| This Ryoga guy just won't give up yikes I like this change for Akane's character though. It feels like a reset for her character, beyond just the physical look of her short hair. Seems their house is getting a few pet friends this season too. (wtf is with that dog's eyes though...) The bath fan service stuff were priceless. |

| So she grew her hair to imitate Kasumi and in hope that the doctor will like her back. No wonder she had such a big reaction to it, crying like someone important to her had died, RIP long hair. A bit over dramatic but understandable. The scene with Ranma complimenting her was sweet. Been really liking their interactions. Akane too with short hair now looks like is ready to move on. Now if somebody could kill that fucking pig(literally) I'd be very much happy. So annoying garbage piece of shit. Big misunderstanding cause of him too. Wonder when Akane will find out. Hilarious reaction from her family though. Also Kasumi's super strong as well, lifting that weight like nothing. They updated the visuals in ED song and KV with Akana short hair. I still need time to get used to her short hair. Been liking a lot of short hair girls recently even though I've liked girls with longer hair more forever and Akane was a prime example of that so will take time. |

| Another absolutely adorable episode. Akane's crying was very touching. It made me feel so bad for her. Even tho, she must have wanted to do it for a while now, she did it for Tofu-sensei and he thinks that it looks cute on her but not in a way she would have wanted. But, that's love, I guess. Also, Ranma apologized and indirectly called her cute which was so precious. There were so many cute moments in this episode and then everything with Ryoga and how he turned into a pig at Jusenkyo. LOL. Akane likes the piggy tho. And, Ranma is jealous that Ryoga is with Akane. Everything is cute. The new ED visuals are a nice touch, even the KV. Loved it. Forgot to mention that the OST was beautiful. |

| Without a doubt best episode so far by a mile. I knew Akane’s hair was going to go back to her insecurities about her sister and her femininity and I really like how it was handled in this one. Yea it may have been taken from her without her consent, but in the end going with the short hair look is Akane embracing who SHE is and starting a new phase of her life trying to be the best version of herself rather than catching up to her sister. Ranma telling her that the hairstyle suits her and that he prefers her like that is really turning the page and starting a new chapter. She is worthy of being loved and appreciated for who she is rather than just the fake image she’s tried to project to the world and Ranma admires her for her. Such a cute moment when Ranma calls her cute. The crying scene in the clinic was also well done, I love how the characters are actually sensible and can pick up when something is wrong. Like if a kid you’ve known their whole life just starts crying in the clinic randomly obviously something is up, so s/o Tofu for checking on Akane and making sure she didn’t feel alone. Last few mins of the episode were so unhinged lmao. Still dying about Ryoga not being able to beat Ranma in his literal sleep, as well as the fact he’s a shapeshifter too. But it’s a little funny they didn’t bring that up until now, like surely after the first time he fought Ranma and he transformed he’d remember it was Ranma who knocked him off the cliff 😂 fanservice went crazy in this one and I suspect the gooners on twitter will have it all over the TL.. but other than that, amazing episode. Again finding this story so much better than UY. |

| Oh, man... It's finally here... Short-hair Akane. It was only for 4 episodes but I'm really gonna miss long-hair Akane... Tho this short-hair Akane looks cute too. The ED changed to reflect this change which was really cool. But it was also very cool to find out that they released a new, updated key visual. I never thought they'd do that too. This was a really nice episode. Akane's emotions were animated really well. I love how much attention she's getting. It's almost like she's the star of the show which is crazy. Ryoga's secret has also been finally revealed. Dude's a victim of Jusenkyo too. And the worst part is that he transforms into a pig AND he was almost eaten. If I were Ryoga, I'd want to kill Ranma too. What a horrible fate. With this episode, one of my least favorite tropes of Ranma 1/2 also starts. Idk if this counts as a spoiler but just in case, The gripe about the censorship still persists. It still looks super awkward. But this episode showcased that it just wouldn't be possible to adapt the scene with convenient censorship. It'd probably be really hard. But it's still doable I think. Ig for Mappa it was either this or completely remove the scene and replace it with something else which I don't even know what they could do. So Ig this was basically the only option without changing the show's rating. Ig I'll have to stop harping on it. It's clear that this won't change at this point. Waiting for the next episode. |
| The significance of the long hair was adressed and somehow losing it was a blessing in disguise as Akane can now move on. In her case the character progression came after the unintentional hair cut. And they're right, Akane looks good(better) with the short hair. Prolly my favorite episode so far with Akane's development and piggy Ryoga. |

| Oh man, I still remember how I thought her hair didn't look that short and I was hoping it would stay that way and then Akane goes and cuts it shorter xD. Not that it looks bad on her but I liked the long hair better. I think it's safe to say this is where my dislike for the famous character development haircut started haha. And here's pig Ryoga... I'm not a fan. That's all I'm going to say for now. Censorship using barbie bodies is so weird, I have never been ok with it and never will be. Farewell long-haired Akane, it was good to see you again. |
| It was heartbreaking to see Akane cry. Insecurity about her feminity and also inferiority complex to Kasumi really ran deep. Even if she wanted to slowly move on suddenly losing hair was very tough for her. Situation was shown very well when she breaks down in tears. Now finally free she can be again who she actually is and don't need to imitate others. Ngl she looked better with long hair but she is still cute with short hair. Good to see Ranma agrees to tried his best to console her. That was very cute scene between two of them.  When Tofu said it suits her it hurt her but when Ranma said it made her happy. Akane got lots of good development here. 2nd half was more standard stuff. Ryouga reason for revenge is way more justifiable now that he is half pig. But why this dude followed him to China😭😭. Also got some "peak" scenes Ranma getting jealous as that fucking pig getting in bed with his "wife" lol. He needs get beaten up more. In return entire Tendo family is encouraging him to keep ambush Akane at night. "What an amazing family" Best episode... |
| Quite the lovely episode considering how Akane came to terms with her feelings towards the doctor and the reason she started let her hair grow out. She's now into Ranma... a bit considering that their relationship isn't on further stages yet. It was a neat detail to see the opening and ending sequence change a bit accordingly. Still not a fan of nippleless Ranma but it is what it is. |

