to find another girl with her "boyfriend" in his apartment aside from his cheating? Or Kajika just looks like a little girl to her eyes? I like the part when the bodyguard said that Li Ren was jealous. |

As to the Mustafa/Eugene thing ... it doesn't bother me that Kajika cared so much about her leopard. What does bother me is that she decided with certainty that Eugene must have Mustafa's spirit AND went on to camp out in front of his apartment and basically demanded him to agree with her. Let's just say if some 14 year old met me in front of my house and started talking about the spirit of her dead pet residing in my body, I would probably call the cops. I want to like this show, but with the low budget animation (Eugene looked cross-eyed half the time) and the currently lulzy plot, I'm having a hard time taking it seriously. Of course, that doesn't mean it isn't *fun* but ... can anyone tell me if it gets better? I was expecting more from a series by the mangaka of Jyu-Oh-Sei. |

Watched the first two episodes of this yesterday even thought I thought it sounded silly. I feel like I shouldn't complain about lack of new shoujo if I don't even watch what is made. I like that this is based on a finished manga (from the 80s!!) and will probably have enough episodes to cover the whole story. Plus, I just watched and enjoyed Jyu Oh Sei, so more from this mangaka sounds good to me. Well, the plot seems just as silly as it sounds so far, but it feels surprisingly fresh. Despite being a reverse harem (that doesn't even try to pretend not to be) the way it's been unfolding has been pretty unpredictable. I feel like a lot more is coming than just a few dozen love triangles. I'm hoping this will turn into one of those shows that everyone knows is a little stupid but they love anyway. |

I have a deep problem with this episode. How am I suppose to enjoy a simple reverse harem when the chick is obsessed over a dead leopard? We all have pets that we loved, but we don't break down in tears just because we see someone with the same colored hair and eyes. I thought that it was weird when she was having the flashbacks and saying how she loved his slow stride, little did I know that was the least weird part of the episode. I also had a problem with her forcing the idea of Eugene being Mustafa on to him. Calling him by the name and everything. If someone was sitting at my doorstep saying such things to me, I'd call the cops. |

How disappointing.. I thought Kajika-sama was kinda of like Ryougi Shiki but it turns out that there is a huge difference between the two. Mustafa is Leopard, yet Fukuyama-san and Jun-san aren't voicing them. However, Fukuyama-san and Jun-san will be taking part in the anime as one of the main characters. |

I feel like she's going to pick Li Ren in the end and I hope it happens in a not-cliche way or else I'll be disappointed. So, Kajika is just a little bit crazy. That's fine. She's gone through something traumatic so it's understandable. If they keep showing scenes of Mustafa being dead, though, I think this series is going to be too intense for me and I'll have to drop it. I can't stomach dead pets. This series isn't doing it for me. I find Kajika kind of annoying. I understand being sad over the loss of a pet, but this was just weird. Kajika is blissfully retarded - she actually takes herself seriously. I can handle the fact that she's moping over her dead pet, but to believe that the soul of a dead animal is inside a person? She insists that Eugene remember "himself", WTF. Kajika said: "I just can't be wrong." YES YOU ARE. The only reason I will stick with this show is because someone went through the effort to download it for me. But even that might not be enough. |