| RIP long hair Akane, welcome short hair Akane, I still 100% stand by that this is a downgrade but I can’t deny that she still looks cute, just a different and slightly worse type of cute lol. And I mentioned this in my post on the original episode, they really do go and try to psychologically make the viewer think this new look suits Akane better by having everyone say she’s looks cuter or better this way, and I don’t care how good it is for her character development, you ain’t convincing me that it looks better that easily lol. That being said, that moment with Ranma afterward is so good here in the remake, it was great in the OG too but man it looked extra crispy here, and speaking of crispy, holy shit that short beach scene was beautiful, I want a whole show that looks like that scene, closest I can think of is “Great Pretender”, maybe I should rewatch that one lol. And we also got to see Ryoga’s little secret and running gag that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and it’s that he also fell into one of the springs and becomes a pig when wet, and he also gets free reign when it comes to Akane because of the pig form, it does get annoying sometimes but I generally enjoy the pig bits, I think he’s especially cute in the remake, I’m also glad they kept the being cooked alive bit, one hell of a way to discover how to change back lol. And damn that bath scene was very nice, the lack of nipples doesn’t bother me much so I still found it pretty hot, imagine being able to sit on Ranma’s ass like that lol, quite the scene for Genma to walk in on too. Also nice change to the ED visuals, honestly I’m glad it’s in line with how Akane looks currently in the show, if it was still long I would just get mad that she used to look better at the end of every episode lol. |
| Short hair really suits Akane the best after all. Unlike her sister, Akane is quite a tomboy and also has sweet feminine charm so this hairstyle makes her cuter. The first meeting between Akane, Ranma and P-chan with that dog was absolute gold lmao. New adorb ED compliments this episode well. Sunday morning has never been this good before. |

| Akane sure had quite the emotional weight in her heart. Her eerie calmness at the start of it had Ranma out of sorts. I'm glad her troubles have been lifted. Ryoga hating Ranma for turning him into an adorable pig makes sense. Their fight in the bath was too funny! |

| Easily the best show (Ranma, Kenshin, Daima, Dandadan) by far that I'm watching this season. This has just been so great both story/content wise and visually/stylistically. My first exposure to this manga author's works was the Urusei Yatsura adaption by David Pro which I loved, and now I'm totally loving this. Makes me think I should give Inuyasha a shot one of these days. I think I saw only a few minutes of an episode back when it was airing on Toonami in the early 2000s, but didn't really bother watching more than that because I was only into Dragon Ball back then. |

| Why the fuck is this show so damn sexual lmao There is something I don't understand... Ryoga knew Ranma was the girl in school, right? So why does he only discover it when they are in the bathroom? That was weird. Oh, another thing I don't get, to transform they have to be fully submerged in water? Because Ryoga transformed just for being splashed by the falling rain, I wouldn't call it being submerged... but if that means they transform the moment they touch cold water, then they can't even drink it? How does that work??? Also Ryoga turned into a human again when he got thrown into a hot pan, there was no water involved, does it mean they transform just by touching something that is hot or cold??? It's actually really confusing lol |

Ranma bringing the neighbors dog thinking it was Ryoga, putting hot water over the dogs head lmao wtf Then after realizing Ryoga is the pig, he gets jealous cause Akane starts treating the pig like some cute pet… Ryoga definitely is best boi, he is mad at Ranma even when he’s in the pig form ahahaha |
| Couldn't remember any more if both girl Ranma and Ryoga combined offered themselves to be punched for the bad thing they did, but it was a class act on their side, if i was Akane i would have been soooo pissed off. Never cared about symbolism even if well explained like this and even if her crying scene actually hit in the feels, she was sooooo much better with long hair and i would have gladly watched her stay with that look forever. Still, i noticed something by other italian fans of the show today... Kasumi and her sister are just three years apart, so... does the flashback actually add up if the former is in high school uniform and the latter seems so younger by comparison? Now, the P-Chan part of story begins, making me laugh hard again when Ranma for the first time acts like a cute girl on purpose with actual mischievous intent after noticing Ryoga recognized him/her as the culprit of his curse along with Genma in panda form. Also didn't expect to see again the... exact moment when Akane makes girl Ranma stop chasing P-Chan. Ranma can be so naive, did he really expect to sneak into her room to reveal P-Chan's real identity and getting away with it? "Enjoy" your family comments now... |

| I watched the original a long, long time ago on open TV. And I still remember that episode where they were about to cook Ryoga as if it was yesterday. This new version didn't disappoint at all. I also loved the detail that Akane has now short hair in the ending. |
